“For people to still be chanting my name six years, seven years, eight years removed from the business—that’s a huge honor. Any comparisons in the positive note is a honor for me.”

WWE defend's itself:

WWE again has had to defend itself from accusations made by political rivals of Linda McMahon, this time over non payment of taxes, they wrote a letter in response...

The recent accusations and subsequent reports by Connecticut-based media that WWE (NYSE:WWE) was “caught” not paying taxes is blatantly false. Publicly traded companies often review taxes with regulatory authorities.

With regard to this recent and specific tax inquiry, WWE believed it should be classified under the single-factor approach to calculating its taxes based on the language of a statute that specifies the approach for businesses whose primary function is broadcasting activity.

WWE and the state agreed that the correct application of the statute to WWE was a bifurcated method with both approaches applying to different parts of its business.

As a result of the agreement, WWE paid the state approximately $500,000 annually over and above what WWE already had paid for the years 2005 through 2010, plus interest, and both WWE and the state have agreed to the bifurcated methodology moving forward.

Since 1982, WWE has grown from 12 employees to more than 700. WWE has paid $600 million dollars in wages to employees in Connecticut and $55 million in payroll and other taxes over the past ten years.

By any set of standards, WWE is an exemplary, CT-based, publicly traded corporation.

On the issue of tax credits, WWE has a responsibility to its shareholders to apply for tax credits when possible. When WWE launches its network (estimated to employ an additional 200 people), we hope to be considered for Governor Malloy’s Next Five Program, which provides additional economic assistance to companies like WWE.

Dudley dig at Musician:

Sign Guy Dudley has had a dig at Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan, for starting a wrestling promotion, saying anyone with deep pockets can start one, but that doesn't mean they should...

''It’s really annoying to be quite honest with you because there are a lot of people that are really passionate and they just don’t have deep pockets.”

Beth Phoenix:

Beth did not work the Tuesday TV tapings, so it seems that unless they give her an on screen send off on Monday (Highly unlikely) her loss to Kaitlyn, which was taped for Superstars was her last WWE match.

WWE Movies:

WWE are working on movies for CM Punk (After he loses the WWE title) and Eve Torres, the Eve movie is expected to be a 4th installment in their Marine franchise, with Eve being the first female star to take the lead role.

Deal scrapped:

It seems WWE are growing ever more frustrated by the Family of Bill Watts in their bid to buy the UWF video library and have walked away from negotiations, WWE have gone back time and again with improved offers, but the Ex Wife of Cowboy Bill who won the rights as part of their divorce settlement has found a problem with the contract every time.

You scratch my back:

WWE are considering making an offer to produce the biopic of the iconic Bruno Sammartino, If he allows them to enter him into the WWE Hall Of Fame, friends of the great man say he will never accept those terms, but the movie is not garnering interest from production companies, it has been bouncing around Hollywood for a few years, and has not yet come close to getting off the ground. We will have to see what Bruno thinks, is seeing his book turned into a movie enough of a reason to forgo his long held determination to avoid induction, due to the animosity between himself and Vince McMahon.

I personally hope so, he achieved far too much with that company not to be recognised.

The Undertaker:

The Undertaker has still not accepted any match or angle proposed to him for WrestleMania 29, and WWE are now working on the idea of him doing something at the Royal Rumble instead, he is also expected to compete at next months Survivor Series.

Celeb match at Mania:

WWE have approached Charlie Sheen and Alana Thompson to have a role at next years WrestleMania, hoping to use their celebrity to draw more fans to the show, they are also planning on celebrating the celebrities that have appeared for WWE over the years, many stars including Mr. T and Floyd Mayweather will be in attendance.
