Today's News

The Rock:

The Rock has confirmed he will star in a WWE movie...

"The unknown stuntman who moonlights as a bounty hunter.. Fired up to play the role. Cool, bad a** & fun#TheFallGuy"

The Miz:

The Miz has revealed his clique of close friends both in and out of WWE consists of Dolph Ziggler, Zack Ryder, Chris Jericho, Christian, and CM Punk.

He did however concede that he does not get on as well with everyone on the roster.

Total Diva's:

The Total Diva's head producer says Nattie Neidhart is his favourite cast member, but added he liked her before the show, he however feels the main stars of the show are the Funkadactyls.

NXT:

Lots of news coming out of this months block of NXT taping's. Firstly Kassius Ohno made his return after being removed from TV for refusing to change his body image, fans said he looked better than ever, however he did do the job for Luke Harper.

Triple H fired Dusty Rhodes as the NXT on screen boss, and replaced him with JBL.

Personal Note...

It seems my prediction on our other page (Shaggy's Wrestling Page) of something further down the road between the Rhodes and McMahon families is going to come to fruition, with Goldust returning to WWE and now Dusty getting involved in on screen stories to cover Cody's absence, and also Cody's soon to be wife using her Twitter to yet further this angle, this is leading to something good... Survivor Series match?.

Ricardo Rodriguez wrestled under his mask as El Local.

The Ascension became new NXT Tag Team Champions.

Indy Wrestler Santana Garrett was given a try out.

The NXT title was swapped between Bo Dallas and Sami Zayn.

Renee Young was on commentary for the first time.

Michelle McCool and The Undertaker, who had been working with the NXT roster this week were guests at the taping's. The Undertaker had been doing ring work with the NXT talent.

TNA copy WWE:

Dixie Carter has announced that TNA will air a kick off show before their Bound For Glory PPV, following the WWE, who do it before every PPV now.

Matt Morgan:

Matt Morgan has revealed that TNA not coming through with the ''Pretty major'' story line that convinced him to return to the promotion last Summer was the reason he quit again, and will probably never go back.

TNA Impact SPOILERS!!! for 19/9:

* Jeff Hardy vs Manic

* Mickie James vs ODB

* Eric Young vs Robbie E.

* Joseph Park vs Robbie E.

* Gunner vs Hernandez.

* Aces and 8's promo, where they were falling apart.

* EGO vs Main Event Mafia

* Dixie Carter Promo where she answers criticism of her lack of wrestling knowledge and commitment to the sport, she got a bit nutty apparently.

Jim Ross not ready to retire:

Jim Ross is going to ''Speak out'' on his WWE release to friend and fellow Hall of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin today for the rattlesnake's podcast.

He has also rubbished WWE's statement that he is retiring, saying he wants to continue his work with NXT and that he will always be available to return to WWE in whatever capacity they want to use him, and that the day he retires is the day he is buried. Those comments were made at an event in Scotland just last week.

Appearances:

Bruno Sammartino is going to be working with WWE this weekend.

Layla and Alicia Fox will appear on cupcake wars on September 21.

Royal Rumble:

WWE will host their first ever Royal Rumble fan fest next year, they have confirmed today.

TNA Bound For Glory:

AJ Styles won the BFG series and will challenge Bully Ray for the TNA Title at the PPV.

Mr. Anderson gone from TNA:

TNA have written Ken Anderson off TV and with his contract expiring this month, TNA fans have probably seen the last of him as a TNA star.

Chris Jericho talks TNA:

"TNA has to do something different. I think the worst move they've made was Hogan and Bischoff and Sting. Nothing against those guys, but we've seen it so many times. It's the third go-around for those guys now in the last 15 years. There's people out there, revolutionary people, that can take it in a different direction. They've gotta get some different minds and some different faces and start working from within. That's just my opinion. I think that they're happy doing what they're doing. They never get any bigger, they never get any smaller. If that's what you're into, that's fine, but for me, I always want to take things to the next level and take some chances. If you don't, and you're just doing the same thing over and over again, then it gets boring. Good luck to them. I hope they do survive."

Randy Orton:

The WWE champion has been given this weekend off to prepare for Night Of Champions.

NOC match pulled:

The US Title match between Dean Ambrose and Dolph Ziggler has been removed from the card on WWE.Com.

Personal Note...

I thought Night Of Champion was supposed to be a celebration of the company's title holders, but the IC belt is not on the line and now the US has been pulled, kind of flies in the face of the PPV's gimmick IMO.

Darren Young on Ellen:

Special UK tour:

Frank Turner (Daniel Bryan) and Manic Street Preachers (Wade Barrett) have been invited to the next WWE UK tour, as special guests of WWE stars who are big fans of them.

QUESTION OF THE DAY...

Can Matt Morgan cut it at WWE level?, he didn't do so great the first time around, has his TNA career helped take him to the next level, or is he doomed to fail, if he returns???
