Today's News

Injury blow for WWE:

John Cena had to withdraw from a live event last night due to injury, WWE offered refunds to fans that asked, but only if they did so before the beginning of the second match.

It is a problem with his eye, according to his planned opponent Randy Orton. Daniel Bryan filled in for him.

CM Punk:

Jim Ross wants CM Punk to return to WWE and have the match vs Triple H and a few others after, before he retires in July...

''I fully understand that Punk is burned out and frustrated but I personally and perhaps selfishly wish that he would perform and steal the show at WM30 before taking his leave and recharging his batteries. That's just the fan in me talking.''

He went on to advise Brock Lesnar to stay with WWE over UFC, and said he wants the match vs Taker to wait until WrestleMania 31, and to announce that Stone Cold Steve Austin would be the debut guest on his soon to launch podcast show.

Mick Foley echoed JR's feelings on Punk, with this Video, he also says he will attempt to talk with the former champion, and hopes to help get him back in time for Mania 30 on April 6...

The general consensus regarding the WWE departure of CM Punk is that staffers are ''Not unhappy'' that he has gone, due to his constant negativity. This according to Dave Meltzer. Vince McMahon is not included in that number, however, he wants Punk back, and is determined to do whatever he can to bring Punk back in. Punk is however refusing to answer phone calls and text messages from the promotion, and is keeping quiet on the situation.

More speculation on his reasons for leaving continues to be offered, some now say he was worried that, with WWE knowing he was planning to retire after his deal ends in July, they would have him do the job at Mania to Triple H, rather than let him get a big win, at his last big show. He was already unhappy about the match, the idea of losing it was a straw too far.

WWE continue to disassociate themselves with CM Punk. After Punk apparently confirmed to producers he would fulfill a TV appearance on a Comedy Central show yesterday, to tape on February 12, WWE have responded today by pulling the other WWE guest booked for the show, The Miz.

Angle blows up at TNA:

Kurt Angle delayed an operation on his knee to work the UK tour, because Jeff Hardy was unable to travel, and Sting had left the company. However it was quite clear that he was too beat up to do anything, so they made the decision to write him out of the rest of the tour on one of the early episodes taped. Someone forgot to tell John Gaburick, he had the creative team rewrite him in for the following episode's taping, to do a run in, and Angle was not happy. Gaburick took the brunt of an epic rant from Angle, and the Olympian did not appear on that episode. He did though return for another episode to tape his TNA Hall Of Fame induction.

Kurt is working against Doctor's orders, and TNA hope he will continue to do so until LockDown is in the books in March, before going off for his surgery, but Angle has been described as being in a very bad way during the UK tour, so it may not go as TNA would hope.

WrestleMania 30:

Brock Lesnar vs The Undertaker and Randy Orton vs Batista are the latest, previously thought to be ''Locked in'' matches, under consideration in a creative meeting. There is some talk of putting Batista against Lesnar instead.

This Could open the door for The Undertaker vs Sting, and Randy Orton vs Daniel Bryan.

Hall Of Famers in Super Bowl ad:

Hulk Hogan and Sgt. Slaughter appear in this ad for Radio Shack...

Bray Wyatt:

WWE are allowing Bray Wyatt to write his own promo's, although he must show creative what he has before they go to air.

WWE Hall Of Fame 2014:

To add to The Ultimate Warrior and Jake The Snake Roberts, this is currently the planned line up for the class of 2014, according to PWI...

* Paul Bearer...

* Scott (Razor Ramon) Hall...

* Cyndi Lauper...

* A ''Big'' Name...

The above ''Big Name'' is being personally worked on by Stephanie McMahon, but no further clues to who it could be have been offered.

This would mean they had dropped the awful idea of inducting the WrestleMania 1 main event match.

Side job for Bella:

Nikki Bella is preparing to take her Real Estate exams, she has been taking classes in San Diego. She has no plans to quit wrestling, but is looking to have an extra source of income during breaks from WWE. Her classmates told TMZ that she was very down to earth during the lessons she attended.
