Luis Alvirde has confirmed that he has been released by WWE, but he may have scored a huge victory over his former employers. He claims he owns the rights to the name and likeness rights of the character Sin Cara, and is demanding that WWE stop using the gimmick. This is the apparent reason for Alberto Del Rio unmasking Hunico on Main Event this week. Alvirde says that that is the last time WWE fans will see the gimmick on WWE TV. It is not clear if Alvirde is trying to force WWE into reopening talks, or if this is just his final FU as he departs, but WWE will not be happy, they planned on keeping the character, blaming the performer for it's failing's not the gimmick, if Alvirde has his way, it seems they will have lost both. Here is what he said... "I am the owner of the persona of Sin Cara. I say it openly because it's all on my side, in my favor. I think that it's best left to lawyers because I am the owner of the persona I am the owner of the [character's] image and I have proof." The interviewer then made a valid point about WWE's history of wanting complete control over names and likeness rights, to which he replied... "That depends on how the wrestler work their deals. I'm not here to talk bad about anyone. I've always been a person that goes the route of peace. I'm not going to fight with anyone or any company. I'm not saying that because I'm scared to fight a big company. No, Why would I? Everyone knows that the original Mistico went on to be [the original] Sin Cara in the WWE. So that we would not have any legal issues with CMLL, I automatically changed my name and my persona and continued on with my registered persona."
WrestleMania 30:
Six matches are set for this years WrestleMania (Possible Rumble SPOILER!!!). * Daniel Bryan vs Sheamus... This would be the third time they have butted heads at Mania, and would likely mean Sheamus returning heel, after his injury lay off ends. * The Undertaker vs Brock Lesnar. The Undertaker's match is locked in, Brock Lesnar is the most likely opponent. (OK... Shaggy... Try not to mark out for this one...) * Ryback vs ? Ryback vs Goldberg is almost certainly dead, due to the former WCW man's financial demands. WWE have lined up another opponent for him... The Ultimate Warrior...!!!. Warrior is said to have agreed to one more match as part of his Hall Of Fame deal, and that match will likely happen at Mania this year. Ryback is expected to be his opponent. * John Cena vs Bray Wyatt. This match was originally to be on the card, for the World Title before the unification of the top belts, then a tag match was planned involving Hulk Hogan, but that match can't happen, due to Hogan failing the WWE medical, so WWE have reverted to the one on one match idea. * Randy Orton vs Batista (WWE World Heavyweight Title). Meaning Batista would probably win the Royal Rumble match. * Triple H vs CM Punk. Richard Sherman has been approached to have a guest appearance at the show, but not a match. Rowdy Roddy Piper has responded to the news of Hogan being unable to compete, by asking for a Piper's pit instead.
Scott Hall says never to WWE:
''Nope, nope, nope. I hope it's never offered to me. He's the man right now, that man being Randy Orton. I love to watch him wrestle. Randy and I have been tight since he was 22. If this was 10 years ago, it would make sense. But I'm 57. I don't want it offered to me because I'll do it. I'm 57, I want to stay strong and healthy.''
TNA:
FW4 have joined Dave Meltzer in claiming MVP will debut as the Mystery investor for TNA next week as their UK tour starts. He still denies joining the promotion. Bully Ray is looking forward to the UK tour, as he is fan of the sports in the country, although not enough to get the name right... "I really am a fan of soccer for one reason and one reason only and that is the passion of the game," said Bully. "It is the passion of the fans, I don't believe that American sports can generate that genuine passion, I believed it's more forced in the United States." The promotion have agreed a number of dates to tape Impact at Universal, but they may not be able to stay there long term, an announcement will be made in the future, the dates are... MARCH 13 – IMPACT LIVE MARCH 14 – IMPACT Taping MARCH 15 – IMPACT Taping APRIL 10 – IMPACT LIVE APRIL 11 – IMPACT Taping APRIL 12 – IMPACT Taping APRIL 26 – One Night Only Taping APRIL 27 – TNA Pay-Per-View Event APRIL 28 – IMPACT Taping APRIL 29 – IMPACT Taping MAY 7 – IMPACT Taping MAY 8 – IMPACT Taping MAY 9 – IMPACT Taping Controversial booker Vince Russo is reportedly back in the creative department. The promotion are trying to resurrect a reality show following the life of Dixie Carter, they are looking for a distributor.
Royal Rumble:
WWE have released a video of the top 100 Royal Rumble eliminations, well actually 99, one of the clips they use is not from a Rumble match. The Mountie vs The Bird Man was a match on the 1991 undercard, although was not on the video release of the event, (In the UK anyway), meaning it does not count as an Elimination. WWE FAIL!!!
Den Of Geek have listed their top 100 moments. SPOILER!!!... Two names approached for a guest spot are 2 Cold Scorpio, WWE want an ECW link, and Tommy Dreamer cannot take a spot after returning to TNA, and Jimmy Wang Yang, whose place was arranged by his friend Batista. 20 spots are locked in, Wade Barrett has been announced, but is not advertised and 5 others are advertised but not officially announced. This leaves up to 10 spots available to be decided on the night.
WWE:
WWE are purging it's YouTube channel of content in preparation for the Network launch. The promotion are also arranging a big launch party episode of Raw on February 24, the night the Network launches. Hulk Hogan, who some say will return at the Rumble, will headline, Shawn Michaels, Kevin Nash and X-Pac are also to be in attendance. Kurt Angle is also expected to be back this year, but WWE medics do not expect him to be able to pass their medical, so are probably more likely to offer him a trainers role at NXT. Sting will also be on the roster in 2014, talks are at a more advanced stage than they have ever been between Steve Borden and the promotion.
Hall Of Famer asks for help:
The Million Dollar Man is asking fans to pray for his Son Mike, who is in jail. (See yesterday)... "Please pray for my oldest son Mike. He's been arrested again and is in jail. Pray that God would break his pride and he would grow up."
Ryback unhappy:
Ryback says he is offended by the return of Batista... ''I'm offended that he's back. I'm the one and only "Big Guy" in the WWE. I go out there each and every night. I work the full schedule. I do all the cool power moves that you don't see anybody doing anymore. I go out there and wrestle for 30 minutes, which you don't see a lot of 295 lb. guys doing. I take a lot of pride in being big and having a lot of endurance and doing things that not everyone can do. So Batista is back, and it's cool from a fan's point of view, and I know he has some lofty goals, but this is my time now. I'm not taking a backseat to anyone. So if we end up in the ring together, it would give me great pleasure to throw him right over the top rope.''
Turn delayed:
Roman Reigns will not be turning face at the Royal Rumble, WWE have pushed the turn back until WrestleMania.
How to get a WWE job:
A WWE insider has revealed how WWE find their talent, and what they look for... "While WWE does look at indy guys in L.A., they must also remember that the non-wrestling athletes and models from the agencies in L.A. almost have a better chance at getting an NXT offer. This is actually beyond a proven fact as the most recent hires are Eva and JoJo, and the whole divas camp in L.A. last January was models with no wrestling experience. So if you train and are a worker in L.A., it's highly suggested that you work other states (Texas, Florida, all up and down the East coast) to help build your resume and get noticed as opposed to getting lost in the mix of models."
WWE Top 10:
Instant Replay's...

Jim Ross predicts Daniel Bryan (Who is not booked for the match) or Batista will win this Sunday's Royal Rumble match. Drew McIntyre says he is thinking about dumping 3MB to take a spot in the match. WWE have released a video of stars remembering their favourite Rumble moments...
Daniel Bryan says he wants to be in the match, but Triple H has blocked him from entering. This is likely a kayfabe excuse, the real reason for his exclusion is his recent concussion. Curtis Axel says he expects to be given a spot. There are only 4 left, maybe 2 if Ziggler and Bryan are cleared, his chances, and that of Drew, are slim IMO.

Filming has just wrapped for the current run of the WWE ''Reality'' show. Roman Reigns has revealed some backstage tensions with the show... "I'll literally be getting dressed or something, I turn the corner, and WHAM there's the cameras. 'Ah, they got me again.' It's like Where's Waldo, you never know where they're gonna be. And for me when I'm backstage, preparing, getting ready, it's not something I wanna be bothered with. So sometimes you'll just randomly hear guys cursing, like that's gonna get them off of the show, like they can't use that scene or something because, 'there's that guy, he's just cussing in the background. A lot of guys just, they all just duck their heads and walk off. So that's something that we deal with but that's the world of entertainment."

He says he believes Brock Lesnar would like to go back to UFC. And that he ended his friendship with TV star Michelle Beadle after the Tribute To The Troops incident, between her, and AJ Lee. Hacksaw Jim Duggan:
Jim Duggan raised so much money from his indiegogo fund for his shoulder surgery, that he also had surgery to his eyes, and now no longer needs eye glasses.
He confirmed to Grantland that the SummerSlam panel, which was ''Hijacked'' by Ric Flair, was the reason WWE dropped him... "I don't think you have to be a Mensa member to figure out that it had an influence on decisions that were made. I was working with the developmental kids [in NXT] and enjoying that, and got called in for that job. It was a very unique night, to say the least. Ric was coming off maybe the most traumatic time of his life. (His Son had died) In hindsight, it might not have been the most timely booking, to get him in that environment. And then you can look at the other side and say maybe it's a good thing to get him out around friends. As it worked out, you'd probably lean more to the former than the latter. But here's the deal: Visit Wrestling Inc.I was conductor of a runaway train. I was supposed to keep it on the tracks and that didn't happen. So I don't have any issues taking responsibility. Did I envision that it would help facilitate my exit? No. But I could see the thinking behind it. But honestly, people might not believe this, and I don't want to give one of those eye-rollers, but it really came at a good time. My health is good, I just celebrated my 62nd birthday, I got a lot of projects going. I'm going to start a podcast soon with the same company that does Austin and Jericho. I'm excited about that. I got Live Nation working with me on one-man shows and, of course, we start out the way we want to start out, in New York City, Saturday, March 1, at the Gramercy Theater." He has now signed with Fox Sports, and will start with a feature on the Royal Rumble.
Ultimate Warrior:
The Ultimate Warrior began healing his rift with WWE last July, when he had a private meeting with Triple H. The company have now officially severed ties with their developmental group OVW. They pulled out on January 15. The secret investor storyline is going to go on right through until October. Kazarian and Christopher Daniels may be the next top stars to leave the promotion, their deals expire in April.

Roddy Piper talks Mania 30 hopes:
"This is WrestleMania 30. I've pinned Hogan once and he's never pinned me. From a fan's perspective, and WWE Universe and Vince, it never had closure. The business that would be done, the interviews and stuff would be coming from the heart. We could try to outraise the bar of the WWE entertainment machine in our sport, if they let us go toe to toe and don't script us. The fans will see really how it got started and why, and then they'll see the conclusion. They are asking can I get in shape. I am already in shape! They are asking Hogan. But there is a fear, I guess, of whether we can pull off the performance."
WWE TV:
WWE have agreed a deal with Fox8 in Australia to air Raw live, starting February 4.

Warrior vs Jake:
The Ultimate Warrior's PR man has rubbished Jake The Snake's apology yesterday, with... "@JakeSnakeDDT More likely you let your guard down and the real Jake surfaced. Smart business move as usual. Your whole act is a scam." No word directly from the Warrior.
Jimmy Wang Yang:
Jimmy Wang Yang has attended a couple of WWE shows in the past couple of days, and is now teasing an on screen appearance, saying he looks forward to finding out his number on Sunday, referring, of course, to the Royal Rumble. Chris Jericho and Sheamus will both be in town for the Rumble this weekend, at a convention, could be a coincidence... Or...???
Ziggler reveals reason for de-push:
It was an interview about Randy Orton that caused Dolph Ziggler's burial on WWE TV around SummerSlam last year... This is what he said... "I've made it clear; I'm not patient at all - several times. I've been very vocal about my position on the card and in the company. I'm not trying to say 'Hey, everybody sucks and I'm great!' But I love doing this, and at some point you go 'OK, It's not my time right now and I got to figure something out' And when it's time, that's when I must go out there and make as huge of an impact as I can and let everyone know 'I dare you to follow that, I dare you try something better.' And when they don't (counter or match what I'm doing in the ring) I'm very outspoken about it and it can get me into very hot water (with the company). Then you never know where we're going. Everybody can be just so outspoken about taller guys, and guys like Randy Orton being the face of the WWE, the WWE Championship. I dare you to put me in a back alley with Randy Orton or someone like that. I guarantee I'm not afraid of someone taller." He was also critical of John Cena in candid interviews around the same time, the issue here maybe the threat of violence against Orton IDK.
Batista:
As of this writing, and despite the advertising botch that spoilt Batista's planned surprise Rumble return, he is still penciled in to win the Royal Rumble match, and to go on to face the WWE World Champion at Mania. Also, in an interview, he says he needed the break from WWE after breaking his back in his last WWE match in 2010, and that the resulting surgery saved his life. And his movie career will also continue, he has landed a horror movie, that will also star Brooke Hogan, entitled LA Slasher, here is the blurb... ''Incensed by the tabloid culture which celebrates it, the L.A. Slasher publicly abducts a series of reality TV stars, while the media and general public in turn begin to question if society is better off without them."
Mae Young RIP:
Mae Young's funeral is today, safe journeys Mae, thank you again.
WWE sign deal:
WWE have signed a multi year book deal with DK publshing.
Ric Flair:
Ric Flair has pulled out of an appearance to go to the Rumble, he will be on the panel. He was to be a guest starter at a motor race this weekend. Triple H told Flair he would need to deal with his issues before the company would use him again, but they made an exception for old school Raw, and he was on his ''Super best behaviour'', so offered him the guest spot at the Rumble. His issues are not over, he still has an arrest warrant outstanding on him in Carolina, and has a court case in the state later this month.
"Well, I would love to give you an opinion, but I am clean and sober from WWE programming for several years now, and I do read what is going on, but it seems like it's more of the same. In my opinion, he was never the star, he was always the guy that worked with the guy that drew the money, and he continues to push his boring self down the people's throats. You know, what more can I say, I haven't seen it first hand, but at least he got a haircut." He went on to remember the late Owen Hart and British Bulldog... "You know Owen and Davey together, Davey Boy Smith, they were like two children. They just had to top each other. We would be doing promos, we would be standing there in front of the camera and all of a sudden I'd look to the left of me and Owen all of a sudden was two inches taller than both me and Davey, and we were all sort of the same height. You would look down and he would be standing on a roll of duct tape. Then you look over and Bulldog would be about three inches taller and he'd be standing on a box. Then I'd look down because I'd feel something and while we were standing there staying concentrated on the camera, Owen had one of those spray bottles and he would spray the front of my pants, so it would look like I had p*ssed myself on camera. If Owen or Davey, either one if they came to you and gave you a million dollars, you'd be looking for the printing press. It had to be a rib. It got to the point where they ribbed so much, that nobody would believe anything."

WWE Alum Shelton Benjamin had his elbow surgery yesterday, and is now back at home.
John Cena wants more openness:
John Cena told the Huffington Post that he ''Encouraged'' more closeted homosexual wrestlers to follow the lead of Darren Young last year, none have, that I am aware of.
Royal Rumble feature:
WWE.Com has interviewed the inventor (Pat Patterson), and some of the original line up of the first Royal Rumble match, about it's creation, the concept, it's longevity and more.
Jesse Neal wrestled in Florida for USWA last night, and followed his match with a promo that sounded to some in attendance like a retirement speech. The newly married, and soon to become a father for the first time, former TNA man said he wanted to focus on family matters.
WWE vs TNA:
Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards have signed one year, non exclusive TNA contracts. They can continue to wrestle on the Indy scene, as long as they inform TNA of the dates, but will not be able to work TV's, IPPV events, or shows taped for DVD release for any other promotion, during the deal. TNA are putting out stories that Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards turned down a longer try out with WWE to join them, that is not the case, HHH turned them down after an NXT trial match.
NFL star to WWE?:
WWE have a poll on their website asking fans if an NFL star, named Richard Sherman, would make a good WWE supertsar, and users of the page have voted in the positive. Some, DDP included, have called on WWE to bring him in for a match at WrestleMania vs another NFL star named Michael Crabtree.
Royal Rumble:
The Rhodes Brothers vs The New Age Outlaws has been added to the Royal Rumble card, unfortunately (For me, at least) as the pre show match. The Tag Titles will be on the line. Daniel Bryan vs Bray Wyatt has been added to the card (More on this later). However a planned double duty spot, where he would return later in the Rumble match has been ruled out, they do not want to overly exert him. Additions to the Royal Rumble include Luke Harper, Erick Rowan, Damien Sandow, Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso. 9 spots left... Advertised, but not confirmed are Ryback, Titus O'Neill, Darren Young, Jack Swagger and Antonio Cesaro. Wade Barrett has been pulled from ads for the match. AJ Lee vs Naomi (Diva's Title) is penciled in as an extra match, time pending. CM Punk will be Number 1. The pre / post show panel will be, Josh Matthews, Hacksaw Jim Duggan, Ric Flair and Shawn Michaels.
Jim Ross:
Jim Ross is close to signing up to join Fox Sports.Com, he has already joined Fox as a columnist.
Raw notes:
Batista made his return, interrupting an Authority / Randy Orton promo, and told Orton he plans to win the Rumble and to take The WWE World Heavyweight Championship from him, or whoever has it at WrestleMania. Daniel Bryan was tested backstage before the show after suffering a concussion on the previous weeks Raw. The injury was found to be less severe than first thought, and he was cleared to compete, so WWE have reinstated the planned match for him vs Bray Wyatt. Bryan also announced Wyatt's Followers, Harper and Rowan would be in the Rumble match, which is strange for me. I could understand having them in there to help Wyatt win, without Wyatt, they are just filler IMO. CM Punk was made number 1 in the Rumble match as punishment for attacking Kane. I have a feeling Kane may be Number 2, I think WWE are using Kane vs Punk as a stepping stone to Punk vs HHH at Mania. Despite being #1, Punk is still my pick to win. A tribute video was played for Mae Young and received a really disappointing response from the crowd. As in the past, fans in the Nutter Center were admitted into the arena as much as 45 minutes late, this meant WWE had no time for a post show match. Jimmy Wang Yang was backstage.
Mean Gene Okerlund on Mania 6:
Hall Of Famer Mean Gene Okerlund has revealed that Hulk Hogan did not want to lose the WWF Title to the Ultimate Warrior at WrestleMania 6 in 1990, and added he feels, he was right, based on how Warrior's title run went... "Well, you know, I really tend to go with the feelings of the company. I was told this was gonna happen and this is the way it's gonna be. We did interviews actually before the event, not that I'm letting the cat out of the bag, I would say that Hogan was against that move at that time... and he was probably right." He also said he had a hunch that WWE fans would be seeing Hogan ''shortly''. Hogan's return story has now been finalised.
The Ultimate Warrior posts strange message:
He tweeted... "Question for former talents now "hypocrite" born-again Christians. Where do we go to find you practicing the beliefs of Christianity? Hell? One a-hole instills honor and pride, The other horror and pity, One grows wise on great stories. One reads bathroom stalls and still grovels" This could be a reference to Jake The Snakes comments about Warrior yesterday, but I don't know for sure, however Jake feels it was about him, writing... "My guys showed me Warrior's tweets. I was trying to be entertaining with the radio show and took things too far, like I do too often. I have no business inferring anything negative about him. I apologize. He deserves the HOF and respect for what he accomplished in the business. But let me be clear. There is no hypocrisy here. I am not preaching anything. I am sharing my recovery path to show others what is possible. So no pity, bathrooms stalls or groveling. I am doing great. I am an addict and alcoholic working every single day to repair and make the best out of the life I have left. I make mistakes, like that comment, but my recovery has been amazing. Jim does not know this Jake. Without realizing or intending to, I fired the first shot and will take Jim's response without any negativity towards him. I apologize and am putting behind me." This is what Jake originally said... "Like you know, what the hell man; Koko B. Ware's there [in the Hall of Fame] and I'm not? Are you serious? Geez. Warrior? Christ, man. That really hurts... but maybe they're taking in a$$holes and not great talent. I don't know."
Ken Shamrock blasts WWE:
Ken Shamrock wants to know why WWE have blacklisted him from returning to WWE, adding that he wants a chance at the WWE title... "First of all, I want people to realize that it is hard to see all the old stars come back to Hall of Fame stuff and me not be included in all these things. I accomplished more than anyone in 2 years at WWF and I was part of one of the biggest match that started the attitude era with Bret Hart vs. Stone Cold. That match changed wrestling to what it is today. There is not a peep from anyone within WWE. I don't know why they won't give me a shot in the WWE and to challenge for the WWE title. I have reached out through many different types of media and the only thing I've heard back is that they're doing okay and don't need me. I say that if you're gonna be bringing people back from the attitude era and before that then I don't understand why you wouldn't bring me back. There seems to be a black mark against me and I don't understand it." Personal Note, I liked Shamrock, but did he have a HOF career?, he had some good matches, and feuds, but he wasn't around long enough for me.

WWE Alum Maryse has congratulated AJ Lee for breaking her Diva's Title record, in conversation with WWE.Com... "I'm actually really proud of AJ for doing that. Congratulations to her. It's a lot of work to have the title for that long. I always loved AJ's interviews. I think she's really entertaining. I love people that can talk and have personality. Right now, my life is not focused on wrestling, but I'm proud of what I accomplished. No matter what, I'm still the most bada$$ Diva of all time. You can't take that away from me." She also said she has no plans to return to WWE at this stage of her career, but may be open to something in the future.
Jim Ross on new WWE Titles:
Jim Ross says he does not like the idea of bringing back the Women's / Diva's Tag Team Championship... "At the moment, I'm not overjoyed by the potential of a Divas Tag Championship but I'm willing to see how it evolves over time if it happens." And on missing WWE... "I miss being around a lot of my friends in WWE and people that I built relationships with over the last many decade. If you've lived in a certain community or been an inhabitant of an area and you move away, you certainly miss people. You miss the adrenaline rush that came with the great moments. I got very busy and found a lot of things that people were interested in me doing within a matter of days of me leaving WWE. So I really haven't had time or enough empty days that I would sit around and bemoan the fact that I am no longer in WWE. I miss it and had a great run there, over 20 years."

"For the record, I am STILL very much a free agent and have not signed any contracts with anyone. That is official. If I DO sign a contract with a wrestling company, you'll hear it from ME. No speculation necessary."
Raw:
Tonight Batisa returns to WWE. Here is the official tease for the show... * Will Brock Lesnar break his own rule and fight for free? * Will Batista go after Alberto Del Rio? * Is the gruesome Daniel Bryan & Bray Wyatt rivalry coming to a head? * How will John Cena react to Randy Orton attacking his father? * Has "The Big Red Monster" Kane been resurrected?
Warrior vs Vince:
Two letters between The Ultimate Warrior and Vince McMahon that led to the former WWF Champions release post SummerSlam 91 have been leaked onto the internet. Vince always claimed that the Warrior made financial demands, and threats to no show the PPV, forcing him to agree to his terms. He suspended him as soon as the show ended. Here is the letter the Warrior wrote to Vince setting out what he wanted... "Vince- Writing this is a different approach in expressing my feelings about the things we discussed the last 2 days under the pressure of TV. knowing that any second someone would be knocking on the door, etc. Every other avenue we tried - via phone, face to face, myself still walking away with unanswered questions. Always put off till a later date. Always with the same result - no result. Writing sometimes allows a person to express feelings or say things that don't come in conversations such as we have. Some of the things will once again become repetitive - so what I've heard "in an Essence" at least a million times. I've tried to speak as a friend but sometimes you don't hear. I've spoken as a professional but the direction always gets changed. No you never let me leave with-out a response, but the words you speak never have any definitives. My whole life for the last 5 years has had no room for anything but definitive (Los Angeles on Thurs, San Diego on Friday, San Francisco Sat. Sacramento on Sunday, Prime Time on Monday...) but you always have to have the best way of time. Time to say stew things over to work them your way. I have been from day 1 different from the others. I have sacrificed myself enough both in my personal life and physical well being. The fairness you say you want everyone to have is unfair to me. I grew in 5 (five) years to become what the "Ultimate Warrior" is today, Always questioning, but nonetheless taking him in the direction you wanted him to go at any particular time. Done what would and has taken other 10-15 years. The points and suggestions you have made over the last 5 years were very well taken. Now I look at other individuals with less than 1/3 the creativity, desire and hunger I had (have) and wonder how you can look and see them as The One. For you as a friend I pray all the things you believe in rise to the surface and present themselves. Then there is the side that says "What the f man?" When I was thought of as The One the topics of conversation were - "Treat the veterans with respect". The veterans you spite are the very ones who will f--k it up for you. No matter I listened. I would go to ring push myself to the brink of a heart attack and you would say "When you go to the corner - SMILE?!?! you spoke of the Ultimate Warrior appealing to all, old, young, ugly, beautiful, fat, skinny, black, white. A character who would show ups and downs emotions and intensities, sensitivities and cold-heartedness when it was needed. Like a yo-yo I obliged so I could be The One. Where the hell are this man's ups and downs. - Total jugular-vein popping yelling at all times. Is this the Total Picture, character, or presentation that can be The One? I learned with you to show intensity at this level but also to show just as much intensity with the look of my eyes or with the whisper of my voice or even better - extreme intensity in total silence. I did all you asked. The the long-term plan changed. At first I was reluctant for what I believed were the right reasons - but once again I went with what I knew I could believe in - "Vince has never f--ked me" I dealt with what you thought was best no matter what the cost to me. , no matter the countless # of sleepless nights there were to come, no matter the # of times I had to knock on your door with questions I should never have had. For the last 2 1/12 years I should have never had the questions I did. To stand and make a videotaped apology for something I never did made me realize all we have is business. Once again I went without sleep, if ever I do so again it will be because I elect to, not because my wandering mind says to do so. In reaching this conclusion I ask for these things. You say 500,000 for Wrestlemania is unfair, then I say the last 8 1/2 years of not being compensated equally when I meant as much or more to the company was total bulls--t and most definitely unfair. I have sacrificed more than 500,000 more than 1 million dollars, even more in monies that should have been paid to mein receiving equal compensation as Hulk. I paid my goddamn dues long ago. I need not pay anymore. I have given everything and never once was there a knock on my f--king door. Whether to bulls--t as a friend or help me thru my times of need or you trusting me to help you thru yours. I ask for these things Vince and the answers must come for the next event is upon you. It has been for me the 5 years and for you to tell me you need to evaluate whether or not I'm cost-effective and this takes time us unfair. A show runs at a given time and date - I have always been there, never asking for time to see if I have the rest, food or whatever it takes to make it. Now I ask the same of you. I want (1) $550,000 release from the monies allotted me to purchase my home. This will suffice as my Wrestlemania VII payoff, but let it be noted it is not fair. I meant as much or more to that show as Hulk - I deserve to be paid the same (I know what Hulk will get) (2) 4 days off every other time off period - except Pay Per View only. (3) I want the same pay cut as Hulk gets on all Pay-Per-Views, SNME, FRIDAY PRIMETIME, house shows and proof as such. The same pay cut applies to what Hulk has been paid with relationship to past events Wrestlemania V, VI, VII i.e when Hulk was top draw. (4) I want numbers and proof of monies done on 1-900-Hulk and likewise same pay cut. (5) Same pay cut on all forms of merchandising. Because I have had to always knock on your door Words alone are not good enough. I understand Doug Sages is on Vacation, call him take his days off away like you do to the boys and myself and have it written. Everytime I had to knock upon your door upon leaving I have always apologized. I no long feel I have any reason to apologize, Therefore I will not. I have tried to speak as a friend, but maybe I don't have the qualities you required to seek me out as a friend. The videotaped apology was the icing on the cake - you see it as business so whether I like it or not I must do the same. Whatever your decision I can and will live with it Till then I remain home with one who cares -Jim" And here is the response from McMahon... "Dear Jim: "This letter is in response to your facsimile to me of July 10, 1991. 1. You will be paid an aggregate amount of $550,000 (five-hundred-fifty-thousand) for your participation in WrestleMania VII. 2. With the exception of special events only, you will receive four days off every other time off period. 3. Your pay rate on house shows will increase to 4-5% of the net, effective immediately, with the understanding that no other WWF athlete will be paid at a higher rate. Likewise, no other WWF athlete will be paid at a higher pay rate than you on pay-per-view events. 4. Effective immediately, your royalty rate on all forms of merchandise is to be increased. The specific amount will be determined in writing within one week. 5. Your compensation for the Warrior 900 hotline will be identical to that of the Hulk 900 hotline. Likewise, documentation for this will follow in writing within one week. I regret the turmoil you've put yourself though and your agonizing over what you feel is fair compensation. And even though we have a difference of opinion over some of these matters, I am resolved to work with you in the same honest and equitable way that I always have. Furthermore, I would like to express to you my deepest appreciation and admiration for you as a performer, as a member of the WWF family, as a man and as my friend. - Vince" Jake The Snake slams Warrior: When asked about Ultimate Warrior going in the HOF, he said... ''I know, man! I know that. But maybe they're taking in a$$holes and not great talent. I don't know'' And then, after being asked if he felt he deserved induction... ''Well, whether you deserve it or not is not up to me man. And my life isn't dependent upon that. If it doesn't happen this year, maybe it'll happen next year. I can only hope. I'm not going to let that take me down, man. Where as before, I could think of any reason to get high. 'I didn't get this; I didn't get that; they screwed me over this; they screwed me over that.' Yeah, yeah, yeah. I can fabricate any bulls--t. But right now I'm just stating what's the truth. The truth is I'm not in there and that's okay. That's okay. Look, I came back to Raw, brother! And I stole the f'ing show.''
