10/1/2018

Royal Rumble:

Uso's vs Shelton & Gable for the blue tag straps, in a 2 out of 3 falls match is official. Becky Lynch took a spot in the rumble match for women, Rusev and Aiden English did the same for men.

Raw 25:

Yet more legends have been confirmed for Raw's 25th birthday. The list has grown to this... John Cena, Brock Lesnar, The Undertaker, Jim Ross, Jerry Lawler, Kevin Nash,  Scott Hall, Ric Flair, The Bella Twins, JBL, Ron Simmons, The Dudley Boyz, Steve Austin, DX (Shawn Michaels, Triple H and The New Age Outlaws). X-Pac, Million Dollar Man, Teddy Long, The Godfather, Brother Love, The Boogeyman, Sgt. Slaughter, John Laurinaitis and Eric Bischoff.

Imitation not flattering:

Alexa Bliss has thrown shade at Liv Morgan for copying her hairstyle on TV this week. Liv responded by mocking Nia's interest in her ex, Enzo Amore.

Backstage legend:

Undertaker was backstage at SmackDown last night.

Swann could be gone:

HHH and Stephanie McMahon have addressed Rich Swann's status...

HHH...

"We are just waiting on legal. We have a zero tolerance policy on that, as you've seen, so he's suspended until it is determined legally one way or the other."

SM...

"And if he's convicted, he will be released."

HHH...

"Immediately."

Woo Woo Woo:

Zack Ryder celebrated 11 years as a WWE star last night at SD.

WWE TV:

WWE have extended their deal in Malaysia.

No special treatment:

With the tensions between Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon growing on the blue show speculation has risen about a potential match coming down the road (Mania). Don't believe the hype. HHH says D-Bry will not be given any exemptions from their medical team...

"There can be no exception medically. If the belief is that he's not healthy enough and there's a risk to perform, then I don't know why you'd allow him to step into the ring unless it can be proven otherwise. There will be no exceptions. We have some of the best medical people in the world that work for us. Our wellness policy, our concussion programming, our protocols — I'll put them up there against any on the planet. That is a new science in a way, too. So we're gonna look at it from all aspects, but the medical experts will make the determination as to whether he can ever step into that ring or not. Look, personally for him, I know it would be something he would love to do, and part of me feels like I hope he has that opportunity. But at the same point in time, he's married and has a child. Certainly, we put the human being first."

There was some online criticism of this weeks storyline between Bryan and Shane. Some felt Shane used Bryan's real life mental health battle as a stick to beat him with by calling him ''Unstable''.

Mixed Match:

WWE have confirmed the teams for the Facebook live show...

Raw...

  • Bayley & Elias
  • Alicia Fox & Goldust
  • Asuka & The Miz
  • Nia Jax & Apollo Crews
  • Sasha Banks & Finn Balor

Jericho to stay with NJPW:

"I need to keep the ball rolling, I don't know, once again, the Naito thing is pretty interesting thing to me, and don't over-saturate. Don't join the G1 Climax and be just another guy. I really want to do the Brock Lesnar deal with NJPW, if it works out. Pick my spots and come and go to where you're like, 'This guy's barely there, yet, when he's there it makes an impact.' And that might have to be the incentive, I just have to reevaluate and see what I want to do next wrestling wise."

Deal done:

Matt Hardy has come to deal over the ownership of his broken gimmick with the owners of Impact. This now allows WWE to create merchandise for his new persona, and for his entourage from Impact to reprise their roles with WWE.

He met with Ed Nordholm personally to thrash out the final agreement.

6 sides gone:

Impact have reverted to a traditional ring for this weeks taping block.

Biggest indie event:

Cody Rhodes ambition to host a 10,000 sell out show will have a chance to come true on September 1, somewhere in the Chicago area. He already has Stephen Amell booked for the show, along with the Bullet Club.

Big dinner date:

HHH was spotted leaving a restaurant with Ronda Rousey last night. It is speculated that they were finalising a deal for her appearance at the Royal Rumble.

WWE to sign indie promoter:

Gabe Sapolsky has impressed HHH since they started working with his WWN group of promotions, and they want him to help grow NXT.
