Today's News

WWE 13:

The roster reveal for the new instalment of the WWE video game franchise will be today at SummerSlam Fan Axxess.

Lilian Garcia:

Has recalled how she got into the wrestling biz, saying she had never watched the sport growing up and had an audition set up by her agent, when offered the gig, she would only sign a 3 month contract. She however fell in love with the sport and agreed to increase her tenure to 1 year, she then laughed and said ''Here I am 13 years later''.

She was then asked why she had left for 3 years...

“I did not want to start a marriage with me traveling everywhere.”

TNA Issues:

The current TNA star now known as The Pope D'Angelo Dinero (Formerly Elijah Burke) has had to be written out of the stories after suffering a broken collarbone, hence the attack by Aces and 8's. This is causing TNA big problems as he has 3 matches remaining in the Bound For Glory series, which he now cannot fulfil. TNA are split on whether to remove his scores, and the scores others have earned against him, which could affect the leader board and spoil the story line, or to have someone else take over his spot and points and finish the series in his stead.

They are also debating whether or not to continue with the Claire Lynch story now that her true identity has been revealed online, she has not appeared since, but was referenced last week.

They may also get into trouble for gimmick infringement, the gutcheck contestant this week is calling himself Lani Kealoha, this is the same name used by the legendary Superfly Jimmy Snuka during his tag team days with Don Muraco.

Ex TNA star signs for WWE:

Alex Shelley is reported to have put pen to paper on a deal that will take him to WWE. This is not yet confirmed by either party, but like Matt Morgan and Ric Flair he won't be brought in until the TNA lawsuit goes away, which means he will be free to go on his tour with NJPW next month.

WWE have also signed Mercedes KV and Max Bauer, from Chaotic Wrestling in New England, they will move to Florida to start their WWE developmental career soon.

William Regal snub:

The long term WWE star has taken offence to the latest WWE.Com poll, listing the 50 greatest villains, he wrote...

“I’m usually immune to such things but I feel completely kicked in the teeth by whoever wrote that list that I’m not even on it. Perhaps I need to show @WWE what being a Villain truly means.”

JBL also commented negatively, more about others positions on the list, but did say of himself...

''I’m too biased to comment on myself, after all who else has had to have a police escort out of a town like I had in El Paso in 2004?. That is real heat-and has any heel had any heat like that, where folks were actually wanting to kill you since then''.

Ever wanted to see a porno Royal Rumble???:

Chyna's adult movie based on the Royal Rumble, and featuring ''Actors'' dressed as WWE stars past and present will be released early next month.

Chris Jericho:

Was hurt on Raw when The Miz threw him through the ropes, he has a red welt on his neck, he should be fine to have his last match vs Dolph Ziggler on Sunday.

Iron Sheik to humble Jinder Mahal:

He has told WWE.Com he is offended Jinder is using the Camel Clutch without asking for permission first.

Paul Heyman:

Has talked about his reluctance to return to WWE with Brock Lesnar, saying he wasn't sure WWE would know what to do with him, but he felt he could help further the character of Brock Lesnar, so did join later. He says he is working with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon fine, and that he felt they enjoyed having someone around to challenge them. He ended by saying he would consider working for other wrestling promotions, but only if he had the desire and creative freedom to do something with the group.

JR hosts interview:

The Hall Of Famer has done a sit down interview with current WWE Champion CM Punk and fellow Hall Of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin to promote WWE 13, he said the interview was “Respectfully combative, a classic.”

Maybe WrestleMania 29 will happen after all???.

WWE Classics:

Have dedicated the next month of their programming to the Macho Man Randy Savage.

Hall Of Fame 2013:

WWE have confirmed they will induct stars with links to the New York area, Mick Foley, Kevin Nash and Bob Backlund who were on the list leaked online earlier this week would fit that bill (Although Backlund did reject the Hall Of Fame in 2004). Triple H is said to have been given control over the events, from booking the arena to approaching the possible inductees.

Most interestingly WWE are said to be determined to induct Macho Man Randy Savage next year, but officials would not confirm or deny whether that meant the Poffo family would be enshrined too, or if they were going to induct Randy alone without the family's permission.

Dutch Mantell:

Has sadly lost his Grand - Daughter Amelia, in an auto wreck. RIP
