New promotion:

Jeff Jarrett is set to announce the formation of a new promotion later this week. Pairing up with Toby Keith, who had previously been in talks for a takeover of TNA, and interestingly WWE Hall Of Famer Jim Ross, who met with Mr. Keith last week, is also strongly rumoured to be involved. JR said he had a meeting with a major sports concern as well as a meeting with Keith, it is rumoured the meetings, were actually a meeting, and the time he spent with Toby Keith was to discuss this. When asked if he was involved on Twitter, JR merely replied... ''Hmmm''.

He later updated his blog and poured cold water on any personal involvement on his part...

''FYI...I have not had any conversations with anyone about starting a 'new' pro wrestling promotion. I have not spoken to Jeff Jarrett since he left WWE on a day that doesn't rank too high on my list of fun days at work. Some websites are irresponsibly running with the story that just because Toby Keith and I are friends and fellow Okies who both follow the Sooners that I'm about to do business with Toby and Jeff Jarrett which isn't true. Toby and I had dinner at the Sugar Bowl, he's a wrestling fan from the old days and, a helluva entrepreneur with deep pockets. Nonetheless the reason that we were there was to support our Sooners vs. Alabama in the Sugar Bowl and not talk about pro wrestling.''

Jarrett has told friends in the business to prepare for a shock.

Raw:

Sgt. Slaughter, The Godfather, Mick Foley, Grand Master Sexay and Faarooq have all been added to the line up for tonight's oldschool Raw, although Foley may not appear on screen because he will be on SmackDown tomorrow.

Booker T has asked for a match on the show.

Too Cool will have a full reunion.
