Have ROH declared war on WWE with MSG show?:

Joe Coff, says...

"It doesn't. If you want me to say it does, it doesn't. I'm focused on my business, and they have a business and they're really, really good at it and if we were to look at the two battle sides, I would feel like maybe—I was just watching Braveheart, so I'm going to just use that analogy here—maybe we're William Wallace in that first battle for the first time. But at the end of the day, they run a business, I run a business. There's plenty of room in the space for both businesses, and I don't consider this a war at all. And it would be a silly war to get into. I think we have to stay focused on what we believe in for our companies and follow that course."

Neville:

Joe Hendry:

The local hero has discussed having to give up his song brilliant parodies in favour of original songs, with Impact...

"One of the cool things about a relationship so far it's such a rarity -- especially at this level -- for Impact to have given me the creative space and the freedom. With these entrances, all I have to do is show up with a file. You know I show up with a file and that's what they're gonna play. To have that level of trust of a television product of the quality of Impact Wrestling, to me that speaks volumes about how Impact has seen itself working with the talents. I've been allowed to go away and kind of think about, 'How are we going to entertain the fans? What's the best possible way I can entertain the fans in the live audience and on television as well?' The real challenge this time is I've had to come away from parodies because -- because here's the thing -- even though parody is protected under fair use, we don't really need any kind of issues with copyright and things like that. So we've just used original songs thus far."

What happened the night before and I don't think it's a justice to the people being inducted. I don't think it's a justice to the fans that sit there for four hours. I think it needs to be changed completely right up on its head. I don't care what anybody says and I don't care if the person that puts it together thinks I'm full of s--t. It needs to be changed because it sucks. I don't care about what other people say or how they did it, I'm telling you in my experience as a headliner in 2018 in the Hall Of Fame -- it needs to be changed."

JR fumes over Alum:

Jim Ross has blasted a TSA operative for abusing his powers to grope to Torrie Wilson...

And I think people saw the beautiful Torrie Wilson, one of the most beautiful women in the world, and they pressed their luck. And it's just unfortunate that things like that happen and these people that do these things under the cloak of 'doing our job'… 'just doing our job.' Goddang, I get so tired of hearing that, 'we're just doing our job, huh.' Bulls--t. You're doing the job you want to do. You're not doing the job. So, in any event, the TSA officer in Orlando, shame on you for orchestrating a farce against a lovely young woman just trying to make her flight home."

Alum trashes NXT:

Ryback is not a fan of NXT...

"I watched a couple of matches but then I had to shut it off. The guys there are incredible. It seems like the different guys and wrestlers I talk to - it's different. I can't explain it. I don't know where the not selling moves or the psychology of selling or having to do 3,4,5 moves in place of one really impressive move. For example, Ricochet doing the backflips off of the ropes and Adam Cole hitting the superkick perfectly timed in place. If you listen to the reaction of the move and the crowd reaction, I would say you go for the cover there why do you pick the guy up after hitting an impressive finisher on the guy when you are already letting him kick out of it? I just think there are ways around that stuff rather than letting someone stack moves. If you are going to do it do it later on in the match. It's weird that you see that style on NXT but all those NXT guys that go to the main roster they don't do that for the most part. Not to say from time to time something will get thrown in there. Sometimes, Seth Rollins will throw a double stack in there, but it's usually placed a little differently, but I feel like watching it on NXT it will be - there's no build up to it. Also, there may have been a 20-30 move sequence during a match where there was no selling. That, I don't understand. Call me crazy, but it seems like everybody that I talk to that has a know all about pro wrestling doesn't understand it. I try to understand it. I try to put it in my mind that everything evolves, but I can't understand this because there is nowhere to go from that, and to me that is a disconnect where you hit someone with 20 moves and you don't hurt each other. I just don't know. I think if you were a small guy working with a bigger guy, that makes sense that you have to throw more things to try and hurt that guy, but two guys of the same size I just don't know. That is just my opinion on it, but I know a lot of people share that, and a lot of people that are casually watching it don't understand it. To me it exposes the business a little too much. Again, everybody can do that and no-sell anything, they really can. Athletically it's great, everything they do, but if it takes 4-5 superkicks to get a guy down then what does that say about your superkicks?"

SummerSlam 2019 is going to Canada. Toronto, Canada, to be exact.

Alum calls out WWE:

Shane Douglas is unhappy with WWE...

"Me, Brian Lee and Dean Malenko are the only living members of the Triple Threat. When people say "The Triple Threat" they think of Shane Douglas and Francine, Chris Candido and Bam Bam Bigelow. So for that company to take a slap at a group where two of the guys have passed and gone WAY to early, just shows the amount of class that company has. Classless. Maybe we should start calling them the World Classless Federation. It's pathetic. When I was there in 95/96 I wanted to take shots at other companies for the WWF and Vince told me at that point that they tried to stay above that. Apparently, the ratings have dropped so much that the mighty Vince McMahon must now think he's got to start take shots at deities from our past in the industry and things that are written in stone to try and get the ratings up. Funny thing is that Vince won't send a paycheck for residuals for what he is doing when he is evoking that. I think we've already spent too much time on this. My advice to the fans would be just stop watching. Stop paying attention to the garbage and maybe then they would get back to what our industry is supposed to be and maybe their ratings will turn around because what were they ten years ago? Nine years ago? Eight years ago? Last year? The year before that? Don't take my word for it, do your own investigation. This is the company that Vince McMahon has created. Everybody is a "yes" man, everybody kisses Vince's ass but my question is where is everyone's pride? Has everyone just become so complacent that you'll kiss his ass on television or figuratively in the back, but you just keep kissing ass? Come on. My lips have been chapped most of my life and I've never put them on a nice smooth ass of another person and it boggles my mind. I'm sure that Chris Candido's family and I'm sure Bam Bam Bigelow's sons and daughter are very appreciative of that from the "genius". I don't want to give it more credence than it should get because obviously people didn't watch it and my guess is less people will be watching next week, next month, next year and we've spoken enough about that piece of sh*t now lets move on."

Swagger reveals why he left WWE:

"So for me it was a combination of two things, I needed a change, I needed to be pushed, I needed to be challenged, and also it was a great opportunity, it was a great time to leave. It's a great time to be a pro wrestler right now. As you guys said, I'm working non-stop since I left the company. It's also a great time to be a pro fighter. So that's also why I left. I knew that I had this opportunity ahead of me and that I needed to leave to focus on it and really give MMA 125 percent, as well as capitalize on the great TV exposure that I received over the last 12 years."

I think she's awesome I think we could make magic together and I have don't have anything bad to say about her. When I first found out that she was going to come I was like 'ugh we don't need that taking away from what we're doing but she helps so much she works so hard. She always wants to learn and she loves it and respects it, and you know, I appreciate that. She works very hard."

Neville is reportedly, finally, free of WWE. Almost a year after walking out on his contract and after WWE freezing his deal to stop him continuing his career elsewhere. The cool thing about it is also CM Punk being one of the U.S. hosts. You get to see us interact on camera again. It was good to see him. I haven't seen him in a few years. He is doing great for himself and seems to be enjoying his life away from WWE. I was happy to reconnect with him and see what he is doing."

"There have been talks before about doing a surprise for the Royal Rumble. But I was with a different company or injured or something like that. It just wasn't the right time before. This time it was just the right time. They wanted a surprise. I had posted an Instagram picture -- and this is how social media can be used in a really wonderful way -- I posted a picture of the WCW Cruiserweight Title, which I still have and a replica of the WWE Cruiserweight Title. This was around the time when Enzo Amore got fired so they didn't have a champion. So I put a picture up of the belts and said, 'hey WWE I know a guy.'"

Carlito says leaving WWE made him better:

"I think I've had time to really think about things. I enjoy the slowed-down pace. What I've learned is kinda like what I think the great athletes like basketball players and stuff what you start to learn as your physical abilities start to dissipate or whatever. You start to adjust to succeed otherwise. I feel like a much better wrestler just because of new ways that I have found to workaround situations and entertain people. It's like a total difference performance now than when I was younger when I was just worried about how high I could jump or what flip I could do."

Neville:

Matt Jackson says he recently spoke with Neville, and that he told him he was doing well.

And, honestly, not many women can they're there for the starting of a division. And this just isn't any division, let's be clear. This isn't just an independent. This is a TV program. This is a revolutionary program. How many women are going to be able to say that?"

Bret Hart honoured:

Bret Hart has been honoured by an indigenous tribe at a ceremony in Calgary.

Swagger recalls shooting on fellow Alum:

Jack Swagger says he and Cesaro had to take a sand-bagging Brodus Clay  to school on Raw...

"Oh yeah, absolutely. Sometimes the amateur wrestling doesn't send the right message. Like, if you squeeze someone down and put the clamps on and they're still like squirming a little bit, sometimes you just gotta use the old right hand to get them to calm down. You can ask Cesaro about this. I'm friends with Brodus Clay, but we were tagging with him on Raw one day and he just wasn't getting the message. And like, Cesaro was hitting him pretty hard and tagged me in, and I started hitting him hard and he still wasn't getting the message. So me and Tony just kind of looked at each other, and I mean, I hit him with everything I had and I'm pretty sure he went down.''

HIAC:

AJ Styles vs Samoa Joe is on for Hell In A Cell, a rematch for the WWE gold from SummerSlam.

Jericho confirms he is open to moving on from WWE:

"When someone says 'would you ever go to IMPACT? Would you ever go to Ring Of Honor? Would you ever go here there or wherever?' Yeah sure, why not? If its creatively satisfying, if it's something that I can really sink my teeth into, something that I can really enjoy, then why wouldn't I give it a try? At this point, I've done everything I could ever do in wrestling. I have a loyalty to WWE but not a death wish with them or anything like that where by hook or by crook I have to be with the WWE. I think part of the fun of what's going on right now in the business is there's a real resurgence with independent wrestling and independent companies and it really gives the WWE a real kick in the ass when people go other places. You have guys like Kenny and the Young Bucks and Cody, people that are walking away and choosing not to sign with WWE which was never an option five or ten years ago. It was all about working with the WWE and signing with the WWE now its like, 'You know what? The WWE is there but once you have the chance to go somewhere else and do some work elsewhere, that kind of takes your career and your life in a different direction.'"

"Then what happened is I went to Minnesota for three years and I really honed my craft. He could coach me, 'now you gotta start shaking and if somebody hits you with a lead pipe in the head you act like it doesn't hurt you. When they dropkick you, you don't go down... when they hit you with four dropkicks you just wobble.'"

King takes campaign for truth to TV:

Cody talks why WWE return is unlikely:

"Somebody asked me the other day, 'would you go back?' And the answer has pretty much definitely become, 'I don't think so. Not because I don't like WWE or WrestleMania or I don't like money or I don't like the big production. Because I am literally now incapable of taking direction. If you told me you're gonna write something for me -- no. If you told me you're gonna produce something -- no. If you have me a time and a finish -- cool. But even that I'm literally -- I don't want to discourage because you've got Arn Anderson you've got Mike Rotunda -- you've got these guys in WWE] -- out of respect for sure. But, out of respect for myself, it's my song that I go out there to play."

Young Bucks echoed his feelings during the same interview...

"That would be so hard for me and Nick because we're DIY. Like from the ground up we've made every decision on our own. We've built ourselves up to this empire now on our own. So it would be like, 'how can I hand over the keys to this car to someone at this point?' Like I'd feel so afraid."

ADR talks AAA snub:

Alberto Del Rio has revealed why he refused to work TripleMania...

"I don't like how they are doing things in the business. We continue to see promoters take advantage of the talent. Thank God I am in the position where' I am able to say, 'OK you can do this, but you won't do this to me'. It happened with Triple A."

Rumble SPOILERS!!!:

The Rock is odds on favourite to win the Royal Rumble next year, then go on to challenge Roman Reigns at WrestleMania.

KO backs WWE over indies:

"I absolutely don't think it's a threat. I think it's great for everybody involved and WWE thrives on competition. It did for a long time. I think healthy competition is great and I think WWE would agree. But WWE will always try to go out and be better than everybody else and I think that's why they got to the point where they're at, you know? They want to be bigger and they want to do things other companies can't and they're never gonna change that way. The fact that all these companies are thriving is great for everybody involved. Whether it's wrestlers who are up and coming and trying to make a career or even wrestler that might eventually leave WWE, it gives them a place to go to..Look, the wrestling world is changing and it's very exciting to see. But I think it would be silly to look at these companies thriving and not feel like WWE is a big part of them thriving as well. You know what I mean? Even Ring Of Honor selling out Madison Square Garden is fantastic, it's unbelievable... but they're selling it out on WrestleMania weekend, you know what I mean? So I feel people should still be grateful to WWE and I know some people that's not the cool thing to admit that WWE might not be this giant thing trying to hurt the indies. "

22/8/201

Jeff Hardy sets timetable for retirement:

"The WWE, this schedule is tough. But you gotta be tough to survive here. But around 2020 hopefully we can do a limited schedule something with not as much wrestling where we do heal up. That was the great thing about TNA and doing the indies, man. We would do TV tapings and be off for like a month and then do our indies whenever we wanted to. It was fun, but here it ain't no joke man. You gotta be ready to go because they don't slow down."

Cody wants Ryder to go indie:

''Zack. I know he doesn’t fit the indie model exactly, but at one point that dude was getting his name chanted...in msg...while the great one was in the ring, I think he works too hard to be just a super jacked dude in the background.''

HBK talks ring return:

"The getting ready for WrestleMania is 100% work and I don't know whether I want to put myself or my family through to do it again and steal the show at 53 for God's sake. Now it's a whole different ball of wax is someone says, 'do you wanna go down and work with some other 40 plus-year-old guys or 50 or whatever and mess around and be silly. You know what I mean? That doesn't seem like work to me. Something like that I would consider but nobody ever talks about that. It's always me and somebody half my age."

Jericho says Vince wanted to help Cody's indie show:

His contract is up in March, which I'm not sure many people are aware of. But there's sort of a decision to be made at this point as to whether or not he should continue his in-ring career or if he should pursue something different, which he would totally be up for and would be excited to do, I feel like. So, he's kind of giving it a go right now backstage. He's at SummerSlam. He's not on the card but he's there. And we're kind of going to see from here. It's really a transitional time right now."

"I told him, after he smashed his head on the ring apron. People were predicting he's gonna be the next Dynamite Kid. Stop doing stupid moves that don't mean anything."

''I don't know if I can tell that or not. Because some people were upset backstage -- not John Cena, but someone. They were so pissed off at me, 'why did you do that?!' But everybody came to support me, even John Cena, 'it's not his fault, it's my fault' What a good man. So not everybody has a chance to wrestle with John Cena now. So I felt good in the ring with John Cena. I never was the villain in the ring, so if I had the chance I want to wrestle against him again. Maybe we can create something better than before, yeah."
