Today's News

Paul Bearer:

A media source has announced that Paul Bearer is now officially confirmed for the 2014 Hall Of Fame, however that source is The Sun newspaper in the UK and they have a long term allergy to honesty.

He will be inducted next year, but the official conformation will not come for a long time yet.

WWE on YouTube:

It seems WWE have had a change of heart over charging for their YouTube content, YouTube officially approached them to offer the paid subscription package, but it seems WWE have declined the chance to be one of the first channels to be a part of this scheme. No word if they will join the scheme later on.

Extreme Rules:

Mark Henry vs Sheamus will be a strap match.

WWE sign new deal:

WWE have signed a third toy deal this week, this time with Bridge Direct, they will start to make WWE's first line of construction toys.

Injury:

World Champion Dolph Ziggler may miss Extreme Rules after he suffered a concussion during a match taped for SmackDown this week, he interfered in a Jack Swagger vs Big E. Langston match and took an accidental shot to the head. He was suffering from headaches and memory loss following the injury and WWE doctors diagnosed the concussion. He will now undergo Impact testing to determine the severity of the damage, but WWE are already re-working the World Title stories for Extreme Rules with possibly Langston filling in for Dolph, defending the Gold on his behalf.

Matt Hardy denies no-showing ROH PPV:

"No, I was never supposed to be there; actually I'll let everybody in on a little secret, when I first started speaking with Ring of Honor and Jim Cornette in September of last year, we kind of had an idea for a storyline arc that was going to go from December to WrestleMania weekend but because things went so well within that time, we decided to extend that and by the time we actually looked into the May dates, I was already booked on that weekend. So, I start back with them full time with everything else past this. It's going to work out just fine storyline wise, once we explain why I wasn't there. But basically, in a nutshell, Kevin Steen I really wanted to be his friend but he hurt my feelings by cursing me and also the Ring of Honor fans. I saw to all the Ring of Honor fans and to Kevin Steen: don't be a bully, be a star."

He also discussed the heat Kevin Steen has for him...

"You know, I think the biggest issue Kevin Steen has with me is that he's like a representation of the Ring of Honor fan base, in many ways. Even when he was a bad guy, he was still cheered for and I think Kevin Steen just goes 'Well I'm (Hardy) a WWE guy and I'm just taking up Ring of Honor regular's airtime and their spot on television.' So, you know there's a part of that and people crucify me for any mistakes I have made in the past, so I think all that rolled up into one is why Kevin Steen is so judgmental of me and he just didn't want to pal around with me or be with the group. But I like Kevin personally; you know I think he's a really cool guy, but I think his decision to not allow me to help to retain the title and to insult me and to bully me like he did, is really going to come back to bite him when it's all said and done because you're looking at a Matt Hardy now who's really reborn and reinvigorated and I'm getting ready to go hard again for a full-time, regular run in the wrestling business and my fist stop is winning that Ring of Honor World Heavyweight Championship."

Fandango:

Bad news for Summer Rae, WWE are said to be very impressed with the girl that Fandango paired with on Raw this week, and want her to be his regular dance partner, not NXT star Summer Rae as was planned. However the young lady, (who is a trained Dancer, which is believed to be the reason for the change of heart) who has not been given a name yet, is currently working through her college finals and is not able to work full time or go on the road with WWE at this time. She will share the role as Fandango's partner with Summer Rae until her studies are completed, and will then take the role on for herself.

Also on Fandango WWE plan a dance off between himself and Chris Jericho for this week's Raw, this will lead to a WrestleMania rematch at Extreme Rules.

CM Punk:

WWE have no timetable for a return to action for the former WWE Champion, but they hope he can be a part of the newest WWE PPV, Payback in June.

Updates on other returns due, Christian is still waiting for a decent creative story to bring him back to TV, and WWE feel Evan Bourne needs more time after his ring return at an NXT show recently. Sin Cara will be back next week.

Story change:

The Bella's are now the admirers of Kaitlyn, this will lead to them revealing they were doing a cruel practical joke on the Diva's Champ, and they will then become the next rivals for her title.
