Ziggler shoots on Orton:

Dolph Ziggler's outspoken attacks on fellow stars continues, this time new WWE Champ Randy Orton is the victim...

"If you've been familiar with WWE for the last 10 years or so, you would understand without Triple H coming up front and coming out and saying this is our hand picked guy, he's the face, no matter what we're behind him. If you've been watching the last 10 years or so, you'd already know that they made up their mind about him long time ago. No matter what he does, good or bad, they're behind him and they'll go out of their way to cut peoples legs from underneath them to make sure Randy comes out looking great. So, the fact that it's now out in the open, and I'm allowed to comment on it, it actually makes me sick. I'm really happy from Randy, he's awesome, he's so good at this. It makes me mad how good he is. But the opportunities that he gets over and over again makes that chip on my shoulder feel that much bigger to me. I wanna go out there and prove that they're wrong, prove [to] Triple H that he backed the wrong guy for the last 10 years, and no matter what, I'm going to come out on top, one way or the other."

Million Dollar Man congratulates Son:

Ted DiBiase Sr. has commended his Son for making the brave decision to quit WWE for the good of his family life, comparing his own status and the negative effect his in ring career had on his personal life...

"As many of you know, my son, Ted Jr. has decided not to re-sign with the WWE. His decision is not based on dissatisfaction with the WWE, but a decision based on not wanting to spend so much of his life away from his family. I applaud that decision. As much as I loved the wrestling business, being away from my family and the temptations that come along with it, nearly destroyed me and my family. I never wanted my sons to be in the business for that very reason. But I knew that I had to let them find out for themselves. The birth of Ted's first son, did just that. Yes, I still love wrestling and so does Ted Jr. But, 'Everything has a price!' My son learned more quickly than I did, that the price of fame is often far greater than the rewards!!"

He also revealed a personal conversation he had with Ted Jr....

"I'm not really sure where my son is too right now, in terms of, he had an injury and while he was injured he was off during the last couple months of his wife's pregnancy and during the first couple month's of his son's life," Dibiase said. "I remember when he was getting ready to go back on the road he called me and he said, 'dad, he said I just want you to know, I get it now. Now I know why you didn't want me to do this.' He said it's really hard to leave this little boy. I said, 'well, I tried to tell ya, but some things you just have to learn that way.''

WWE today confirmed that Ted Jr. will officially leave WWE on September 1 and wished him well.

Santino Marella:

On the verge on his WWE return, Santino has discussed the injury that has cost him most of 2013...

"My neck was bad in March; I had a procedure done called a facet rhizotomy, where they do these injections, and there's a little axillary nerve that comes off. I basically had several things wrong with my neck; bulging discs, herniated discs, stenosis, degenerating discs, but the one thing that was bugging me at the time was arthritis. Out of all that, arthritis doesn't even sound cool. My neck has been fine basically since that procedure, and I did the whole European tour in April and it didn't hurt at all. But then when I renegotiated my contract a year ago, I wanted a little bit of time off just to heal my entire body, spend a little time with my family and live a little bit of life. When you're successful and you're doing well, you're really five days a week, six days a week. Sometimes you won't be home for two or three weeks. I missed a lot of things; I missed a lot of birthdays and baptisms and weddings, and all that kind of stuff. I just wanted to be home a little bit. I tell my friends, 'You know what's better than being Santino Marella around the world? Being Anthony Carelli in Mississauga.'"

To which Austin added, "A write-off becomes a loss."

Million Dollar Man talks Andre making a wrestler quit WWE:

''I mean, Andre was a wonderful guy, and I'm going to tell you, Andre was, in my opinion, a very good judge of character. If you were a schmuck, he was going to let you know you were a schmuck. It's true. He either liked you or he didn't like you. There wasn't too many people that disagreed with his opinion. Way in back in like 1979, when I was there working for Vince Sr., I had a tag team match one night. It was me and Andre and Ivan Putski against the Valiant brothers. Andre did not like Putski, at all. Andre told me, 'you tag me, no one else.' 'You bet, boss. Whatever you say.' He made sure I did that. It's like, I would start going to the corner. I was the young guy on the totem pole. I was the one that got beat on. So I'd be reaching to tag and he would just reach way out over past Putski, he made Putski basically stand on the apron the entire match. Putski was not really one of those guys that a lot of people liked. The night that Randy [Savage] and I had the cage match in Madison Square Garden, just prior to our match Andre worked with Bam Bam Bigelow. That's the night Bigelow walked in the dressing room and threw all his stuff together, grabbed his bag and walked out the back door and quit. He came back later, because I actually managed him for a while, and he told me, he said you know what? That's the best thing that ever happened to me. He said, because Andre was right. He said I had a horrible attitude. Andre suggested a new attitude.''

Bully Ray interview:

On TNA vs WWE...

"Because there are only two major wrestling companies in the United States, so of course the public's perception is that we're in competition with each other. But I don't know how you can really, truly compete with a gigantic mega machine like the WWE when TNA's been around for 11 years. And in 11 years they're very, very successful and they're growing leaps and bounds and there's a tremendous amount of light at the end of the tunnel. But you can't compete. That's like, you know, an up and coming company's little bank trying to compete with Chase Manhattan or whatever. I like to look at it as two separate companies and two separate brands of entertainment that wrestling fans can thoroughly enjoy."

On Sting to WWE...

"You have to make the smartest business decisions for yourself, for your family and for your career. And if Sting thinks that he has accomplished everything that he possibly could in TNA and he wants to go do that, more power to him."

On D'Von Dudley...

"As of right now, Devon is unfortunately not with TNA Wrestling. Here's the thing about Devon being gone, in my eyes it's a temporary thing."

He also admitted he never wanted to be a singles wrestler.

Million Dollar Man interview:

On nixed WWF title run and creation of his own belt...

''I believe it was a conversation I had with again, Pat Patterson, and he said to me, he said let me ask you a question. What would put greater heat on you? If we go and at Wrestlemania have the tournament and in any underhanded way you win the title. It's kind of like, that's been done. He said or, you don't win the title and as a result of not winning the title and getting your way, you create your own title. Basically you just turn your nose at the World Championship and say you know what, I don't need that belt. I'm creating my own championship belt. Here it is and parade around with this thing. It's like you have your own championship match every night. You're declaring yourself the Million Dollar Champion and I said that's the ticket. That will just make people boil. And so that's what we did.''

On heat with Honky Tonk Man over the nixed title run...

''God, no. That's the thing is, people have said this about me, that I could have been even higher up the food chain if instead of always wanting to do what was best for me, I always wanted to do what was best for business, if that makes sense.''

On working with Randy Savage...

''It was great. Randy and I had, we had great matches and I think one of the best cage matches I ever had was the cage match with him at Madison Square Garden. It was the one. People got so excited that actually one of the times Virgil tried to climb up on the outside of the cage. A fan jumped the barricade and tried to climb up the cage too to try and get him down. It was pretty hot. And Randy was a pleasure to work with.''

Maybe I wasn't in a good mood or something like that, and then it finally got to the point where he said, I'm not the [British] Bulldogs.' And he threatened me in front of everybody, and I had just come out of a [real life] feud with the Bulldogs. So I backed down, I turned around and left. So he thought he won the battle. The next day I thought I had to save face, so as soon as he walked into the arena, I told him in front of Marty Jannetty, and my brother Raymond was standing on the side, I said, 'I wanna talk to you in the room.' So he looked at me and said, 'Oh yeah?' I said, 'Don't worry, I just want to talk to you in the room.' So he walked in the room and I came up to his face and I said, 'Shawn, the next time you talk to me like you did like that, I'm going to punch your teeth out. You hear me?' And he's like putting his face down. He did the job that night."

Today's News

Real men cry:

Knux (Formerly Mike Knox) has revealed he cried ''A lot'' after D'Von Dudley left TNA recently.

Ted DiBiase Jr.:

Mixed reaction from fellow workers upon hearing the news of Ted DiBiase's resignation from WWE yesterday, many in WWE took the news with a shrug of the shoulders, as if the news was expected, He has apparently been very open about his feelings with friends on the roster. He has been widely praised for his abilities by former stars, and WWE have received some criticism for allowing this to happen, including his Father the legendary Million Dollar Man, who admitted to frustrations at WWE's recent handling of his Son.

Interestingly though some have called the move a tactical gamble, saying his annoyance at being at the very bottom of the WWE pecking order, and his inability (Or his critics may say lack of desire) to get back to his previous status on the card had led him to take a calculated risk. They theorised that by quitting He would force WWE to pay attention to him, and He would find out how much WWE wanted to keep him around, He also hopes to gain the respect of WWE officials by taking this bold step.

Personally I can understand his decision, (And He is not the first Tyler Reks quit citing very similar reasons last year), to be on the road 280 days a year and travelling the country and the world just to be jerking the curtain in dark, or at best Superstars matches, whilst their newly born child is growing and developing without them must be a really horrible feeling, dream turning into a nightmare.

Raw notes:

Rosa Mendes returned as The Miz's valet for a Tag match, She had been off TV since her bad behaviour on the European tour earlier this Summer.

Alberto Del Rio vs Rob Van Dam for the World Title was confirmed for Night Of Champions.

CM Punk vs Curtis Axel and Paul Heyman was also added to the PPV card.

Jerry Lawler to mark anniversary:

September 10th will be the one year anniversary of the heart attack that almost cost Jerry Lawler his life, he plans to mark the date by wrestling Austin Idol in Mississippi.

Maria vs The Bella's continues:

In a ridiculous tweet by The Bella's after AJ Lee's promo on Raw yesterday, where they criticized her for using top male wrestlers to get to where She is, (Erm, hello who are you both dating???) former Diva Maria Kanellis responded with another dig at the twins, again bringing up The Bella's costing Her and some of her fellow female Alumni a WrestleMania return earlier this year...

"@Nicoleandbri really on your own? You 2 are the "fluffers" of the locker room. And you held back 3 other girls from getting contracts... learn a little bit about professionalism. The universe will take care of you. God Bless."

Hall Of Famer Mick Foley took to his Facebook to defend the Bella's.

WWE 2K 14:

This years WWE video game has been rated ''T'' for teen audiences and older.

Jim Ross:

Jim Ross started his speaking tour of the UK last night in Manchester.

CM Punk on HOF:

"Ultimate Warrior. Better be hall of fame bound. Savage too. All them Poffos."

WWE signings, or lack thereof:

The Brisco's are said to be looking for a return to ROH after growing frustrated by WWE's lack of movement in signing them to a contract.

Also on potential newcomers, a WWE insider has stated that WWE are not interested in signing any TNA stars, feeling the talent in their own developmental group are as good as or better than any star on the TNA roster.

They are interested in Prince Devitt after He was recommended by William Regal.

Hulk Hogan:

More on the heat on Hogan with TNA, they are not only unhappy about the WWE games appearance, they are also angry about him taking on personal appearances and media commitments independent of the promotion. There is currently a lot of debate within TNA as to whether or not Hogan is worth the money they are paying him, and chances of his leaving the promotion as a cost cutting measure are said to be increasing.

Eric Bischoff has slammed the rumours, and has claimed Hogan did no deal with the game makers, and that they are repackaging old footage to include Hogan...

"Interesting to read the 'choir of idiots' suggesting that Hulk did a deal with 2K Sports. Illustrates just how ignorant these 'experts' are And how these 'experts' are attempting to frame a narrative to sell thier b.s. There is no Hulk Hogan/2K Sports deal. WWE is simply utilizing tradmarks/assets they currently own in a repackaged video game. Nothing new. But thats not what the parasites and morons who run dirt sites want you to know."

Also on Hogan, He says He is open to wrestling Tag Team matches, but singles bouts are out of the question.

QUESTION OF THE DAY...

Are there any TNA stars you think deserve a chance at WWE level???

On HOF induction...

"I don't know. To me, does it mean that I've accomplished greater things in wrestling? Absolutely not. Is it something that before I die, I have to strike off my bucket list? Absolutely not. If it was offered to me, I'd seriously consider it. But is it something that I'm longing for, and my life is not complete without it? I love Pete Rose to death, and Pete Rose is in the Hall of Fame. He didn't put asses in seats like I did. Maybe on the baseball field. So the answer's no."

What does Nikki Bella see in John Cena?:

Well, She told her Sister Brie in footage shot for Total Diva's that She gets turned on seeing him working half naked, and that She likes to bite his butt... Classy

She has also started her Rehab from injury, however no timetable for her return is yet in place.

TNA Knockout to WWE?:

So Cal Val who was released from TNA on Thursday was at the NXT Taping's the same night. Moving on quickly it seems.

TNA now have less than 50 rostered stars, D'Von Dudley has also been removed from the active roster, and will move into a backstage role, thought to be that vacated by D'Lo Brown.

Victoria:

WWE Alum Victoria, formerly Tara in TNA has announced She will never go back to the company after the way they released her, She also hinted that retirement is on her mind, but says She will fulfill her Indy dates before making her final decision...

"It was a surprise to me. I went to TNA because I wanted to work with some of the great female wrestlers that I hadn't faced like Kong, ODB, and Sarita. TNA has definitely shifted their focus as far as the women's division. It was really my love of wrestling that kept me going. I didn't think it was the right fit for me anymore. My contract was up in a month or two. They knew I wasn't going to re-sign. First, they had the travel guy call me and tell me I was released. Then Dixie called me later that day and said that it was a financial thing, and they knew I was ready to jump ship anyway. I think the classy thing to do would have been to give me the opportunity to quit rather than getting released. But at the end of the day, everyone got what they wanted."

Hall Of Famer slimming:

Dusty Rhodes has dropped to 285 lbs from 324 lbs, and plans to lose more.

Conflict in WWE over Cena:

John Cena has set his goal of returning to WWE in time for WrestleMania 30, however WWE want to recreate the 2008 Royal Rumble moment, by having him come back as a surprise entrant in the over the top rope match, Cena's Doctors say that is ''Pushing it''.

TNA:

Here is the ad for the next One Night Only show, this time featuring the Women...

Steve Austin responds to heat over... ''WHAT!!!'':

He says wrestlers constantly complain to him about the negative affect his catchphrase has had on the business...

"The fact that my presence is still felt, or my influence is still felt, it's an honor and a privilege... Everybody always says 'What?!' ruins everybody else's promos. It does not! If you leave that gap in between your sentences, your words, your phrasing... don't interrupt your cadence and give them that end for the 'What?!' If you just keep talking, just like I'm doing, I don't give you a chance to say it."

John Cena:

John Cena says he has set a goal to be back fit and healthy in time for WrestleMania, adding that 6 months is now the official time frame for his return, it was estimated at 4 - 6 months before his surgery.

TNA release:

The latest star dropped by TNA is So Cal Val, ending a nine year run with the promotion.

Goldberg to WWE:

WWE are officially looking to bring Goldberg back for one more match, vs Ryback at WrestleMania 30. Goldberg says talks are not currently ongoing, but his anti - WWE stance is lessening, due to his Son wanting him to have one more run, and he is also going to be heavily featured by WWE this year with a DVD collection and a spot on the new video game. The real world dislike of Ryback's gimmick by Goldberg, and the frustration Ryback has at constantly being compared to the former WCW star means the feud will pretty much write itself, if the deal can be done.

Ric Flair responds to WWE heat:

Speaking on Steve Austin's podcast show Ric Flair has responded to the anger WWE have about his behaviour at the WWE event held the night before SummerSlam, Austin also attended that event...

"They just told me to entertain them, and I did. Apparently it wasn't received the way it was supposed to be. The people running the game loved it. The problem is that corporate WWE is mad at me, which upsets me because I love the company and respect them so much. I guess we just drifted, and I told stories because they wanted the focus of the evening to be on the game. Everybody at the game was happy with it. I had appeared for them in the afternoon, I did a great deal for them and that came off wonderfully. I don't know… I'm dumbfounded by this."

He has now caused an indy show to be cancelled, deciding to cancel an appearance to go to a higher paying event, meaning the promoter can not now afford to host the show, due to loss of ticket sales and refunds.

The meeting has happened:

Over the SummerSlam weekend, whilst WWE were hosting their Axxess event CEO Vince McMahon went to meet with a former star who was also in town on WWE business, He was promoting his spot on the game. That man was the Ultimate Warrior

No word has come out officially about what was discussed, or how the discussions went. I will let you know when it does.

AJ Styles:

TNA officials say they would like to keep AJ Styles around, and that talks are ongoing, but, added that they would only keep him if it made sense financially, hinting that AJ is asking for more money than they are prepared to offer. There is a very real possibility that AJ is on his way.

He is not the only one either, Mr. Anderson is closer to his expiry date than AJ is, and talks are not going well. The official says it is coming down to the wire in his case.

TNA are changing the way they recruit talent, they plan on hiring only young stars, and are sending out scouts to find undiscovered youngsters to freshen up their decimated roster.

SummerSlam backstage notes:

Ryback's bullying angle is to lead to a face turn and top level push, (Another strong hint to Goldberg's return, he wants to be heel when he comes back).

The match result in the CM Punk vs Brock match was changed at the start of last week, because Lesnar wants to face Taker at Mania, and if they can get Taker to agree to the match, they would want Lesnar to look as strong as possible, the feeling is he loses too often, so they gave him this one.

John Cena wrestled in the main event against doctor's wishes, he was told not to compete, but demanded to be given the chance to put Daniel Bryan over before he left.

QUESTION OF THE DAY...

Would you like to see the Ultimate Warrior back on WWE TV???.
