Today's News

WWE returns:

WWE have put more flesh on the bones of the story of injury returns. Seth Rollins will be making his WWE movie until early June, but returns right after filming completes. John Cena is scheduled back on May 30, and Bray Wyatt will be back within 30 days, but will not be able to wrestle for a few more weeks after that. Other stars will return here and there within the next five weeks, including Randy Orton.

WWE release legend:

WWE Alum, 30 year veteran, and backstage producer, the Brooklyn Brawler was released by WWE last week. The company did not make an announcement about his departure, and neither did the man himself, but the news has now broken. No reason for the decision to release the iconic jobber has been made public, but it is a strange one as they were considering him for Hall Of Fame two years ago.

Uncertainty for CM Punk:

As UFC approach their landmark 200th PPV, the owners of the MMA group are reportedly looking to sell up. Four bidders have expressed an interest in the company, and bids range from $3.5 - $4 million. CM Punk is booked to debut for UFC at the 200th show, what happens after may depend on who wins the upcoming bidding war. Talks are at an ''Advanced'' stage.

Dana White mocked the story, and denied the reports, but ESPN are adamant that it is legit, citing five different, and independent, sources.

WWE star arrested:

Adam Rose was arrested in the wee small hours of this morning, for alleged domestic battery, and tampering with a witness. Police did not set a bond, and as of this writing Rose is still in a Florida jail. He and his wife had gotten into an argument and he grabbed her around the face. She decided to call the cops, but he, not liking the idea, took the phone from her, to try to stop her making the complaint against him. Police attended the scene, and he admitted he did do what she accused him of.

He is of course currently banned from WWE for a drugs fail. That, coupled with this, could see the end of his WWE career. WWE now have a morals clause in talent contracts, and could potentially use this as his third and final strike. The promotion have declared that they have zero tolerance to domestic violence and have suspended him indefinitely.

XFL:

Jonathan Coachman has revealed he is working with Vince McMahon and Jim Ross, to make a special reliving the much reviled WWE attempt at launching an American football league.

Bubba bites back:

A fan suggested to Bubba Ray Dudley, on Twitter, that WWE only brought his team back to destroy their legacy. Bubba says he and D'Von are there to raise the game of the current tag wrestlers, to keep tag wrestling relevant for years to come.
