He said Punk black-balled him after he asked for the phone number of a mutual friend of the two men, when he lost his phone. He claims Punk accused him of using their friendship to get to the un-named third guy, even though 'Swoggle and man 3 had been friends for years.

He then blasted the Rock for the WrestleMania 27 incident, where Rock mistook him for a Make-A-Wish kid. This led to a nasty social media exchange between the two at the time, but was apparently later settled. He obviously harbours a grudge still, however.

He says he broached the idea of doing something during that summer, as he was also promoting his appearance in 'Guardians Of The Galaxy', believing WWE would bite his hand off at the chance to have a link between them, and the number one movie of the summer, but said HHH and Steph ''Laughed in his face.''

The incident happened in Germany, and footage had not been released until earlier this year, when someone posted it to YouTube. SCSA remembered the incident on his podcast this week...

"I was just about to celebrate and somebody tackles me from behind and takes me down and starts punching me. I thought it was a rib by one of the boys in the back, but it was a rambunctious fan that was cheering for Triple H and got upset. When you're in the ring with a cat - and I was a babyface, Triple H was the heel - you're always looking out for your guy's back. Triple H - stand up cat - he picked that dude up, slammed him and started punching his lights out!."

Here is the video of the brawl...

Chris Jericho talks retirement:

"I'm 45 years old and pretty soon, I'm not going to want to take any more bumps. But if you look at the arc of entertainment, you can go until you're 75 years old or beyond. There's no limit to what you can accomplish in the world of entertainment. It's all I've ever known since I was 19. I'm writing my fourth book, I'm doing more acting. I'm keeping all those balls in the air. It was a smart move on my part and I'm not going to stop. If I stopped wrestling tomorrow, I'd still be out there providing things for you guys to do to enjoy your lives."

He also praised WWE for banning Roman Reigns, saying the company is saving lives by being firm on their talent's wellness...

''You don't see guys dying young (Anymore).''

Goldberg ready to listen:

Goldberg says WWE have not contacted him, but he is prepared to listen to what they have to offer...

"WWE has not called me to be a part of any roster. My relationship with WWE stands with the video game and the video game only. If they want to extend an olive branch and pick up the phone, then I will make a comment on that once they do it. But prior to that, nothing's been done."

It's a fight and his comeback so I'll send him back to pro wrestling."

CM Punk blasts WWE, talks return to wrestling:

"Back in I want to say, 2011, my contract was up and they were trying to re-sign me and they were trying to re-sign me for lowball figures. It's what they do to the guys. They're indentured servants. They try to pay them the smallest amount of money you could possibly pay them. There's no health insurance. You're responsible for your own travel, your own hotels, your own food on the road. You're home once a day, maybe. I did that 10 years to get to the WWE and then I did it 10 years there, so my gas tank was empty in that regard."

He went on to share his sadness that his friend Daniel Bryan had to stop doing what he loved, but advised that there is more to life than ''Silly'' pro wrestling. He then shared his thoughts on his own wrestling future, confessing that he may come back, but that he will never work for WWE again...

"No, I don't think so. But it is one of those "never say never" things. I like to cover all my bases, just so some internet dweeb is going to be like, 'you said you'd never wrestle again!' But WWE? No. Absolutely not. But you never know, I could pop up here and there. Let me explain that to you even better... it's not going to even be televised, it's going to be me in a ninja f--king outfit wrestling one of my buddies and nobody's ever going to know. It's going to be very 'Monty Python' so to speak."

Hall Of Famer backing brand split:

Trish Stratus says going live with SmackDown, and the returning brand split will be good for WWE...

"I think it's a great move. There is just so much talent right now. They need the two platforms to allow them to develop the talent and help shape these characters. Because of NXT and the opportunity they have been given to grow at the Performance Center, there are many ready to go right now. Today's News

WWE business:

Sandra Toffoloni talks Benoit tragedy:

On Chris' change in personality...

"What really became noticeable was a little bit more of — like a sense of — un-safeness and paranoia for the family. He'd just would like, be constantly checking the alarm at night, constantly be checking things, and for himself. Like when we would go to the gym and do things like that, he would take different ways every time, different routes, The way we would go in the morning is not the way we would go after dinner, and never ever before had that been. He used to be fairly laid back about stuff like that, there was never any issue like that, so when it did start happening I noticed immediately. It was a huge personality change, not crazy-huge where everyone else would notice, but people that was around him a lot would notice. I didn't really understand what was happening and to be frank, I still kind of look back on it…was it a precursor to everything that happened — I don't know."

On why he killed...

"I think that the drugs were a huge contributing factor to what happened. The autopsy said so, I had seen it prior to that — the alcohol and medication, not just the steroids but everything else that had been going on — it was a huge factor. I know that everyone talks about the concussion issue with Christopher, maybe that played a role as well, the autopsy never said he had Alzheimer's, that he couldn't find his way, the things they are saying related to concussions wasn't Chris and wasn't anything I observed ever. That guy could get in and out of an airport in eight minutes flat, and I mean any airport. It wasn't that, it was a combination of a lot of things. A huge boulder of weight from loss and grief, I think it was a ton of medication altering his body chemistry, his brain chemistry, alcohol, everything that was going on at that time. I know there were issues in the house that he was having, again, with himself. Struggling inside with things that are privy to he and I, and my family and my sister, that I wouldn't put on blast for anyone to know. But that coupled with the facts of what I know from being there immediately after that weekend, and seeing everything, it wasn't the act of someone with brain damage. It wasn't, it's impossible for that to have been the case. I understand the necessity to want to put it on something and say, 'this is why he did it, this is the reason right here.' Because the daily pain of not knowing why and not really knowing what happened, is crippling. I can't put it on any one thing; it was a combination of many things, outside factors, and an inner struggle that he had been going through for quite some time after Eddie and everyone else…he almost had this look in his eye — it wasn't more of who's next, it was more of, am I next — in his eyes."

He did though say he would struggle to refuse a return for a match vs Cesaro.

Kelly Kelly says WWE's current women's division is lacking, compared to her era...

"They're putting a lot more focus on the women too, but I feel like they're shying away from the era of what I was, of the models. I don't really feel like there's a fan favorite girl right now. And I don't feel like there really has been... sorry I probably am speaking out of turn... but like AJ was a fav, and you know what I mean, now, right now, I don't feel like there's somebody that the crowd can get behind."

Will Ospreay talks Vader feud:

On the match that caused the issue...

"I generally had no idea it was going to happen because we'd done, I'm not going to say a similar style match, but we'd done some of the stuff we did over in Evolve. And it was just one of those matches where, like, once again, me and Ricochet have been working each other, like, five times now. We know each other's style, We know each other's s--t, so yeah, we just went out there, and as soon as we had done the double handspring backflip, man, we just knew the crowd came on fire. It was like, 'alright, we've got something here'. But for some strange reason, the internet has just gone nuts over this one particular match."

He then addressed Vader's issues, and criticised him for slating a match he admits not actually watching, before adding...

"It's just some people had different perceptions about what wrestling is. The only thing I can relate it to is like I'm a Christian. I believe that there is a God. I believe there is a heaven and hell. And you guys are Buddhist, and you believe in your God. Just because I believe in my thing and you believe in your thing, it doesn't mean you're wrong and I'm right. It's like different styles of music. It's different styles of wrestling."

In my head, I felt like it was at least a two-year process for me to even get in the Octagon, let alone the UFC. • Backlash, September 11th in Richmond (S)
  • WWE Clash of the Champions, September 25th in Indianapolis (R)
  • No Mercy, October 9th in Sacramento (S)
  • WWE Hell In a Cell, October 30th in Boston (R)
  • Survivor Series, November 20th in Toronto (B)
  • TLC, December 4th in Dallas (S)
  • Roadblock, December 18th in Pittsburgh (R)

Key B=Both, S=SmackDown, R=Raw.

This, if confirmed, would see the return of WCW PPV Clash Of The Champions, as a Raw special.

Today's News

WWE returns:

Forbes claim to have gotten hold of the list of stars WWE are contacting about a return to their roster. Rey Mysterio, Kurt Angle, Jeff Hardy, Shelton Benjamin, John Morrison, JTG, Goldberg, and Shad Gaspard, join MVP, Carlito, Stevie Richards and an un-released fourth name (Possibly one of the new ones?) who has already said no about coming back.

A couple of issues with this list, Jeff Hardy is signed to TNA, so will be unlikely to get free in time for the brand split, and JTG has denied he has been approached about a return. Kurt Angle too denies an approach, but has today said he will be coming back to WWE, after having talks with both Triple H and Vince McMahon in the past 6 weeks. He says it will probably be a one off match, and will then get into management, naming American Alpha of NXT as a team he would like to work with.

Raw:

The Wyatt's and Johnny Ace returned on Raw last night. Johnny wanted to get one of the GM roles when the brand split happens, Shane told him he need not apply.

Konnor:

Konnor is back on the road after a 60 day ban.

TNA sign TE star:

Chelsea of Tough Enough, better known as Daniel Bryan's dirty doctor, has signed a TNA deal.

UFC sold:

CM Punk and Brock Lesnar will likely be following the story of the change of ownership of UFC. A deal was reportedly finalised last night for $4.2 billion. UFC have though denied the sale today.

TNA on WWE TV:

AJ Styles talked about TNA and Dixie Carter during a WWE Network interview with Steve Austin last night. He talked about how he was signed, his 11 years with the group, and why he chose to leave, bringing up the pay issues TNA were having at the time.

Paige:

Paige really was arrested on Sunday night, but no charges were filed. WWE are investigating the strange incident, but are allowing her to stay on the road until the facts are determined. She was put into an ambulance, after the arrest, and taken to a hospital, where she was released. Not much is known about the circumstances of the arrest, but she was intercepted by police, who were dealing with another incident close by, when she came running from the Money In The Bank PPV venue and started shouting in the streets. Passers by flagged the police down and informed them of Paige's odd behaviour, and they went to deal with her.

Cody adds name:

Cody Rhodes has added the name of Steve Corino to his list of dream indie matches.

BattleGround:

It was always going to happen eventually. The three members of the former group known as The Shield will compete in a triple threat for the WWE title in the main event of BattleGround next month.

To promote the match Dean Ambrose says he had every intention of cashing in his case right away, even if his buddy Roman Reigns won the match at MITB. He told a radio host that he would have ''Whacked Roman right in the back of his head with it (The case).''

Note... This was before the news about Roman broke (See further down).

Steve Austin reveals why he hated MSG match:

He was recalling his Highway To Hell SummerSlam 1998 main event title defense vs The Undertaker...

"We were out there trying to work our ass off, and prior to that match, I'm not the toughest guy in the world, but I've never been knocked out in my life. And part of the match, I hit the ropes, Undertaker goes for a backdrop, I kick him in his chest, he's going to straighten up and no-sell it, and when he does, the back of his big ass head hits me right under the chin. And, boom! Knockout blow. He flashed me. I went down on the mat. I was knocked out. I was only knocked out maybe two, three seconds. All of a sudden, I'm laying on the mat on my back in Madison Square Garden. Don't know where I am. The referee of that match was Earl Hebner. Earl Hebner looks down at me. He kind of has this little grin on his face. He goes, 'God dang, boy! Are you alright?' I looked up at Earl. I said, 'where am I?' He goes, 'God damn it, boy! You're in the Garden!', so I get up and we continue the match. And one of my biggest disappointments in that match was that we were on our way to a hell of a match and I got knocked out. From that point on, I don't remember the rest of that match! I remember laying on the table. I remember Taker getting on the top turnbuckle and dropping that leg. And I'm thinking, 'we kind of talked about it. I don't know if he's going to do it or not, but I was going to stay there anyway because that's what you do'. But all of a sudden, that's one of the things I do remember about that match was Undertaker taking a courageous bump there and dropping that leg off that top turnbuckle. I'm like, 'alright, this is going to be interesting'. He lands. Everything crashes. We finish the match."

WWE at Cannes:

Stephanie McMahon will speak about WWE's 50 year enduring legacy at the Cannes festival this week. She is in France now, and John Cena will join her on Thursday.

Rougeau getting trial:

23 year old Cedric (Son of Jacques ''The Mountie'') Rougeau will have a WWE trial in September at the PC.

Heel switch:

Original plans had Becky Lynch turning heel on Nattie Neidhart at MITB over the weekend, plans were changed on the night, no word on why.

Diva leaving:

Natalya may be on her way out of WWE. Nothing is certain, but officials are said to be under the impression that she will not sign a new deal when her current one expires, due to the health issues her husband Tyson Kidd is dealing with over his neck injury. This news unfortunately comes on the day Trish Stratus said she would come out of retirement to have a match against the Canadian - American.

John Cena:

John Cena will host the Teen Choice awards on Fox in July.

Roman Reigns:

Roman Reigns has failed a wellness test and has been banned for 30 days. He says he knew what he was doing, and apologised to his fans and family for his error.

Despite the ban the BattleGround match noted above may still happen, as he would be free of the suspension three days before the bout, but he of course will not now be around for the build up angles, so may be pulled.

The fail happened a number of days ago, and is likely the reason he lost the WWE title on Sunday. WWE delayed the ban to allow the title switch to happen, and to set up the next PPV main event.

Top exec quits:

WWE's international chief Gerrit Meier has left his role.
