Today's News

Mick Foley on HOF:

“I’m happy that the rumor I started has gotten this far. Yeah, I love the idea that people are talking about it. It is a big deal. If it were to happen at Madison Square Garden, it would be a bigger deal that if it happened anywhere else. It seems like a good idea, but I don’t call those shots. There are other guys that did better in that building than I did who should get the call as well. I would certainly accept it if it came my way, but I won’t be to bitterly disappointed if it doesn’t. I hope it does.”

Byron Saxton's WWE status confirmed:

Byron Saxton has had his active profile removed from the NXT website, but he is still employed by WWE, he has been moved into a backstage role, working with the creative team.

Tyler Reks vs John Cena:

WWE Alum Tyler Reks has his out at the WWE's poster boy John Cena, and revealed some of his bad behavior in the back, recalling one incident from shortly before he decided to quit, when Cena pulled him aside and told him off, as if her were a small child for using a certain move during a match...

“Anyone want to know what top guy forced me to stop using the burning hammer – even after it appeared on SD/RAW and PPV’s? … 1st house show loop, Cena asks pulls me aside, degrades me like I’m 10 years & tells me if I use it again I’d me fired. He yelled at me & said, ‘Who gave u permission to use that’? Apparently he hadn’t been watching the product 4 the last 8 months… Or perhaps how he stole our idea to get fired, use social media to get over, & run in from the crowd (Given to Miz & Truth)… I still have the promo DVD our idea was burned onto when Cena supposedly helped us with the idea – then lied & said it wasn’t stolen later.”

“People say I’m bitter now. No, I just think truth is in order. Don’t want people to be disillusioned like I was.”

“Anyone have a story about the world’s biggest baby? Oh, I do … Dude’s been on his bus for years, decides to come to the locker room & starts yelling at everyone to take their bags to their cars… All because a new WHC was putting on his boots on the floor. He ALWAYS puts his boots on on the floor.”

He was more positive about some of his other former co-workers, but did have another dig at Cena for holding another star down after an altercation between the two men...

“Edge, Christian, Jericho, Kane, Taker, Kofi, Truth – all good guys… Ziggler = stand up dude. Great guy. Talented. Good heart and works hard. @ZackRyder is a great dude. Innovated& determined to that last ounce. Wrestling is all he ever wanted to do. Great guy.”

“Swags? Good guy. Nothing bad to say. Love the dude. Riley? Great guy – talented. Would be over as all hell if a certain someone wasn’t holding him down… #YouKnowWho”

“Randy [Orton]‘s actually very cool. Got a lot of respect for him. Calm, mellow, helpful. I dig the guy. Keep cheerin him.”

Injury's:

Cody Rhodes is lifting weights, but will not be back before 2013 begins.

Hunico worked last nights WWE house shows, he was supposed to be out injured for 6-9 months with an injury, so maybe William Regal's on screen slip, hinting he was banned was true after all.

Ric Flair retires?:

Ric Flair has revealed WWE have changed their stance on older wrestlers getting in the ring following Jerry Lawler's heart scare, also hinting that his career as an active competitor maybe over...

''I want to be in the ring, but it will never happen again. I said I’d never wrestle in WWE… and then there’s the Jerry Lawler incident''.

Q...

So Lawler’s heart attack has changed the perception of older wrestlers continuing to perform?

''Yeah, it really did. I like Jerry very much. What happened to Jerry was terrible, and thank God he’s OK. But I wish people wouldn’t gauge me by what happened to him. Everybody’s an individual. But I think it kind of put a decision on my future in the ring, you know what I mean? And that’s fine, because I went back to the ring in TNA, and that will never happen again''.

Hall Of Fame building:

WWE are close to announcing they will open a physical museum to celebrate their Hall Of Fame. The building is expected to be in Orlando, Florida.

This removes another hurdle in their hopes to induct Bruno Sammartino, who has been very critical of the lack of a HOF museum.

25 people were on the list, Hogan was added because of his sex tape.

John Laurinaitis:

Despite rumours that Johnny Ace is done with WWE, he has surprised WWE staff and roster by turning up to tonight's Raw TV Taping.

Raw teaser:

* So The Shield attacked again Monday night, and for the third time in two weeks, they left Ryback lying in a heap while WWE Champion CM Punk basked in their assist in taking down his titanic foe. But with Ryback’s WWE Title Match at WWE TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs fast approaching, we find it hard to believe the beast will tolerate any further tampering with his chances to relieve Punk of the WWE Championship. It wasn’t so long ago that Ryback was yelling “Feed Me Three!”; might we see Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins & Roman Reigns step into the ring against him sooner rather than later?

* The Shield claims to be enforcers of justice in WWE, but we’re wondering their motivation in jumping Kane following The Big Red Machine’s RAWactive match against CM Punk last Monday night. Where was the miscarriage of justice that caused the lurking threesome to swarm the ring and attack an opponent completely unprovoked? And does the attack lend credence to the (previously denied) accusation that the trio is working for Punk and Paul Heyman? Frankly, we’re curious to hear what — if anything — Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns have to say for themselves.

* Team Hell No looked like they had finally put their squabbles away in the name of the greater good last Friday on SmackDown when they buried the hatchet to help Intercontinental Champion Kofi Kingston knock off Wade Barrett & The Prime Time Players in a Six-Man Tag Team Match. Coupled with Daniel Bryan’s bold attempt to rescue Kane from The Shield last Monday on Raw, it looks like the beautiful friendship between the bickersome bros is taking a turn for the best. We think.

* Well, that escalated quickly. Only two weeks ago, John Cena vehemently denied any and all allegations of inappropriate canoodling with AJ Lee while she was on the job as Raw General Manager. Fast forward to today, and the Cenation leader is snogging Miss Lee (who, by the way, is no longer Raw GM and free to date whoever she wants. It’s true. We checked) while fending off the ferocious sneak attacks of Dolph Ziggler all at the same time. That’s a mighty quick turnaround and we commend you, Cena, but now comes the potential fallout: Cena’s relationships tend to bring ruin on all involved, and Ziggler has already proven himself a stiff challenge for the relationship-saddled Cena. Will the 10-time WWE Champion buck history this time and balance business with pleasure accordingly? Or does The Showoff have him dead to rights?

* The World Heavyweight Championship Chairs Match between Big Show and Sheamus is becoming more and more of a mind game each week. The Celtic Warrior has been working himself up into fighting shape in full view of the giant, and Big Show retaliated last week by dismantling a steel chair with his bare hands right before Sheamus’ eyes. With TLC fast approaching, what will the two combatants have in store for each other this week? Tune into Raw on Monday, 8/7 CT on USA Network to find out!.
