Today's News

Hacksaw Jim Duggan takes shot at WWE:

The WWE Hall Of Famer is promoting an appearance for Traditional Championship Wrestling, and in the interview took at shot at the WWE Attitude Era...

“I think the pendulum swung way off during the WWE era, I think wrestling should be family entertainment. We don’t need those obscene gestures. It’s for kids. I’ll be screaming ‘hooooo’ and ‘U-S-A’. I don’t think you need someone out there drinking beer and giving someone the bird.”

He then put TCW over...

“The name sums it up, Traditional Championship Wrestling. There are no obscene gestures. It’s the wrestling people grew up with. You cheer the good guys and you boo the bad guys. You come to a TCW event and you’ll have more fun than you’ll have at a movie. It reminds me of the old Mid-South [Wrestling].”

CM Punk out of PPV:

WWE.Com announced last night that CM Punk was undergoing what they described as ''Emergency surgery'', later confirming he had torn cartilage removed from his knee.

Vince McMahon via the WWE website has confirmed the WWE Champion will not be fit in time to compete at the TLC PPV on December 16, and that the main event will instead be...

Ryback, Kane and Daniel Bryan vs Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins.

Ric Flair bites back:

Through his lawyers, the double WWE Hall Of Famer...

“Denies the claims, contends there was marital and other misconduct on her part, and looks forward to the issues being resolved in court.”

This is following the news (see yesterday) that his 4th wife Jacqueline has filed for divorce.

This is not Ric Flair's only problem, it has emerged he owes $237,436 in unpaid taxes, and $41,358 to the North Carolina revenue.

Sunny denied:

Sunny has requested that her restraining order against her boyfriend (Indy star Damian Darling) be rescinded, because she wants to see him, the judge denied her request, citing the several cases of domestic abuse between the two.

John Cena sick:

CM Punk is not the only WWE star causing WWE headaches, John Cena worked this weekends, and last nights Raw, battling a ''Nasty illness''.

He is not booked to appear on tonight's TV's.

Stacy Keibler:

Stacy Keibler has closed the door on wrestling completely, she said in an interview...

“Everything is a stepping stone, It was a great chapter in my life. I spent eight years touring the world and I have wonderful memories. I love my fans. But I’ve moved on to other things.”

Raw scores near record low viewing figures:

This weeks Raw, was only beaten by the show on October 22 with a 2.49 rating, which is about 3.36 Million people.

As always the show starts with a high viewing figure, but fans start to turn away during hour 2, and tend not to return until the last match right at the end of hour 3.

SmackDown SPOILERS!!!:

* Big Show vs Daniel Bryan.

* Brodus Clay and The Uso's vs 3MB.

* Randy Orton vs Wade Barrett.

* Great Khali and Hornswagle vs Primo and Epico.

* US Title match announced for TLC - Antonio Cesaro vs R-Truth.

* Alberto Del Rio vs Sheamus.

Fans in attendance complained that during the show Big Show and Sheamus were made to promise there would be no physical contact between the two until TLC, only for the post taping dark match to be... You guessed it, Big Show vs Sheamus.

Great Khali:

Has joined Twitter.

New career for former WWE star:

Eden Stiles, has launched a new swimwear range, her boyfriend, current WWE man Cody Rhodes, says she is fully hands on, from the design, to sourcing materials.

WWE remove offending article:

WWE had an article on their website recalling the disastrous December to Dismember PPV from 2006, which drew the record lowest buy rate in WWE history, and cost Paul Heyman his WWE job, the article has been taken down, but Paul E. has been getting some grief on Twitter over it, and has today responded...

“I love how everyone wants to remind me that I left @WWE six years ago today. But here’s one better … …not about your reigning defending @WWE Champion @CMPunk’s rightful place front and center on pro wrestling’s Mt Rushmore … .. @WWE Dot Com had this “reporter” ask me questions about THE #ECW DECEMBER TO DISMEMBER PAY PER VIEW EVENT! I won’t spoil the fun, but for those of you looking for the latest “shoot promo,” check out the story. I’m sure @WWE won’t like it too much… and, bluntly, I don’t care if @WWE likes it or not. I stand by what I said, and meant every single solitary word! The story comes out this week. We now return you to our regularly scheduled decadence, debauchery, and hustlin’!”

CM Punk celebrates milestone:

Today is the 381st day of CM Punk's title reign, the longest reign in the past 25 years, beating John Cena's 380 day reign from 2005 - 2006.

Cena tweeted congratulations today...

“Injured or healthy, today @CMPunk is the longest reigning @WWE champ in modern era, it would be hypocritical not to acknowledge RESPECT!''

He also wished him a speedy recovery from his surgery.

Otunga defends WWE bullies:

Whilst taking part in a Be-A-Star event David Otunga was challenged on the hypocrisy of WWE promoting an anti - bullying campaign, yet doing the exact opposite on their programming, he replied...

“If you watch the storylines from beginning to end, yes, there are bullies, but the moral of it is that they never win.”

Antonio Cesaro's WWE future:

Backstage feeling in WWE is that no matter how dominant they make him look, it will take a long time for fans to acknowledge Cesaro as a top star, and throwing in some losses won't make much difference to his long term career.

Sounds like they are planning to take the US strap from him.

New additions:

The Shield, Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins have officially been added to the WWE active roster.

Also a new man has been added to NXT, Tom LaRuffa who will wrestle as Sylvester Lefort.
