Today's News

JR confirms Impact talks:

"Not that long ago before I signed to return to WWE the Friday night before WrestleMania. My team was having ongoing business discussions with Impact Wrestling regarding the ITV project, but also, which a lot of people know about, but also about me being the play-by-play voice for Slammiversary. And so that was in the works. We weren't close to getting a deal done but the talks were ongoing. Look, if we had come to terms and I didn't have any other contractual issues, I would have no problems what-so-ever being a part of an event like Slammiversary. So I wish them good luck, have a good show and make me want to buy another one. That's your job this weekend."

He just said, 'At the end of the day, you have to do what's best for you. If things don't work out, you have my number. Give me a call.' It was great for him to say that to me. At the time, I don't think I was ready for it with some stuff with my family life and my personal life to take care of. He understood that. It had nothing to do with wrestling. But never say never is the wrestlers' motto that we live by. If it presented itself, I would talk it over my family again and see what we could do."

He had me in a freakin' diaper with a New Year hat and he wanted me dancing and all I could think of, it was like some billionaire masturbating video where he has got some fat guy. You can imagine Vince in some dark room looking at it on a big screen, like, 'yeah, now s--t in the diaper, you fat bastard! s--t in the diaper! That's it!' It was just so uncomfortable."

He is out there turning it up, on TV and at the live events. He's got a lot left, but when he does hang it up, he'll be Hall of Fame bound. I'm very proud of my brother."

Today's News

TNA made me hate wrestling:

Bobby Roode says he had to get out of his long career with TNA because he started hating his job...

"You want to have great matches, but your timing is off and you don't feel like you're at 100%. And then saying that, I got in the business to be in the business. It sounds kind of backwards, but I didn't want to be home all the time. I wanted to be on the road and I wanted to get those reps in and I wanted to be on all the live events. I wanted to kind of tour around and have that kind of schedule. And with TNA, it's like I felt like I was just spinning my wheels near the end of it. And I started to really not like my job, which was kind of an eyeopener for me because I was never in a position in the last 17 years up until that point that I really hated wrestling and I really started to hate it."

WCW star reveals why he couldn't join the invasion:

Alex Wright says...

"After they bought WCW they approached me a couple of times. One time they wanted to give me a buyout of my contract, as I was one of the few wrestlers that had direct contracts with Time Warner, so WWE couldn't buy that contract. They offered me a buyout but it wasn't good so I said no and I sat out my contract. After that they approached me twice and there were talks. I was very honored that they asked me and wanted to give me the chance, but I am the kind of they guy that wants to give 100% when I'm in the ring. I knew I couldn't do that at the time because I was burnt out."

Eve Torres says their era deserve to be credited for the growth in women's wrestling...

"Everyone plays their part and you just chip away at it. And then, the next generation chips away. And then, the next generation chips away. And eventually, it breaks and they say, 'okay' and they see that it's something worth investing in. So I think it's fair to say that every generation did their part."

Kelly Kelly says she was upset at the retirement of the word ''Diva''...

"We always recognized the women that came before us. Do you know what I mean? And then, when the Divas Championship came along, and I feel like they totally wiped that out, what about us? Do you know what I mean? We gave it our everything when we walked through that curtain every night. Like, we went out there and we gave it our all. And so, I feel like even the Divas Championship itself, like, just wiping that out and kind of like forgetting about that, it's kind of like, a knife to the heart."

JoMo reveals how Miz was forgiven for Benoit incident:

"Miz was on Tough Enough 4 - which was the live SmackDown one - and I was on 3 and in between those two there was maybe a four year gap. It was quite a long time. I had already kind of had solid relationships with the guys on the roster and I remember 'The Miz eating chicken' incident. I think he was eating chicken over Scott Armstrong's bag. And Benoit saw him and kicked him out of the locker room. Forever. Like, completely kicked him out of the locker room. "I remember hearing about it - and I was on the other show - then the Benoit tragedy occurred and six or eight months after that, Miz had still been changing in the hall, he didn't really know what to do, because the rule is whoever kicks you out of the locker room has to be the one to invite you back in. So, he didn't know what to do. In that case, I think Undertaker might have done this. At one point, said something like 'Hey kid, why do you keep changing by the garbage? What are you doing out there?' Then Miz explained the story and he invited Miz back in."

The fans would really love to see Beth and I dance in the ring and that never happened. I feel like the fans were cheated out of that so I would love to do that for the fans and for myself."

We'd like to grow, but we don't want to impugn the product, and I'll never do that. We want preservation."

Orton nervous about HOF:

Randy Orton says he is worried about his future HOF induction...

"I've been around a minute but I started young, so yeah I have another five or ten years in me, easy. It's something I have thought about, if anything it's just a little nerve racking thing - the speech for the Hall Of Fame. I don't consider myself the best talker in the world, and sometimes I get carried away and I think I can say whatever's on my mind, and I know it's a live show, The Hall Of Fame - I just wonder how it's all going to go down. If it goes down, if I'm fortunate enough for it to go down. But yes, it has crossed my mind but I'm living in the present and enjoying what I'm doing now. I've done so much for the WWE. Everything I've done, any movie I've done, any notoriety I have, it's because of them. So I owe them everything. My father, my grandfather, the wrestling business, the WWE in particular, has really given me everything. A lot of happiness, my kids are taken care of, my wife is happy, they get to travel. A lot of pluses come with it, the Hall Of Fame would just be the cherry on top."

Today's News

Jay Lethal talks heat from his parents:

"That automatically reminds me about coming home with bumps and bruises and my mom not being too happy. But I think the only time they've never been happy with something they saw me do on TV was in TNA. The X Division was trying to be destroyed by the Dudley Boys along with Johnny Devine while I was trying to save it with Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin. We had to do this angle where we got beat up by the Dudleys and we ended up having to bleed. My parents saw that and they were like "no way, never again, what is going on here?" But they quickly got over that. I wouldn't call it luck, but there would be certain times where I would bleed accidentally and they weren't freaking out like they were that very first time. So they got used to it. But that was the very first time that they saw something that they didn't like."

I'm making more money than I was with WWE. I've been in some unbelievable matchups. Two are coming up. I love WWE. Just currently there is no incentive. There are some things I would love to be a part of. I would love to be part of the Dusty tag team tournament. At the same time I don't think I'm playing a revenge song here. I don't think I'm ready to move out of the spot of where I'm at."

Linda talks WWE health:

Linda McMahon has addressed WWE not offering it's talent health insurance...

It was hard to be me, which sounds strange, but it was because I got so used to doing my other thing. Things that I had created or morphed into, I almost became. Daniel Bryan tells WWE they need to change:

"I think a change of presentation is absolutely necessary. I think the way that we present our superstars probably needs to change. Years ago they went through with this idea of having as much live stuff as possible on the shows, but I think when you watch say UFC for example, some of the things that are the most endearing, that make you care the most about the fighters are these backstage vignettes that get to show their real personality. You'll see great fights that people will cheer maybe because they're great fights, but the fights that have the most impact are the ones with fighters who people actually care about. I think one of the things that really endeared me to people was that people got to view more aspects of my personality than most because of the different things that I did within WWE. Seeing performers frustrated and being able to show that on TV and being able to show their experiences, their reactions to what's happening to them on the show and doing backstage vignettes. There was a great one on NXT about Roderick Strong recently about being a new dad and all of that kind of stuff. Since I've been gone, they've been doing some really fun stuff with the Fashion Police. Not that there needs to be more of that exact kind of stuff, but it helps people get to know their personalities. I think one of our failings on SmackDown Live was American Alpha. They're great and on NXT they did all of these fun little interview segments with the two of them that got to show the people behind American Alpha. They saw who Chad Gable is, who Jason Jordan is. I'd like to do more of that kind of stuff."

Big Show rants on WWE:

''I hate TVs. TVs, I just want to bash myself in the head with a hammer because they're just long, useless, time-wasting, bulls--t days where you sit around all friggin' day for some idea that absolutely sucks. Debating it for hours and 17,000 inputs. And one or two guys laced up a pair of wrestling boots in their life and know what they're talking about. The others have never laced up a pair and really don't know s--t, but for some reason, they're telling you what to do. So you're just sitting there baffled. We all have that same look at TV, we walk around baffled, going, 'why are we doing this?'

Ryback tells WWE what it will take to get him back:

"One of my requests if I ever go back to the WWE, is my opening night back, I call out all three of The Shield members and beat the s--t out of them, just for the ultimate revenge. A little kid came up in a gas station, and this was when I already knew what was going on, and I just didn't feel like lying to the kid. He goes, he just said, 'Ryback, when are you going to get revenge on The Shield? They get you every time.' And I go, 'sometimes in life, kid, the bad guys just win.' And he just looked at me just completely defeated and he ran off and ran outside no words."

He also opened the door to Impact...

"I like Impact and I want them to have as much success as possible. When the time is right. I'm enjoying life right now. I have my priorities in order and I'm not necessarily in a hurry to get back on TV, so I'm taking care of the shoulder, letting the body just recharge, running my supplement company, my FeedMeMore business and making towns every weekend. The money's great. I'm loving life. So when the time is right, that might be a possibility."
