Today's News

WWE fans gadget gripe:

WWE fans that use the Amazon home device have complained that it goes off every time the name of Alexa Bliss is mentioned on WWE TV. The device is a voice activated gadget that answers when the user says the name 'Alexa.'

ROH more exciting than Mania:

Bully Ray says his ROH debut was more exciting than competing at WrestleMania, but could have been even better...

"Ring of Honor reached out to me I think the day after I left WWE. They were actually interested in bringing in both me and D-Von into Ring of Honor, which would've been insane. D-Von had made a life decision where he wanted to devote a little more time to his family and physically in the ring wanted to slow it down just a little bit. I still have gas in the tank. I think Ring of Honor was the perfect place for me to continue as Bully Ray."

Cody enters bullying debate:

Cody Rhodes is the latest star to defend JBL...

"I worked really closely with JBL on the JBL and Cole Show because he let me take it over for three months. And I've known JBL since I first got there in 2007, but the thing is, I never encountered that with John at all. Wrestling isn't for everybody though. It's not bullying sometimes when it's just playful ribbing. But I thought Mauro was a cool guy. I thought John was a cool guy. I never personally saw any bullying the entire time, and I was there for 11 years, and in every locker room. Did I see some ribbing? Yes. Did I see some young guys bringing beer into the locker room on their very first tour, at the end of the tour out of respect? Yeah! I saw stuff like that, but I never saw any bullying."

Rene Dupree did not agree, saying if he ever went back he would break his neck...

"Go watch the movie Dazed and Confused. It has a character played by Ben Affleck, who basically flunked himself out of high school for the sole purpose that he can come back and haze the young kids coming from junior high and hit him with the stick. That's the best description I can give of JBL. He never personally does anything but he gets like people under him, like the military a lower ranking person, to do his dirty work for him."

Chris Jericho reflects on last and best run:

"The original plan was for me to finish after Wrestlemania. Then Vince had the idea for me to stay through April 30th and then May 1st and then May 2nd …so it's a little bit crazy. But yea I think it's fun. We had a break for about a year and a half with Fozzy so getting back in the room with the guys and just rehearsing and playing Judas for the first time live, it's really exciting. It takes me right out of the WWE world and straight to Fozzy world very quickly, which helps because I don't even really remember what happened on Smackdown. It's a little bit crazier than I expected. Not to pat yourself on the back, but if you ask me 'Was this the best run of my career' that's not for me to answer, it's for the fans and the people who watch the shows to decide. It's definitely one of my favorites, top two along with the the Shawn Michaels feud and that era of Shawn Michaels, Rey Mysterio, Big Show was my partner. This year, I would like to say that we were geniuses and we thought to do this from the start and orchestrated the whole thing, but it just was all very organic. The whole partnership with Kevin Owens, the whole 'list, stupid idiot' all that stuff it just became a thing much to my surprise to be honest with you. And Bully Ray will tell you this, when you catch lightning in a bottle in the wrestling business, you gotta run with it because you never know if it's going to happen again. So as soon as everything really started getting over last March, we knew that we really weren't doing much with Fozzy and the guys were doing another Stuck Mojo record so I said 'Listen, I'm just gonna stay in WWE for 2016, I'll take a break from the road with the band. I think it was a pretty fun route because it just kept getting better and better even up until SmackDown on Tuesday. It was a great way to end the saga between Owens and Jericho because it started organically and then we went through the whole ups and downs and all this other stuff and turning on each other and then finally getting the surprise win on Sunday [Payback] and then having him take me out, kill the "knight in shining armor' on Tuesday I think was a fitting end and a nice way to kind of button everything up."

NXT women:

WWE have signed one of the most important women in wrestling, Kairi Hojo, to a three year deal. They had been in secret talks with her for a number of months.

A jobber got a huge pop at a live last night when she performed a unique offensive maneuver. Bianca whipped Ruby Riot with her long ponytail.

WWE competition:

WWE are giving 200 copies of their Now, Then, Forever collection to fans that send them pictures at a comic book store tomorrow. It is free comic day.

WWE cheap seats:

WWE's show in Norwich had white plastic garden chairs for fans to sit in, which was widely mocked on social media, drawing a response to defend them from Triple H himself.

Melina miserable:

Melina says her time with WWE was worse than high school...

"I talk to people now, and they thought I was so confident. I was doing all this awesome stuff onstage, and they didn't realize I was going through so much loneliness and hurt backstage. It was like high school."

Gargano did it:

Johnny Gargano made a tweet three years ago today, saying he had set himself a number of goals he planned to achieve by this date. He confirmed he has hit all of the goals, including making it to WWE and getting married.
