It took him a couple of years, but he is back, and doing pretty well for himself.

WWE on holiday:

WWE have given their staff and roster the weekend off before they head off for a 10 day European tour next week. This is something that may happen more often. WWE are planning on giving stars time away more often to decrease fatigue, injuries and burn out, although some officials are critical of the idea, saying fan numbers will drop for live events should the likes of John Cena and Daniel Bryan be absent. The idea was brought up in the wake of CM Punk's departure, with WWE wanting to avoid similar problems in the future.

Chris Jericho:

Chris Jericho has turned down a WWE return. He was approached last week with the offer to rejoin the WWE roster, but he told the promotion he was too busy with his musical commitments to give them the time they wanted over the summer.

Rey on his way?:

Rey Mysterio's WWE meeting reportedly did not go very well. The company offered him an improved legends deal, with the option for him to work a certain number of dates in the ring as a part time wrestler. Rey, it seems, is not ready to give up his career just yet, and has apparently decided not to sign the offered contract. This has left his status ''Up in the air'' according to one official. However Rey has friends in very high places. Vince McMahon is firmly on the side of getting him back on TV. He has not as yet stepped in to the negotiations, but as things get close to the wire, he may well do so, as Rey is one of the promotions highest earners in terms of merch sales, and ticket sales, in particular in the Latin American market.

Angle dropped... The long held plans to split the Shield, allowing Roman Reigns to continue solo, have been dropped. The group will continue together for some time yet.

The plans going into the future will instead see Cesaro join John Cena and Daniel Bryan as the top faces, along with Sheamus, who will have a planned heel turn nixed.

Backstage fight:

Sheamus and Sin Cara (Hunico) were involved in a backstage fight at last nights TV tapings. No word on what started the altercation, but it has been widely reported that Sin Cara won the scrap. Sheamus has however disputed this, not that the fight happened, but he says he did not lose, and he played the incident down, saying it was just how Irish men and Mexicans ''Hugged it out''.

Daniels on TNA release:

Christopher Daniels is upset at his TNA release, saying their excuse that he was too highly paid was unfair, and that...

"I was as surprised as everybody, or maybe I was more surprised than everybody because I didn't think it would happen. I had heard the internet rumors as early as January and I was like, 'This can't be true. How is this gonna be?' But it happened and they made the decision to not keep me around, so there you have it."

Many in Japan were shocked and saddened by the decision to quit Pro Wrestling NOAH by Kenta. However one star, a friend of the grappler says he is starting to struggle to continue with the Japanese style and has always dreamed of having a WWE run. It is said he wants to take the chance to make the move to America while his body is able to stand up to the WWE style and punishing schedule.

Legends House:

Hulk Hogan or Ric Flair will headline the second series of Legends House. Hogan has been favourite since the plans for a second run were confirmed, however there is a ground swell of support for Flair, growing within WWE. The series will be filmed in Florida.

David Benoit:

David Benoit will not make his wrestling debut for the Hart family in Canada after a huge dispute started. Chris Jericho stepped in to defend Benoit after Smith Hart booked him to wrestle despite the knowledge that he does not have any wrestling training under his belt. Chavo Guerrero, his planned partner, who was told he had been going to Lance Storm's school, withdrew from the event in protest of the spat.

Smith Hart says he booked Benoit into the match to do an angle, not have an actual match, as a ploy to improve ticket sales, Jericho fumed at the use of the Benoit name in this way and stepped in on young David's behalf to cancel the booking.

David claims Smith Hart tried to convince him he could get through the match without the training, as his involvement would be minimal.

David did have some training booked, following the advice of Triple H and William Regal, who told him to finish school, and then get himself to Lance Storm's school, as it was close to where he lived, and was the best school around. Benoit did not turn up for his classes.
