Angry Hunter:

HHH was less than impressed with having Vinnie Mac's ''Blood & Guts'' jibe at AEW thrown back at him in response to a media question after NXT's PPV this weekend. A writer referenced a cut on the back of Adam Cole, using the term, and asking how HHH justified it. He responded furiously...

"When you say there was very little blood, you mean none. There was no blood. Honest to God, you're going to call me out on that? When he gets scraped on a table... No, no, honest to God, you're digging deep reaching for this one. I gotta tell you guys, there was nothing in that cage, except for the barbed wire at the top, which didn't get used. Did not get used. There was nothing in the cage that you haven't been seeing on TV in WWE consistently, so to say this is some kind of... man, you guys gotta get off your conspiracy theories and stuff, you're digging here but you're making yourself look stupid. You're digging hard for something that ain't there. What did he say? Blood and guts. Blood - did you see blood? Intentional blood. I'm asking the question... right, you just answered the question. You just answered the question. There wasn't any, so what you're digging for isn't there. The ridiculous thing of this is that there was nothing in there that you have not seen. Barbed wire as a deterrent from people leaving the cage, did not get used. Nobody intentionally bled. There was on blood anywhere. There were chairs, there were kendo sticks, it's all stuff that... different pliers, they weren't needle nosed, but if you want to go there maybe those were different. What else was different? What was the gore and the guts that we went to, that's making you say this is a different turn?".

Angry Alum:

Jack Swagger was left furious at the non performance of Goldberg at SummerFest (Whatever that is)...

"Maybe if u have a match on #summerfest, u should actually be able to work a match. @Goldberg. I'm tired of this s--t..."

SD20:

Hulk Hogan, Undertaker and Sting are just some of the legends named for the 20th anniversary episode of SmackDown for October 4.

Raw tease:

  • Rollins once again slays The Beast
  • The Miz and Dolph Ziggler to face off tonight
  • What's on tap next for The Man?
  • Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross to defend the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships against The Kabuki Warriors on Raw
  • Can The O.C. remain "Too Sweet" after SummerSlam?

Ryback buries ''Friend'':

Ryback has warned WWE that their new producer, Pat Buck, will not be trustworthy, and will sell backstage stories to the highest bidder, without hesitation...

"He does have a good wrestling mind; he has a great wrestling mind. So, I'll never take anything away from him on that end. But the type of human being he is…WWE has to be very careful about him because he leaks stuff out and is all about money."

This said about a guy he has had a 12 year friendship with.

"It's a marquee match, right? It's like a dream match, you have two of the most decorated females in WWE history facing off. It's just so unique, what are the chances you could get this? I feel like, in five years, I could only bring you 80 percent, I can't give ya 110 percent. I'm bringing 110 percent on Sunday, if I'm able to. So, I think we've caught it at the right time. Ya know, it's my final match. I feel like this is it and this is a perfect moment to have my final farewell."

Big E. refuses White House trip:

Big E. says he and his New Day partners, would not welcome an invite to visit the White House, home of WWE HOF'er, Donald Trump...

"We are not a big fan of what's going on with this administration, and I can't say it's something I'd be excited to do. I have no desire to go to the White House currently. We have a lot of problems in our country... it's a beautiful country and there is a lot to celebrate, and applaud, just a lot of the rhetoric that comes out of The White House is something we're obviously not supportive of. I have no desire to go to The White House any time soon. ... When there's a man in The White House that we really respect, then I think there might be an opportunity to go. I don't think there's any invitation that's going to be extended any time soon anyway, so I don't think that's really a concern."

NWA returning to TV, Bayley vs WWE, Another PPV match dropped, Next years Slam venue named, and more...

NWA TV:

Billy Corgan has announced a weekly TV show for his NWA promotion.

Yes! Yes! Yes!:

Kofi Kingston says Daniel Bryan paved the way for his current success...

"Bryan is the unsung hero. And he's done a lot for guys who are undersized but showed they can still be cast in this top guy spot. He's done it so well for a very, very long time. And Bryan went through that identical journey I did to get to WrestleMania. He was badgered and blocked by The Authority and called a B-plus player, that was his story, and it became mine, too. We don't get a lot of shine in main events, we're not 6'8" and 300 pounds, so the fact that he was my opponent was poetic. I have a whole lot of respect for Bryan and the boundaries he's been able to break."

Bayley critical of WWE:

Bayley has confessed disappointment in the WWE Women's Tag titles...

"I just wish they were defended more. And that was our goal, to try and bring them to life and everything and we didn't really get a chance to do what we wanted with it. But, we thought the IIconics would have a chance and then they kind of didn't. So I just see so much potential in the tag titles and I still haven't given up on them. If it's Nikki Cross and Alexa Bliss who actually get time to grow the titles, then I'm happy with that. As long as they get out there and they're represented how they should be, I'll be happy."

Slam match dropped:

SmackDown fans may have noticed a second planned match for this weekends SummerSlam PPV happened, instead, on TV. Sami Zayn vs Aleister Black, followed the Women's Tag four way from Raw in being brought forward to TV rather than happening at the PPV.

SummerSlam 2020:

The Globe in Boston will host next years summer WWE PPV.

'Fast' feud:

Actor Tyrese Gibson has mocked the lackustre debut of the Rock's spin-off 'Hobbs & Shaw...

"I have to show my respects for one thing … He tried. Folks called me a hater … And attacked me for speaking out … Breaking up the family clearly doesn't have the value that one would assume it does … You know what maybe just maybe … The Rock and the crew will come dance with us again for #Fast10. We can all hug it out and get back to giving the true fans who have supported this franchise for 20 years WHAT they want … No hating I'm just pointing out the facts. In this day and age where everyone wants to be safe and sit on their hands and not speak on real s**t … When you do get attacked and well … That's that. Again my respects cause he tried his best … The world is clearly used to being severed its Thanksgiving meal a certain way … they want the table to 'include' all its flavors and all of its usual ingredients."

Slam match dropped to TV, New champs, SummerSlam change, Big red return, and more...

Slam match on TV:

A plan to have four way for the Women's Tag at SummerSlam was dropped last night. The match was on Raw instead. The match and titles were won by Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross.

McIntyre talks preferred finish:

"I've got to wear my opponent down enough where it calls for it. It's a case where I can do it to everyone. I know I can do it to Braun Strowman. But to actually get someone worn down enough to get hooked into the Reverse Alabama Slam takes a second. With the Claymore, as you've seen over the past, it hasn't been years, but a year and a half I've been back — it can come from literally anywhere, and I think I've hit more of my Claymores on the floor outside the ring than I have inside the ring. I'm 6'5 legit — with my boots on I'm about 6'7 — and at 265-270 [pounds], and when I'm coming at you full speed, kicking through the air and kicking you in the face, that's a pretty effective finish. It can come from any time, on the turn, off the ropes, on the floor — it can take anyone down."

WWE tribute:

WWE dedicated their show last night to recent victims of a number of gun massacres in the States.

Inter-promotional heat:

Matt Riddle has kicked off at a number of legends on social media, most notably Chris Jericho...

"Jericho, you came at me! I don't know why you're saying, 'Listen and learn, kid.' I'll beat the s--t out of you. I don't understand that; I don't get it. You're soft as hell. Maybe back in your prime but even then, I would have beat the s--t out of you then, so listen and learn from me, bro. Shut your mouth.''

This came after Jericho advised Riddle to read his book and to learn from it, in relation to his comments on Goldberg.

New champs:

R-Truth is 24/7 champ again. He took the gold from Mike Kanellis, after he pinned his wife, Maria, during a medical check up.

  • WWE Champion Kofi Kingston to respond to Randy Orton in exclusive interview
  • Who tried to run down Roman Reigns?
  • Will Aleister Black respond to Sami Zayn's challenge?
  • Is Charlotte Flair ready for Trish Stratus?

Iconic title change was a mistake:

Brutus The Barber says WWF should not have had Dream Team lose the Tag belts at Mania 2 to the British Bulldogs...

"It was brilliant and a very good plan. I loved the Bulldogs but I don't think they were ready to run with the belts and that was a mistake. They should have kept them on us but it is what it is."
