He may never fight:
CM Punk is making little progress, and UFC may cut their losses, and drop him. That is the view of UFC officials, according to Dave Meltzer. UFC reportedly only signed Punk for his name value, but the longer he goes without actually fighting, that name value decreases. Sources close to Punk's camp say he is working very hard at learning the new sport of MMA, but he is showing very little progress, and UFC are said to be losing patience. Meltzer's sources claim that if he has not fought before the end of 2016, he will probably never get into the cage. Concerns are Punk's first opponent will destroy him, and make a mockery of the decision to sign him in the first place.
