Darren Young blasted on social media:
Darren Young was rounded upon for working Raw last night. Fans say, as an openly gay man, he should have boycotted the taping, as there is a political skirmish over the rights of gay and trans gender people in the state, over what is being called the ''Bathroom Bill.'' Politicians are against the use of public rest rooms by people born of the opposite sex than they live their lives as. So, a man living as a woman would have to use the men's room, even if they were dressed in women's clothes. This is obviously very upsetting to the community, and many celebs have boycotted shows in the state of North Carolina as a result of the bill. Darren Young did not, he said he refused to allow the ignorance of politicians to stop him doing what he loved to do.
WWE also released an audio statement backing calls to revoke the bill.
