Top star out of PPV:

John Cena has been pulled from Survivor Series. His reality TV show cannot release him for the weekend, as WWE hoped.

Goldberg:

Goldberg has confirmed WWE only offered him one match, and says he is treating it as his last, although is open to doing more. He also talked about his mixed emotions about returning to WWE...

"Granted, there is a little bit of me that always wanted to come back and do my thing, but that really pales in comparison to the reason I've chosen to do it. I mean, I'm taking a huge risk. Well, first of all, I have to live up to the standard of my last match, which shouldn't be too difficult. There's a lot to take into consideration, dude. Am I going to be able to do it physically? Am I going to be big enough? Am I going to be strong enough? Am I going to break something, pull something, tear something? Am I going to be able to do the things that I used to do? I mean, the list is a million things long. But, hey, dude, I don't have a problem with obstacles."

Tense interview legit?:

Booker T told Brian Kendrick that he is too old to be champion, has seen the best days of his career, and demeaned himself in asking TJ Perkins to give him the gold before HIAC. Kendrick gave as good as he got telling Booker he was never the performer he is and couldn't hang with him on his worst day. There are rumours of a real dislike of each other being to blame for the interview, but it seemed kayfabe to me.

McMahon gets his way:

People that think Vince McMahon backed down to allow the women to main event last night's HIAC are wrong. He allowed the match to go last, but only after demanding the result be changed. Sasha was booked to go over, but Vince wants to see the gold around Bayley's waist, and demanded they step up her planned programme for the gold, by putting it back on Charlotte for the third time.

TNA Alum says it is time they went away:

Alex Silva says it is about time TNA went out of business. He follows Jim Ross and JJ Dillon who compared the company's situation to the dying days of WCW.

Legends Mania challenge:

Booker T says one match would tempt him back into the ring. He asked Goldust and R-Truth to team with him at Mania 33 for a shot at the New Day.

Eva Marie:

Eva Marie is free to return to WWE after finishing her movie this week.

Outspoken in the UK:

Dolph Ziggler says WWE were wrong not to put his retirement match on last at No Mercy, talking to a Britsh newspaper...

"I didn't make that remark because I'm a fan of myself and thought this should be the main event - by the way if you're a superstar that's how people should think anyway every day - as a businessman and someone who loves the business and loves watching wrestling and enjoying the show, the emotion that was set up for months and years into that match, that's what made it the main event, no matter where you put it on the show. If anyone wants to argue with me, go to town."

Paige:

Paige is contemplating doing a weekly video diary with Alberto Del Rio on YouTube.

TNA:

Billy Corgan has lost his court case against TNA, meaning Dixie Carter is free to make the decisions as she sees fit. The judge has demanded Corgan be repaid all money he put into the company, but that is likely the end of his interest in taking the promotion over. One current star wasted no time in slamming his bosses. Mike Bennett said it is back to the bad days of before.

NXT injury:

Austin Aries will have surgery on his damaged face this week. He will be benched until the new year.

Reunion:

Sting and Kurt Angle met up for the first time in three years this weekend.

Becky Lynch:

Becky Lynch says she never wanted to join WWE...

"When I was younger, I didn't want to come to WWE because I didn't fit into the mold. I couldn't identify myself with the term "diva." The divas brand was meant to put a spotlight on the women, but the term to me felt more glamorous than me."

She also discussed retiring in 2006, after the death of her mother whilst she was working shows in America...

"I quit wrestling in 2006 because I just got lost. My mom didn't want me wrestling, I was wondering if I was going to make it in wrestling, I got injured in a match, I was 19, I was away from home, living in Florida and I just got lost. I couldn't face it, so I stepped away. It was like a death for me, and that is not an exaggeration. I struggled for years to find what I wanted to do. I was away for seven years. I always kept journals, and it's crazy to go back and read these journals because it seemed like I had unfinished business. I always felt like it was something I was meant to do, but I just didn't know how to get back in. So I ended up just trying to do something to fill the void."

Hell In A Cell:

Tonight is WWE Hell In A Cell. The latest Raw only PPV special. As of this morning Sasha Banks vs Charlotte was planned to be the main event, with Roman Reigns vs Rusev the opener.

Charlotte talks reason for wrestling:

She says her brother Reid talked her into getting into the sport at their father's second HOF induction ceremony...

"I was at the WWE Hall of Fame for the Four Horsemen in Miami, and John Laurinaitis was at dinner with my family and he asked me, "Why aren't you doing this?" I told him, "I never thought about it." My little brother, Reid, was like, "Oh my god! We can do it together!" I was personal training at the time, so I thought, I'll give it a shot. I don't know how Reid convinced me. Even when I was driving to Tampa with the U-Haul packed, I thought, "What am I doing?!" I never wanted to be a wrestler. When I got there though, the wrestling -- the physical part -- was super easy. I've played sports, and I've been a tomboy my whole life. But I didn't have a goal. After my brother Reid passed away in 2013, I realized this was what I was meant to do. And I just got better."

She also shared this photo of her late sibling.

Today's News

Flair blasts HOF'er as worst ever:

Ric Flair says his worst opponent was Ultimate Warrior...

"I'm wrestling the Warrior in Winnipeg [Canada], right? I'm the champion. And the match, Mike, probably, the second worst match I ever had in my life. The first being when I wrestled The Warrior in Phoenix [Arizona] and he dropped me on my head. Okay? So I come back from the ring. I knew the match just was absolutely brutal. And Pat Pattersongoes to me, 'that was the worst f--king match I've ever seen in my life'. And I said, 'you're telling me, motherf--ker? I was in it!.' It was absolutely terrible. I just couldn't have a match with him. It was like wrestling Jimmy Valiant. When the music stopped, the match was over."

He also blamed Warrior for him dropping the belt to Bret Hart in 1992 at a live event...

"Well, going back to what I had said before, I was wresting The Warrior two nights before that and he dropped me on my head in Phoenix. And I got that inner ear problem where I lost balance. And I never was capable of giving Bret nearly the match he deserved that night. I literally lost my balance and I just hobbled through the match. And he actually carried me because every time I went down, my equilibrium was gone and I couldn't get back up fast enough to feed him. Do you know what I mean because I fell down and it took me awhile to get used to it."

TNA decision on Monday:

A judge will decide the outcome of Billy Corgan's case against Dixie Carter on Monday.

If Corgan wins he will get a restraining order stopping TNA making any business decisions relating to the company, and they would be banned from selling the promotion or it's assets. He may also get the 92% ownership he wants from Dixie Carter. He would also have all the money he loaned to TNA paid back within 24 hours.

If Dixie Carter wins they can continue as they are, with Corgan excluded from the office. Corgan would then likely accept the pay off of the loans he made and would withdraw from the bidding process for the promotion. That would leave Anthem with an 85% ownership of the company, Aroluxe would have 10% and Dixie would maintain an influence with 5%.

I have to work so much harder being with a successful man to just prove myself. I could be at some event wanting to do business with people and they automatically go to John and not me because I'm with someone like that. It makes me laugh because people think it's easy and I get everything because of him when it's the exact opposite."

Injury:

An NXT match had to be stopped last night due to an injury to Austin Aries. He has a suspected broken jaw and a deep cut to his eye.

KO talks being champion:

"It was the culmination of 21 years of hard work. I'm 32 now and was 11-years-old when I first watched WWE. When I started wrestling for WWE for a living, my goal was to become world champion, just as everybody's goal is in this industry basically. I've heard some people talk negatively about Triple H helping me win the title, but that actually made it more special to me, because without Triple H I wouldn't be here. He made the call to hire me and he has been a pretty big supporter of mine since I first got here. For him to literally hand me the title, for me that just added to the moment."

Will Ospreay vs Vader feud reignites:

Will Ospreay has revealed Vader demanded their match result be changed, or he wouldn't have done it, and he is not happy about it...

"This is a business, and I do what I'm told to do, but I am unhappy about the way it went about. The original plan was for me to be over, and it changed the night before because he didn't want to do it. I was a little bit disappointed in the fact that a man like Vader, at the age that he is, refused to put over a guy like me—maybe because I don't fit the mold of what wrestlers look like. I never complain about putting someone over, but this is one time—after the headache that I went through—that I should have gone over."

Today's News

Backstage tussle over PPV:

There is currently a backstage battle over the main event of Hell In A Cell. Some officials want to give the women their chance to main event the PPV on Sunday, but others are equally adamant they should not. The only thing they have agreed on is that match should not be in the middle of the card, for fear of fans leaving the PPV half way through after seeing home town hero Sasha Banks fight. If the girls are not in the first match of the night on Sunday, they will be in the last, but the decision will likely not be made until the day.

Dana Brooke vs Bayley has been added to the HIAC card. The kick off will be a 6 man cruiser tag, with Sin Cara, Lince Dorado and Cedric Alexander taking on Tony Nese, Drew Gulak and Ariya Daivari.

Corgan vs TNA lawsuit:

Details of Billy Corgan's writ against TNA have been released. The next hearing of his case will be today. He claims Dixie Carter committed to transfer 100% of her stake in the company to him, but reneged. He wants control of the company as was promised. He says he fired all of the previous management team to bring his own people in on October 12, repeated his assertion that the company are insolvent and can't pay their bills. He says he paid a debt TNA owed to stop a planned lawsuit from Aroluxe, which would have finished them. He also accused Dixie of playing two sides by taking money from the Fight network to earn money for their tape library, at the same time as trying to sell it to WWE.

He says he was lied to about the amount of debt they were in, and that he wouldn't have put as much money in if he knew, and revealed that TNA had to cancel a block of TV tapings in November because they had no money to pay for them. He also says he has been excluded from the company, and Aroluxe are currently running the business without his input.

He will, later today, ask a judge to recognise his financial input into the promotion, and the promises made to him, so he can take control of the company.

The case is actually currently being heard and is being live tweeted by Corgan's legal team. He revealed that Dixie killed talks with WWE until she could afford to get rid of Corgan from the company, which led WWE to reduce their offer for the company when they came back with a second bid.

Hawkins wrestles:

Curt Hawkins has worked his first televised match since returning to WWE. He fought Apollo Crews on Main Event last night.

Steve Austin says 'Curtain Call' changed his life:

"Vince wasn't going to screw Shawn Michaels because Shawn was already cantankerous. He was his World Champion and he needed him happy, so he had to punish somebody and he punished Triple H. And he told me, two weeks going in the event I was going to win King Of The Ring. Had I had not won that event, Austin 3:16 would never have happened. 'Cause Stone Cold Said So' would never have happened organically, so I don't know what would have happened. I might have been a midcard guy my whole career. And that's the bottom line. Who knows what would have happened? I'm just glad it did and I'm glad I got the opportunity."

RVD outspoken:

Rob Van Dam has given a frank interview...

On why he joined WWE...

"With WWE, I mean, I felt like, when I went there, first, there was nothing else left, right? And I hadn't gone anywhere between ECW and WWE. I hadn't. Some indy shots, very few, I do them very selectively, and I did a movie, whatever. There was no other option if I wanted to continue being a professional wrestler on TV in the United States, WWE was all there was. Paul E. was already there."

On being disappointed with himself for joining...

"When I went there, I looked at it at the time as artistically selling out because my perception of what WWE was. It seemed like the Disney-fied version of wrestling because here we were in ECW nobody ever asked us, 'hey, do you guys really hit each other?' because we beat the f--k out of each other. I did look at it like 'okay, basically, I was doing this for the business, for the money, not for the art, because they're probably going to call me Robot Van Dam and have me, like, go out like, they're going to recreate my character, erase my past' because that is what I thought about them. And plus, while we were beating the s--t out of each other [in ECW], I would see the WWE guys, like, tap each other on the back with a chair and go down and it was insulting to me!"

On TNA's lack of motivation...

"When I was with TNA there were a lot of guys that really felt like they had it and they didn't need to get better. They were fine with where they were at in their career and they were in whatever. And then, working with them was a little frustrating because there were a lot of the times when they would want to do something, and they would actually put up, I don't want to say argument or debate, and then 100% of the time, D'Lo Brown would come over and say, 'no, Rob's right' and he would have to explain it and after a while, I was like, 'you know what? I'm going to be in my car. Just let me know when it's match time. I just want to go out there and show off.' And I didn't enjoy a part of it, having to deal with people I feel, I don't want to say it was a lack of respect. But I'm just more comfortable with where I've come and where I'm at and appreciating that than some of them seem to be."

John Cena caused some offence at a media event today. He was asked by a young fan what his favourite thing to eat was, and he replied in a very non PG way. He looked over to Nikki Bella and said if she stood up he could show everyone (Referring to her vagina). Nikki quickly saved the situation by telling the youngster what his real best meal was, and he thanked her for helping dig him out of the hole his mouth had gotten him into, but the damage was done with some, who were less than impressed with his language.

Most in the crowd took the joke for what it was and laughed along, but the fact the question came from a child troubled others.

Ryback:

Ryback says he is quitting use of testosterone to get back to a normal body as he wants to start a family within the next five years. He added he will follow in the footsteps of Triple H who did the same in 2002/3...

"Whether he likes me talking about this or not, but do you remember when Hunter went through that period of looking pretty s--tty on TV? And he has one of the all-time greatest physiques. But there was a period where, I always remember, I don't know if the rumor was he was trying to have kids. But I remember, there was a period where his body was a little softer, and he still looked great, but when you're in wrestling, spandex and tights, they bring out the worst. And you're out there breathing heavy. I remember there was a period where he didn't look quite as good as what he had before. So I feel like I went through that period myself of, even though I stayed relatively lean the entire time, I lost some muscle mass because I wasn't working out either for six weeks. I couldn't. I wasn't allowed. I wasn't allowed to do anything after the ear and nose surgery. And so, I'm just now, my weight is just now coming back and I'm, like, lifting normal and whatnot."

Today's News

Deceased wrestlers had CTE:

Axl Rotten and Balls Mahoney were both suffering from CTE before their deaths earlier this year. Their families are among the wrestlers taking WWE to court.

Why I retired:

Richie Steamboat has discussed why he felt he had to quit WWE and retire from wrestling...

"The back injury couldn't have happened at a worse time in my career. It was really getting to the point where things were taking off, all the hard work I had done for so many years was paying off. I was having a feud with Kassius Ohno on NXT, and I injured my back doing a moonsault. I landed wrong and I lost feeling in everything from my chin down. I could still move everything, but I couldn't feel anything. Over the next few days, feeling started to come back to me, and I wrestled through it. I worked several more weeks and really kind of kept my mouth shut about it because I was given this position and I wanted to make the most of it, I didn't want to give up that opportunity, and it got to the point where my son at the time was like two or three and I couldn't even pick him up. I sat down and talked to the WWE doctors to discuss things with then and I flew up to Pittsburgh to see some specialists. The best idea for my career and my future would be to kind of put the breaks on for a little bit and get some things fixed in my back."

He went on to say he still has the itch to return and that he is leaving the door open to a comeback.

Corgan vs TNA:

Cody Rhodes talks Stardust reference:

Cody Rhodes has discussed the sneaky reference to his WWE gimmick on 'Arrow' this week...

"I believe it was Marc Guggenheim. Actually, I think everybody agreed that there would be some sort of a wink to the audience who enjoyed the initial interaction with Stardust and the Arrow at WWE's SummerSlam. It concerned me a little bit because there are tons of Arrow fans who do not like wrestling, or maybe they're not aware of it and they don't intend to be aware of it. So, the last thing I wanted to do was make it so obvious that it was, "Here's the dumb wrestler who gives a dumb wrestler performance. Bye dumb wrestler!" But when I saw it all together, it's just simply a good wink at the audience and, in a way, it bridges the experience from the wrestling that Stephen and I did to being on set. When I did the character of Stardust, for me to play the character, I had to give myself something in my mind for why, in eight years of being Cody Rhodesand myself, I would want to be Stardust. I always thought of it as some sort of drug or brainwashing, so it's perfect. I think it bridges the experiences."

"You can't find anybody in the locker room that does not want to work with Seth Rollins. Nobody! And ask John Cena what happened with the nose thing. John will tell you, 'it was my fault'. He put his arm back there to brace and there it went."

Ha! Good luck with that! That's just the way it is. His body is not used to it and Brock is a whole different can than spearing Ric Flair, okay? Correct? I mean, I just don't think Bill is going to be physically up for that, myself. I mean, it might look good on paper, but, God, because Brock is 10 times more aggressive now than he was the last time he wrestled Bill."
