SmackDown:

In a major change Mauro Ranallo will become the new lead announcer on SmackDown in the new year. He is a well known MMA and boxing announcer, and will continue to work externally of WWE, as well as doing the WWE gig.

Cena cameo:

John Cena will make a surprise cameo appearance in ''Daddy's Home.'' The Will Ferrell starring movie will be out on Christmas Day.

Balor reluctant to step back:

Finn Balor says he is concerned that moving to the main roster would be detrimental to his career...

"I really believe that what we're doing here in the Performance Center, what we're doing with NXT is something that's going to be remembered for years. I feel like to get quote, unquote called up to the main roster would be, maybe, like a step back for my career right now. Obviously, instant gratification, you get called up to the main roster, that's great, but I think what we're doing here in NXT will stand longer in history as kind of like a revolutionary period and to kind of pull myself out of that would be detrimental to my career in the long term."

Raw tease:

  • Following Roman Reigns' aggressive actions, it seems likely that The Big Dog will face severe consequences on Raw. How exactly will The Authority deal with the powerhouse?.
  • As The Dudley Boyz, Tommy Dreamer and Rhyno reel from their loss to The Eater of Worlds and his macabre followers, will the ECW Originals make an appearance in the City of Brotherly Love tonight?.
  • Dean Ambrose surely has big plans as he brings his newly won title to Raw, and there's a good chance Owens won't like any of them. Grab some popcorn and a soda, WWE Universe: The most unstable Intercontinental Championship reign in history is just beginning.
  • WWE's resident unicorns now ride to Raw with their tandem titles, but after The Usos and The Lucha Dragons put the champions through their paces in one of last night's most spectacular contests, could Raw mark the beginning of the end for The New Day?.
  • After witnessing her best friend retain her title by way of an assist from her father and an exposed turnbuckle, Becky Lynch questioned Charlotte's new attitude, and there are certainly many members of the WWE Universe that share Becky's concerns. Now that she's turned back Paige, will Charlotte continue to bend the rules on Raw?.

Jeff Jarrett reveals why he won't appear on Owen Hart's DVD:

"We just never could match things up. No hard feelings on my part or their part, we just never could match. I think it was June when they were producing it, and I had the Grand Slam shows. The schedules never worked out. I am glad they are putting the DVD out for Owen Hart fans. There's a whole generation that wasn't blessed to know Owen Hart."

NXT:

Triple H has confirmed that NXT will debut in the Midwest of the US in the new year.

LU signing:

Joey Ryan has joined Lucha Underground.

Cena talks retirement:

John Cena has shared his plans for his post ring career...

"I know that I'm in a time fighting business. I've always sworn to myself that if I can't keep up with the current level athletically, it's my time to take another role, whether that's commentating on the matches or stepping behind the curtain and molding younger talent. I always want to do whatever I can to help the industry. I see firsthand how happy we make kids and families. When you get a kid to sit down and have a conversation with Superman, it's the coolest thing. It makes their day. That's a pretty cool, unique thing."
