Today's News

It's WrestleMania Week...

To mark the run in to the big show in I am going to reveal my top 10 Mania matches, and why I enjoyed them, see if you agree.

6 - Superfly Jimmy Snuka vs The Undertaker (WrestleMania 7).

Well this is where it all began for the dead man, Victim Number 1.

I loved his introduction to WWE, and thought he could become the top star, especially after he dropped Brother Love in favour of Paul Bearer. To prove himself in His first WrestleMania he needed to beat an established SuperStar, Superfly Jimmy Snuka stepped forward and made him look the untouchable, unbeatable monster WWE wanted him to be, This match was only bettered on the undercard by 1 match for me, and was a major stepping stone to the WWE Championship reign (Although very brief) The Undertaker earned later in that year.

It was a classic tale of a ring general putting over the new guy, and making him look awesome in the process, probably what you will see at this years Mania with Chris Jericho jobbing for Fandango.

Big Show banned from chokeslams:

WWE's legal team have warned Big Show not to simulate his move the choke slam on fans, for fear of legal action if someone is hurt or upset by the move...

"WWE Superstars aren't allowed to grab anyone by the neck, simulate choke holds, or picking up, I've gotten enough letters from our legal department, I don't pick anybody up anymore or fake chokeslam."

Ricky Steamboat leaves NXT:

WWE Hall Of Famer The Dragon has left the WWE Developmental roster, and will work in a new role within WWE.

Rey Mysterio:

Last night Rey Mysterio attended Raw for a meeting with WWE medical Staff, no word on what came from the discussions.

Sin Cara, who was also there for medical tests, has now been cleared to compete.

Mania match pulled:

WWE have announced that the Intercontinental Championship match between Wade Barrett and The Miz will happen on the YouTube pre show events, not the full card as was originally planned.

Reid Flair:

TMZ have reported that Reid Flair was found by his Father Ric Flair, who then made an emergency call to the police.

The police report into Reid's death notes that he was incapacitated by drugs, but the official cause of death is still to be determined.

Michael Moody says WWE did come to them with the idea for this weeks Raw, but hinted that seeing what they did on TV was uncomfortable for them.

"If anyone is wondering, yes WWE did come to us wanting approval for tonight's storyline. The way it was presented to us was ok. Seeing it on screen was a different story. I don't even know what to say."

His Brother Daniel commented that what happened on TV was...

"Totally different."
