Today's News

Indy stadium event:

NorthEast Wrestling will host a stadium event in New York on September 22, names announced to appear include Hulk Hogan, Roddy Piper, Jerry Lawler, Matt Hardy, Lita, Rosita, Goldust, Vader, Jim Duggan, Velvet Sky, Angelina Love, Sami Callihan and others.

Randy Orton:

Will be off TV again before September 26, that is the date his new movie 12 Rounds: Reloaded begins filming.

TNA talent problems:

Velvet Sky will not be returning to TNA, it seems, she is accepting indy dates and has not responded to Dixie Carter's plea for her to return.

It also seems TNA are resigned to losing The Dudley Boys, Bubba (Who has been dealing with the contract talks for both he and his long term partner D'Von) feels that TNA have been very disrespectful of them during the negotiations. TNA are openly stating how big a loss it would be for them to lose the iconic pairing, they planned on making Bubba a heel champion later this year, and he is also a backstage agent, and D'Von currently holds one of their straps. The first indication of them leaving will be if D'Von drops his TV title in the next couple of weeks.

No word on WWE interest in bringing them back.

Kevin Nash:

The wrestling world has gone nuts over the Nash interview (See yesterday), with many stars coming out critically of his opinions on Chris Benoit and Eddie Guerrero.

MVP...

“Kevin Nash is right. Smaller guys don’t draw. I mean who would pay any money to watch itty bitty guys like Mayweather or Paquiao?”

Rowdy Roddy Piper...

“I love all the real deal boys in biz. Fact, I’m one of the smallest. Fact I out drew almost everyone. Fact,Without ALL the boys, I’m nothing.”

Jim Ross...

“Nash is a brilliant guy…love him or hate him. He’s a survivor and by any means necessary which at times doesn’t sit well with some people.”

Smith Hart...

“I can understand where Kevin Nash is coming from, but I wonder where Shawn Michaels and X-pac fit into his theory.”

Steve Blackman...

Kevin Nash has delusions that he was actually a big deal once. You got big because you were tall then you were booker.

Lance Storm...

Everyone flipping out over what Kevin Nash said are being worked. Nash says thing to get people talking, he is a very smart worker.

The Hurricane...

I don’t agree with him but he’s definitely EARNED his opinion.

Chavo Guerrero...

Lol! When has anyone ever listened to anything Nash has ever said?

Maria Kanellis vs Kelly Kelly:

JTG:

The low WrestleMania pay day was the reason for the JTG Twitter rant, mid carders only received a few thousand dollars. Other talent say he was frustrated and angry, but was not trying to get himself fired, people close to him disagree, saying that was exactly what he was doing.

Winter:

Another of TNA's women, who has not been used since April and is having to work the indy's, may be on her way out. TNA do allow talent to work independently, but not televised events. Winter though, has accepted a TV show for October 11, which will mean she will forfeit her contract, if she does the gig.

The women blame Bruce (Brother Love) Prichard for the demise of TNA's Women's division.
