Today's News

Top NXT star benched again:

A horrific botch has put Kenta (Hideo Itami) back on the bench ''For months.'' Riddick Moss tried a quick scoop slam during a match earlier this month, and planted him on the top of his head, causing a neck injury. He had only just recently returned from a long-term shoulder injury. He is out of the Dusty tag comp, and NXT-Toronto, but is determined to be on the Japan tour later in the year.

TJ Perkins will sub for him in the Dusty tourney.

Michael Elgin:

ROH and NJPW star Michael Elgin will have surgery on a broken orbital bone today.

Cry-back:

Ryback has come out to say he should be the man facing Goldberg in his WWE return match. Probably shouldn't have quit then, should you?.

He also said today that he is determined to make a success of his time away, so he can come back to WWE in the future, but on his terms.

Paige gone until Mania:

Even after her second WWE ban expires we won't be seeing Paige until probably after WrestleMania 33. If she has the neck surgery she would not be cleared until April or May of next year.

Rather controversially for the family and friends of Paige, WWE have reportedly declared that they doubt her injury is as serious as she is making out, and that they do not think she will need surgery to repair her neck. Her doctors say she does, but there is a worry that with the current tensions, WWE may refuse to pay for the op.

Jericho donates:

Chris Jericho has donated $5,000 towards Perry Saturn's medical bills.

World's strongest tour:

Mark Henry is on a global tour promoting the WWE video game.

New profiles:

After their NXT debut's last night most of the Sanity faction, Eric Young and Alexander Wolfe have joined the WWE roster, and another newcomer, Ariya Daivari, has also taken his place as a Raw cruiser star. Finally, this week's featured star on the Network, Jimmy Wang Yang, has joined the alumni roster.

Undertaker injured:

The Undertaker has been pictured using crutches to get around, no word on if, or what, his injury is.

WWE / TNA cross promotion:

Matt Hardy has reacted to Triple H personally chasing him to return. He has offered to appear on WWE TV, if WWE, in return, allow New Day to make an appearance on TNA TV. He made the same offer to ROH for the Young Bucks.

Goldberg return news:

Goldberg has only been given a one match deal, although he is said to be hoping for a final run. WWE are going to wait and see how his Survivor Series match, and the fan reaction to it, goes first.

NXT:

Shinsuke Nakamura vs Samoa Joe will headline NXT-Toronto next month.

Foley weighs into Rollins issue:

Mick Foley has come out in support of Seth Rollins, against Bret Hart's repeated attacks on his safety. He said he hopes it does not cause a feud with his fellow HOF'er, but Seth is being given a bad rap, because Bret's words carry so much weight.

TNA sale collapsing into farce:

An un-named party has withdrawn from the TNA table, WWE have also pulled out again, and Billy Corgan is so angry with Dixie Carter's handling of talks he has launched a number of lawsuits against individual members of the board, including Dixie Carter and her husband. Even Dixie's loyal right hand man has tried to wiggle his way out of the impending disaster that TNA is facing. John Gaburick recently met with Kevin Dunn to offer to facilitate the sale of the TNA tapes to WWE, in return for a WWE job.

TD for Alum:

Eve Torres says she was offered a spot as a cast member of Total Diva's for the first series. They wanted to follow her as her career came to an end, and what she did after, but she had already decided her heart was no longer in it, and rejected the offer made to her by Triple H.
