Grand Master Sexay:

Tennessee's DA have ordered an investigation into the death of Brian Christopher. Police told them he had been put into a solo cell because of his ''Notoriety'' and had shown no signs, or given them any reason to put him on suicide watch during his three weeks in their custody. Dave Meltzer has though claimed he has had a history of mental health problems and had attempted suicide once before in 2014.

Police later released a press statement on the incident...

''At the request of 25th District Attorney General Mark Davidson, TBI Special Agents are investigating the circumstances surrounding an incident involving an inmate at the Hardeman County Jail. On Saturday evening, Brian C. Lawler (DOB 1/10/72) was found hanging in his cell. Corrections officers administered CPR until paramedics arrived. Lawler was transported to Regional One Medical Center in Memphis where he died Sunday afternoon. Preliminary information indicates the incident does not involve foul play. However, the investigation remains active and ongoing. Lawler was booked into the Hardeman County Jail on July 7th on charges of DUI, Driving on Revoked, and Evading Arrest.''

"I hope in all the worls of worlds that WWE reaches out to Gail Kim. She's one of my favorites and I'm not just saying that because we're friends. I'm saying that from a professional talent standpoint. There's very few women that have put the psychology into their matches and the storytelling that Gail has.''

Sting staying retired:

"Yeah, I'm really done. I mean my neck doesn't bother me at all. For the first couple of months after the match, I had an ache that would go down to the left side of my neck and down into my left trap. It was like a dull ache that was just there all the time and it was hard to sleep. I don't have any side effects, any trouble so all I know is the neurosurgeon said, "You are so lucky there wasn't a catastrophe that happened. I got to be careful and it's sad too because even at my age I feel like I could still go, I could still have a real good Undertaker match for example. We could tell an incredible story with both the chemics and the mystique of both of them. I've had these ideas for 20 years, some of the ideas I have in my head. It would be something that people would talk about for a long time, but I'm satisfied. I'm happy with the way things turned out. I did have my WWE run, it was short, but I had one. I did WrestleMania, I wrestled Seth Rollins, I wrestled for the WWE World Title, so I can't complain."

Debut:

Zelina Vega will make her wrestling main roster debut this week on SD.

Impact star retired:

Velvet Sky has confirmed she is retired, and talked about never making it to WWE...

"This is like the million dollar question: How come The Beautiful People were never in the WWE. Well, it's because WWE wanted to create their own version of what is already out there that they see that works. And, The Beautiful People, Angelina and I, we would never want The Beautiful People to be tainted or twisted or anything that I feel WWE would try to do to us if we were ever there. We would never be allowed to be The Beautiful People. The entrance? Forget it. We'd never be able to let the pigeons loose there. It wouldn't work there, and like I said, they've created their own version of The Beautiful People, so they even knew that we worked."

WWE UK:

Ronda recalls Mania:

"I think that going into any new career like wrestling or acting or anything like that, a lot of people assume you can only be really good at one thing and if you master one thing you'll never be able to master anything else as well. There's a lot of low expectations going into things and it's harder to learn with the world watching opposed to being able to learn in private. But you know, it comes with the territory. It makes things a little bit more difficult but it also I think helps me improve quicker. My first match was at WrestleMania [...] it's like yeah, I'm hitting the ground running but I have all the best tools in front of me and I'm really lucky."

Injury:

Moose suffered a concussion at Slammiversary.

I promise you Morgan that at some point I will be back in the ring and maybe that will take place in WOS. We'll have to see."

Plus, when you look down there are three feet from the bottom of the ring up into the ground. So you are that much higher."

Alum attacks WWE:

Tommy Dreamer has attacked WWE for ruining hardcore...

"The word hardcore has been bastardized by WWE. People think about blood, or tables, or chairs. To me, hardcore is a work ethic. You know it became hardcore was WWE's version was early ECW and in ECW we did every single thing we could to put on a great performance for the fans. In Impact, I want to say every single wrestler could be hardcore. Becuase everybody goes out there an busts their butts to entertain the fans. No matter what situation they have been in."

JR critical of champ:

Jim Ross was unhappy with Carmella at Extreme Rules...

"I think that Carmella on the postgame show that I watched after Extreme Rules, inadvertently gathered some 'go away' heat, she was over-the-top and awkward from my point of view. I understand and I appreciate her enthusiasm, but she kind of went into business for herself, it seemed like and I think that kind of turned some people off. It didn't sound really WWE-ish.''

Juice crush:

Juice Robinson has reacted to WWE's desire to re-sign him...

"I ain't going back. I ain't ever going back."

HHH pops for Rousey:

"I've never seen anybody grab it as quickly as she has. I mean, Kurt Angle would probably be the closest to it because he just took to it like a fish to water with it. But she has no right to be anywhere near as good as she is, but she just gets it. I mean she gets it on more than just a physical aspect, across the board. She wants to entertain and she's loved this from probably before anything else [...] she truly believes all she's done is to get to WWE. When I used to hear her say that before I used to think, 'oh that's a cool way of saying it.' But legit, it is like this is what she was supposed to be doing. Her route to get here was different than everybody else's. Her route to get here was going through judo and coming up through MMA and the whole thing to get to where she is right now. It truly is like she is, it's amazing."

HOF'er confirmed:

Beth Phoenix has confirmed she will be at Evolution.

Titus vs Hulk:

Titus O'Neil continues to rail against Hulk Hogan's WWE return...

"First of all you grew up in the 60's. I don't know any black man that would let you call him that in the 60's. You grew up in South Tampa, you went to Robinson High School. I live in Tampa, Robinson High School was not a predominantly black school in the time that he went to high school. Most of the people he wrestled with, Mike Graham -- Eddie Graham's kid -- you know Steve Keirn, these guys all went to high school with him. So don't tell me that's how you spoke in the 60's. There's no realistic way that you can even come close to telling me that was okay with any black man at that time. So again, the inconsistencies of the apology along with the lack of remorse and contrition with the apology are the reason why I felt and many others felt at that meeting that this was a complete waste of our time."

AJ talks PT champion:

"Well, you know what? I don't care what anybody says. Brock Lesnar is what we call 'a draw.' People come see Brock Lesnar and the fact he's not wrestled that's on WWE. That's on Kurt Angle and anybody else that has anything to do with it. I do what I do. I'm a fighting champion like you said. I'm going to defend my championship. I'm going to give my championship the respect that it deserves. So I can't say much about Brock Lesnar. All I can do is keep doing what I'm doing."

Elias atacks PT wrestlers:

"To be honest with you, I'm sick of Chris Jericho. I've had enough of Chris Jericho. I've seen him on my TV far too often. I'm the guy that plays guitar and sings on Monday Night RAW, and he shows up, tries to steal my act? It was OK for a quick laugh or something like that but on a personal level, the guy's personality just rubs me the wrong way. His ego is just totally out of control, unfounded, and I can't stand people whose egos are just not deserving. That's all I can say. They can do whatever they want. If you want to consider them part-timers or once-a-year guys, or whatever it is, they can do whatever they want as long as they understand, when they're coming back to Monday Night RAW or pay-per-view or something like that, it's my show now. WWE is Elias' and as long as you accept that, you can do whatever you want but if you don't accept it then come to me because I definitely have a problem with that."

To me, it's a ridiculous statement, the timing of it. You cannot effect change in a region that, culturally, is trying to change, you cannot help them affect that change without being there."

Slam snubs SD:

Blue shows fans are upset at the official poster for SummerSlam, as none of their roster made the cover (Photo).

HOF hypocrite:

JR has been called a hypocrite on social media. Just days after welcoming the return of Hulk Hogan to the WWE HOF he has today blasted a celeb chef for using the same word...

"Papa John, what an idiot this guy is, he has got a bad eye job. He looks like a phone guy. He has created a great brand. He loves what he has done. I love what he has done as an entrepreneur, but not what he has done as a humanitarian. You don't bounce around the n-word if you've got some character and you've got a little class. Apparently, this dude is lacking both. He's getting hammered now, so a lot of big teams, a lot of big sponsors are saying, 'adiós, Papa John's'. I will not buy their pizza either. Sorry, that's how I work. If you don't like the way somebody's doing something, instead of just getting on a platform like this or social media and b---hing and moaning, I've got a solution for me. I ain't buying no damn Papa John's pizza. How's that? Now I can hear someone from the mighty Westwood One, 'oh, J.R., we were this close to a deal with Papa John's! You killed it!' I'm sorry, I'm going to be honest here or not do it."

BC banned:

Tama Tonga was banned from Twitter after a fan complained about him.

Chris Masters reveals why he walked out of TNA:

"I like that group and I had a lot of fun there with those guys. It just came down to in the end that it wasn't really enough money once they started cutting the budget for me to really show up to work. That's all it was. I like Eli Drake but I didn't favor the way they had me booked as his cheerleader unless it turned out into something we could do with a program and work with him and it eventually led to him being a babyface and me a heel. If we would have done that, it would have worked out great but I would have also wanted to be paid adequately. It just came down to those facts and obviously I just ended up quitting. I literally just after two days at the taping, booked a flight back to Toronto and just decided I wasn't coming back. I reached out to them when I landed in Toronto and told them I wouldn't be coming into work and that was it. It was as simple as that. My 35th birthday came around and something in my head just popped in and I said I'm not going to do anything that doesn't make me feel good or that I don't want to do at this point and that was one of the starts."

WWE going hard with new event:

Stephanie McMahon says the new female PPV is the ''WrestleMania of women's wrestling''...

"What's awesome about this pay-per-view event is that it's being treated the same as every other pay-per-view, because we believe in it so much. It has the creative writing team. It has all of our live events production, talent relations -- all of the different departments that go into making every pay-per-view a success are behind this pay-per-view. In terms of my role, I'm going to do everything I can to make it as big and as successful as it can possibly be. I'm hoping, at any rate, that this is going to be the WrestleMania of the women's division."

SCSA wants return of?:

Stone Cold misses managers in wrestling...

"To me, they were the salt and pepper on a great steak. Such colorful, flamboyant personalities, either that mouthpiece, or that dressing, or whatever it needs to be to enhance that talent further, or be the crutch, or be an addition to, and just make that person a superstar. The way I grew up watching wrestling when I was seven or eight years old, and going through the territories, and having my share of managers. Whether I liked them or not, or wanted them to be with me, I learned a lot from them. To me, they're part of the landscape that is pro wrestling."

Go out and get yourself over either in ECW or WWF, wherever you end up and then let's bring you back and then I can justify the money that you wanted. That was it. There was nothing more or nothing less to it than that. It was a cooperative kind of thing. All we were doing at the point was letting it play out. That was all."

"I have no regrets I mean, people say I ended my career when I allowed her to Sable Bomb me, the powerbomb, in one of our disagreements we had in the ring. I understood a lot of guys wouldn't work with me after that because they said I allowed a girl to beat me up on national TV. But, again, remember, we were a married couple. We realized that this was only going to be a short part of our lives and we would be able to live the rest of our lives financially secure, so, at that time, you don't think about maybe the other side, the detrimental effects. I mean, somebody could look at that later in life and not understand how someone could think like that. That I could certainly understand and respect it. But I would not change anything. I couldn't be happier in my own life now."

Hardcore legend worries about hardcore matches:

Tommy Dreamer says...

"Light tubes are ridiculous. Here's why: inside there is cancer carcinogens inside it. So when you breathe that in, you're breathing in cancer. So that's stupid. You know what? If you look at it from a horror film perspective. There are people who like scary movies, there are people who like super scary movies, and there are people who like gore movies which are just out there for blood, guts and all that stuff. It's to each their own, but there have to be certain precautions because you have heard of -- 'oh, by the way, there's something called hepatitis.' I would be a hypocrite to say, 'oh you can go too far.' Cause I was the guy who would walk into a building and go, 'I'm either gonna get thrown off that or I'm gonna throw somebody off of that.' But we've learned different things. Chair shots to the head should never happen in professional wrestling again. No one should be having hardcore matches unless the other person that you know has a blood test. You know what I love about wrestling in Louisiana? They have a blood test. If there's going to be a commission, you should have a blood test. Because guys are bleeding."

Book backs Hulk:

Booker T has thrown his support behind hulk Hogan after some rostered stars criticised his return...

"The thing is when people say stuff behind closed doors... I'm sure you've said things behind closed doors, I'm sure everyone in that room has said stuff behind closed doors that they'd never say in public. Why is the person taping your conversation? They're obviously looking to get something out of it. You gotta look at it from that perspective as well. You don't know if someone was drinking or not. There are so many variables that go into that one little episode. And I just don't think that in the wrestling business coincide with each other. Do we got to set this thing down, reprimand, suspend him? Of course. But for him to be banned from professional wrestling for that one incident? I mean c'mon. That I don't agree with. Let's put in the past and move forward."

One of those critical, Titus O'Neil, says he found Hulk's speech to be hard to believe and lacking in contrition..

''The talent present in Pittsburgh, which I was a part of, was asked to attend a mandatory meeting in which Mr. Terry Bollea addressed everyone and informed the same that he would be reinstated into the WWE Hall of Fame. At no point during, after or otherwise did I make any scene concerning Mr. Bollea's communication to the talent. In addition, let it be known that I did not refuse to shake Mr. Bollea's hand; we did not have any type of one-on-one interaction whatsoever that would or did necessitate any exchange between us individually.  As to the reinstatement of Mr. Bollea, I can only communicate that I am a proponent of second and even third chances for individuals that show true remorse, acknowledgment of wrongdoing, fulfill their punishment, if applicable, and otherwise put forth sincere efforts to correct the issues. Unfortunately, I must echo the sentiment and dissatisfaction expressed by many of my fellow contemporaries concerning Mr. Bollea's apology and its lack of true contrition, remorse and a desire to change. Mr. Bollea's apology "that he didn't know he was being recorded" is not remorse for the hateful and violent utterances he made which reprise language that has caused violence against blacks and minorities for centuries. I stand firm in my position that Mr. Bollea is entitled to reinstatement; he was and is a role model, hero and icon to countless people. I hope that Mr. Bollea's missteps in communicating to the WWE talent in Pittsburgh are not repeated to his fans and I expect that he shall pursue an agenda that clearly communicates to all third parties that his language was inappropriate, wrong and should not be tolerated in a civilized and inclusive society.''

Bret reacts to Martha over Owen:

''This past week, I have received multiple requests for comment regarding my recent interview on a podcast and the rebuttal made by Dr. Martha Hart. First of all, I want to express my disappointment in both the Calgary Sun and Calgary Herald for running a gossip-style article and making it front page news when there are more pressing issues in the world to highlight. You are better than that. I listened back to the interview in question and I specifically want to address Martha's comments about my words being cruel, reckless, irresponsible, and hurtful. Stampede Wrestling was an institution in the city of Calgary. Wrestling was our family business. My brothers and I either wrestled for my father Stu or worked behind the scenes. Fans packed the Victoria Pavilion every Friday night for decades. Martha has seemed to have forgotten that she attended those same shows before she met Owen. She was, by definition, a wrestling fan. That same group Martha appears to look down upon and ignore. Earlier this year, Mark Henry took time during his WWE Hall of Fame induction to specifically address Martha. With tears in his eyes, Henry pleaded with her to allow Owen to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. My nieces and nephews were in the audience with tears in their eyes as he expressed how much he deserved to be there with his peers. Fans have told me they had tears in their eyes when they watched the moment on television. Those same fans Martha sat side-by-side with at Stampede Wrestling and WWE events. Those same fans that donate to the Owen Hart Foundation and helped make it what it is today because they remember the joy he brought to their lives and not by how he died. Those royalty checks she receives from the company she says she doesn't want any part of? Those are also from those same fans. To her, their tears do not matter. To me, that is cruel and hurtful. It is true that Martha and I were close at one time. I was right by her side after Owen's death until she received her settlement from WWE and proclaimed me a "pest". Martha later declared herself and her children Harts in name only, called us all "black sheep", and ceased contact with the rest of the Hart family. She further isolated from us when we all came together in 2010 to honour our father Stu being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame and participated in a DVD that celebrated our family (Hart & Soul). Owen's children do not have a relationship with his brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and cousins. One of my nieces, in fact, named her son Owen after him. I do not know Oje and I wouldn't know Athena if she walked passed me on the street. Owen's children only know of their father's family by what is told by their mother, whatever that may be, painting us all with one broad brush. To block Owen's children from knowing their father's family, to me, is cruel, reckless, and irresponsible. Owen's tragic accident almost 20 years ago changed our family forever. Martha lost her soulmate and her children lost their father. You have to remember, however, that I also lost my brother. My children lost their uncle. My grandchildren will only know him through pictures and stories. His peers lost a close friend who filled them with endless laughter through long periods on the road. The fans lost someone that they lovingly connected to. Martha is not alone in her loss and grief. The Owen Hart Foundation is a wonderful charity that has raised millions of dollars and has helped many people in its 19 year history. I am not disputing or denying that whatsoever. I disagree, however, that it should be the sole outlet to remember Owen by. This is not just about Owen being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. This is about his wrestling career, his wrestling legacy, his contribution to the business that he loved and honouring that contribution. Owen Hart was a world-renowned professional wrester, and a damn good one. He was part of the foundation that our family name was built on not just in the city of Calgary but all over the world. For Martha to want to rewrite history, to refuse to acknowledge or recognize his great wrestling career, to brush off what he, myself, and my father did as "that fake stuff" is wrong. Owen Hart was a wrestler. The next generation deserve to know how great he truly was. I am happy to hear that my brother Owen will be inducted into the George Tragos/Lou Thesz Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame on July 28 in Waterloo, Iowa. My father and I are past honourees. While I will not be in attendance, the Hart family will be well-represented with my brothers Ross, Bruce, Keith, sister Diana, and my nephew Harry Smith accepting the honour on his behalf. Thank you to the Board of Directors for recognizing his wrestling career, his contributions to the wrestling business, and his legacy. I'm sure the event will be filled with laughter, tears, and an overall appreciation for the man that he was. I can only hope that this is only the beginning.''
