Today's News

WWE are actively working on getting UFC champion Conor McGregor onto their show, despite his very negative views on wrestling.

Why Styles was fired:

Joey Styles was not fired for his joke at Evolve, but because of breaking the rule about political debate on their show.

Joey Styles says an unscripted change to an interview segment threw him and he panicked and ad-libbed. He realised as he was reciting the Donald Trump joke that he should not be doing so, and stopped himself. He did though realise his error and asked Gabe Sapolsky to make a public statement about firing him as an example, as Gabe was worried about their new deal with FloSlam, who had an official at the event. He then apologised for his error to Gabe, to the interviewer he joked about, to the roster and to the FloSlam Exec before going to the hospital with one of the talent who had suffered a concussion during the show.

His explanation has not saved him trouble though, he has been fired by two more promotions, Beyond Wrestling and Chikara, over the incident.
