Today's News

It's WrestleMania Week...

To mark the run in to the big show in I am going to reveal my top 10 Mania matches, and why I enjoyed them, see if you agree.

7 - Rowdy Roddy Piper vs Bret Hitman Hart (WrestleMania  for the Intercontinental Championship.

I loved this match, the great friends better enemies undertone, the fact Bret was wronged when he lost his IC Belt, and wanting redemption, Piper having his first title run with WWE, and desperately wanting to keep the run going, and ultimately the passing of the torch, from Piper to Bret, two great workers, not only putting on a top quality match, but telling a great story as they did so, Man... I miss the old days...

Ex TNA man re-signs:

Petey Williams announced following an Indy event this past weekend that fans would be seeing more of him on TV, the fans started chanting TNA, TNA, TNA to which he smiled and nodded his head in agreement. It seems he impressed during his recent appearances at the One Night Only Taping's.

Honky Tonk Man:

The Honky Tonk Man has been as controversial as ever, Questioning the Jerry Lawler heart attack...

"I am absolutely positive the heart attack was legitimate. My only statement on it is: was it maybe sensationalized a little bit? I am not sure."

On His recent return...

"Very exciting and fun to do, I am glad they called me back. It had been nearly 3 years since I did anything with [WWE}. They treated me so nice, not just the front office, but also the wrestlers and everyone involved."

On Mania...

"I don't like to be a part of those WrestleMania weekends unless I am part of it with the WWE."

He also took a swipe at TNA...

"If WWE went out of business tomorrow, TNA would still be the #2 company."

Hulk Hogan shoots on Triple H:

Interviewed by WrestleTalk TV...

Hulk Hogan believes the future of wrestling is in good hands when Triple H takes the reigns at WWE, but added that he does not think Vince McMahon will ever truly step aside...

"I had a great conversation with him [Triple H] a long time ago in New York and he seems to be dialed in," Hogan said. "He's not Triple H the wrestler, he's Triple H who's kinda stepped back and he's got a real good feel for the big picture. Vince will always be around, but I just think [that] they're a cohesive team. They won't miss a beat, and if you call them at 5 in the morning or 2 in the morning, they're the type of people that ... the business is 24 hours a day for them. I think they'll be a strong force to be reckoned with for quite a long time."

JR Milestone:

Jim Ross is celebrating the 20th anniversary of his WrestleMania debut this weekend (9 in 1993).

Today is also the 23rd anniversary of the IMO greatest WrestleMania... 6 in 1990... Remember this...

Trish Stratus:

Trish Stratus has confirmed her HOF inductor to WWE, but will not announce it to the Media, when asked if it was going to be, (as expected) Lita, she said that would be great, but the person she had in mind had greatly impacted her career, and when they saw who, fans would know why She made the choice.

WWE have released an interesting note Re Trish's induction, she will be the first star to debut in the year 2000 or later to enter the HOF.

Also on HOF, I have been hearing rumours that WWE plan on having a surprise induction on the night, if this is the case, there is only 3 possible options for me...

The Rock - But he is staying for another year, so why would they do it now???

Vince McMahon - HHH is in charge of HOF this year, maybe he wants to send Vince a message, Thanks Vince, now go away and let me be boss...???

The Undertaker - If rumours are true, and Taker is retiring next year then WWE are planning to build WrestleMania around him, potentially including HOF induction the night before, so why would they do it a year early???

Unless they are inducting a deceased wrestler, who would obviously not need to be in attendance.

Have Lunch with Triple H:

Scott Hall:

Raw:

The final Raw tease before Mania...

* Will John Cena be looking for retribution on The Rock for last week?

* Has CM Punk gotten inside Undertaker's head?

* Will sparks fly between Triple H and Brock Lesnar?

* Who does the WWE Universe want as its World Heavyweight Champion?

* Can The Shield be stopped?

WWE not happy with top stars:

WWE are very disappointed with the matches between Ryback and Mark Henry from this past weekend, and are concerned about the quality of the match at this Sunday's event, Something may have to be done creatively to disguise the problems, should they arise.
