SmackDown split:

After AJ Styles attacked Shane McMahon on SmackDown last night he was fired by Daniel Bryan. To sell the angle he was moved onto the Alumni roster of the WWE site. However, at the end of the post show recap programme, Shane himself emerged to declare that he would face AJ at Mania. This may lead to tensions between the two managers of the show, as Bryan has been undermined by the over-rule. Whether he is fired or going to Mania will be decided between the two men on next weeks show.

Announcers MIA:

Half of the announce team where missing from SmackDown last night. David Otunga is making a movie and Mauro Ranallo missed the show due to a severe storm in the country, he couldn't travel to the event.

WrestleMania:

As well as Shane vs AJ, SmackDown also confirmed a mixed tag match for WrestleMania. John Cena & Nikki Bella will face The Miz & Maryse.

Austin Aries bt Brian Kendrick, Akira Tozawa, TJ Perkins and Tony Nese to earn a shot at Neville's Cruiserweight title.

Baron Corbin has asked Dean Ambrose for a shot at his IC title.

HBK talks why Taker was not in with the Kliq:

"Taker has always been a calm, cool, and collected guy. But the Kliq? We were loud and obnoxious," Michaels said. "Taker was great friends with Kevin and Scott Hall. We've always got along, too, and clearly now we're closer than ever, but 'Taker had his own crew. He ran with Yoko and the Godwins and some other guys, and we hung out with them a bunch. Scott and I have known each other since the '80s in our days wrestling in Kansas City. I specifically asked to work with Kevin and wanted to have him on my side, so he comes in the door and started riding with me. Everyone knows the story with Hunter—he came in and knew that we weren't well-liked, but he wanted to hang us with us anyway. Scott worked with Sean on his first night on Raw, and he sort of has that Curt Hennig gene in him. Curt always grabbed a young guy and said, 'You're jumping in the car with me,' and that's what Scott did with Sean.''

Batista has joined Hall Of Famer Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone and 50 Cent on the cast of Escape Plan 2.

Hardy confirms status:

Jeff Hardy has confirmed the Hardyz will only be with ROH for a short time, and that he does want to get back to WWE, and hopes his brother will follow, but wants him to continue to enjoy his current gimmick for as long as he can first.

NXT UK:

Triple H has announced a summer NXT tour of the UK, including the Download festival.

Paige:

Paige has regained control of her Instagram, months after losing it to hackers.

Erick Rowan:

Erick Rowan was backstage at SmackDown last night, but did not return to TV.

Cody on TV:

Cody Rhodes will be back on 'Arrow' again this season.

Donald Trump is angry with Snoop Dogg for shooting a toy gun at an effigy of him in his new music video.

More sites are confirming that the WWE HOF is going to be completed without William Regal. They have been announcing a new inductee each week, and with only the celebrity and legacy inductees left, that, if they stuck with that time frame, would bring us up to WrestleMania week.
