Today's News

Money In The Bank:

Two more matches have been added to MITB, Dudley Boyz vs Lucha Dragons and Breezango vs Golden Truth.

Damien Sandow reveals nixed gimmick:

"It was the 80s, a parody of the decade of the 80s in wrestling. And, yeah, we (He and Curtis Axel) were going to go full on Zubaz fanny pack. There was talk of growing mullets and doing the whole deal. Yeah, the whole deal. Again, we were talking about variations of outfits. Needless to say there was a lot of lime green and zebra print. We were thinking about being called The Brothers, but that never came to fruition. But, again, I think fans would have gotten it and it would have been fun."

Rose controversy:

Adam Rose has pulled his mugshot tee after an online backlash. He claims it was his wife's idea to do it, as a way to mark the end of the troubling period in their lives.

HOF heat:

Bushwhacker Luke has revealed the heat he got for being named a WWE Hall Of Famer in 2015...

"We got a lot of negative publicity. Who are these two goons? Most of the wrestling fans didn't know about the Sheepherders or the Kiwis. You know, we first came in 1972 to the USA. Before that, we wrestled all over, including far east Japan. We first came to North American in 1972. None of the fans today knew that."

Orton return:

Randy Orton has been added to the live tour from early August.

Trish Stratus critical of WWE:

"They deserve to be fighting for the Women's Championship. The Divas thing was kind of a weird phase, where it was, focus on the women's appearance and it sucks because there were some very talented women at the time. I'm not ever going to denounce a Divas Champion, because to me, it's still a wrestling champion."

Shane McMahon:

Shane McMahon has had a custom pair of sneakers made, he will wear them on Raw next week.

Older the better:

Dave Meltzer is reporting that WWE are predominantly approaching over 40 year old veterans to return to their roster in time for the brand split. He mocked WWE calling so many old boys to be a part of the ''New Era.''

Nowinski attacked:

Chris Nowinski has been attacked by the Boston Globe for his closeness to WWE, and Triple H, in regards to his concussion foundation. They also criticise his acceptance of a financial donation from his former employers.

He released a long statement defending his links to pro wrestling, and reminding those challenging him that he set the foundation up after his own injury, which came in a wrestling ring in 2003, and to raise awareness of the issue, and by having the world's biggest wrestling promotion on board, he is getting that message out to the greatest possible audience. He also says wrestling is just a part of what his foundation does, and that he works with all sports and with military personnel as well.
