Batista shades Rock and Cena's movie careers:
"Rock was, in a way, a movie star before he was even a movie star. There is something about him that's really special. I'd never take that away from him. Would I consider him a great actor? F--- no. I want good roles. I don't care about Fast and Furious or Bumblebee. ... That's not the kind of stardom I want. ... I want to be in Dune. I want to work with Denis Villeneuve. I want to work with Sam Mendes and Jodie Foster. I want to work with Academy Award winners. I'm proud to be a character actor. I want that respect and credibility and education."

"After all these times of being such a bad guy, I was cheered like I had never been cheered before. After being booed out of all these buildings for so long, they loved me and it was great seeing that. It was exhilarating and fun and I carry that with me. Someone asked me not too long ago what I missed most about WWE, and I said, 'Everything.' There is nothing like having that championship and going out and doing radio and TV talking about it. And I was a good bad guy. Some of these kids who are now 40 said they were watching when they were 8 and they thought they could beat me. People wanted me to lose and they didn't care who I lost to. WWE is the place to be. For me, it's the only place I have ever wanted to be. It's the place that if I'm ready to finish up, that's where I want to be. It's home for me because I have so many fond memories of everything that has been accomplished by WWE and from what I've accomplished myself. It wasn't me alone, it was a huge team effort. That is what's amazing and what is so great about being part of the WWE. The door is open to you and it's up to you if you want to walk through it. I look back on everything and for some unknown reason, everything has a meaning. The timing, everything about this year in the 2019 Hall of Fame, everything was lining up perfectly. I never dreamed it was going to happen and would tell people that it's something I don't think about every day of my life. But to be able to be part of this, it's hard to explain." Here is his HOF VT...

Was cancer real?:
Roman Reigns and WWE have, since last night, been accused by some of inventing Roman's cancer to win the fans over to him, after many failed attempts of getting the paying attendees of their shows to do so thus far. They say it is very convenient that he has recovered in time for Mania, and that his illness was awfully short and cited him having time to go away and make a movie with the Rock, and the fact he still has his hair as proof of their argument. However a number of sufferers of the same illness and charities and support organisations have jumped to the wrestlers defense, one posting this explanation... "Roman's remission appears to be too good to be true. Looking great with all of his hair, five months after diagnosis doesn't fit in with the traditional narrative of a blood cancer patient. Cancer doesn't work like that, does it? Actually, yes, some blood cancers do. I've had a similar type of blood cancer to Roman called chronic myeloid leukaemia (CML) for 11 years now. I take a small white tablet every morning called a tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) and it puts my leukaemia back in its box on a molecular level. I've had bad days where I've felt tired or a bit sick but I've carried on. I work full time in education and haven't taken a day off sick through anything related to the leukaemia. It took me about 9 months to reach a haematological level of remission, in that my blood looked OK. It took 6 years to get to a molecular level of remission and now my leukaemia is pretty much undetectable. I've never lost my hair and I've never had traditional chemotherapy. You see where I'm going with this? Roman is an elite athlete and it might surprise you that I'm not. We've both fought our leukaemia in our own way and in our own timeframe. But there is one thing that I guarantee will annoy any leukaemia patient who is in remission, that's someone saying, 'well, you don't look sick!' Right now, that's happening online. Can't we celebrate Roman looking great and happy or would we prefer him hooked up to a drip, pushed out in a wheelchair? That's our traditional view and if our traditional view has been upended, it isn't a lie. The treatment that has given Roman and me our lives back was hailed in 2001 by Time Magazine as the magic bullet for cancer. Times are changing, we're the trailblazers and millions of people are now living because of that little white tablet. They aren't having devastating does of chemotherapy and in most cases, after taking the tablet they are able to go to work or smash someone around in a wrestling ring. It's still not perfect, some people get side effects from the drugs but as the treatment improves, so will the quality of life. But, let's not forget, and Roman knows this all too well, leukaemia can relapse. We're all living on a knife edge from appointment to appointment. My appointments are six months apart and I still get nervous, I'm sure that I always will. It's a strange way to live…but it's better than the alternative."

David Otunga reveals he had heat with Kevin Owens:
"Kevin Owens got really mad at me one time. I'm trying to remember the actual line but I was making some witty comment and I said something about the battle of the bulge and I was like, 'And we're not talking about Kevin Owen's stomach' or something like that, which I think is pretty tame. Owens was mad and coming at me on Twitter and stuff. The thing of it is Kevin Owens is actually one of my favorite characters like legit, because he's so different. I love the fact that he is who he is. He's different and yeah his stomach hangs over but I think that's awesome. So I was like, 'Hey man, we're on the same team. I don't know if you know that. Dude, you're a heel. This is what we do.' He was like shoot mad. Like he would see me backstage and he wouldn't even say anything or shake my hand or nothing. I think we're cool now. I hope."

He is now calling on all indies to install regular testing to protect other workers from becoming ill by unknowing sufferers infecting them during the often gory kind of wrestling match.

JR tells AEW how to avoid becoming another WCW:
"Well, they've got to continue to create stars. They've got to continue to provide something new and exciting and talented to the fanbase. They've got to have a great television clearance as they start their weekly run this fall, I am told or as I read. So I think that's important. They've struck a chord with many on social media, their footprint, thanks to their social media expertise, is serving them well. But the main thing is they've got to cultivate a talented roster. They can't get stale or predictable and continue to produce great episodic, hard-hitting, no eye-rolling content every week. It's a hell of a big job and it ain't going to be easy."
NXT UK star quits job for WWE:

Why stars are gone:
Dave Meltzer says a number of falling outs between Arn Anderson and Vince McMahon led to his firing from WWE, with the final straw being Vince not liking how Arn handled an incident at a live show last week. Arn took full responsibility for the incident, and was fired on the spot. AA is said to be a strong defender of talent fighting for their spots and criticising creative, which irked the office greatly. TJP was allowed to go because of mounting disciplinary issues, such as recently revealing creative stole an idea from him and gave it to Buddy Murphy.

Rikishi plans to urge sons to quit WWE:
"Jonathan and Joshua Fatu, they are pretty much well secured there in WWE. I taught my kids everything they need to know in the industry, but I think they have nothing else to prove in WWE. My thing is, I'm always concerned about my kids and their bodies holding up in the industry. We don't have time off. They run 365 days a year and gone all the time and performing every night. I'm kind of leaning for them to go to Hollywood. I kind of see a Samoan dynasty reality show for CBS, I think, somewhere down the line. Right now, their contracts are coming up in April. During that time is around WrestleMania. We'll see where they go from there. Wherever the boys decide to go, I know I'll support their decision. I also know the fans of the Usos and the dynasty will support them as well. I really don't think they have anything else to prove in professional wrestling but to move on to other things. I want them to try other things and go into acting. I think these boys are naturals in front of the camera. You see how much they've grown in their promos. Once they gave them the mic, their talent came through."
It is being speculated that WWE were holding off on announcing the recent releases until their no compete rule would have ruled the talent out of the first AEW PPV on May 25. If that is the case, someone in WWE has made a mathematical fail, the 90 days rule will end days before the AEW show, not after it, as is said to have been the plan. Cody Rhodes has already expressed interest in bringing Tye Dillinger to AEW. TJP, contrary to some reports, asked for his release from the company, seemingly after being angered that a creative idea he took to the office was given to Buddy Murphy instead of himself.

Pop goes the TV deal:
Pop's president says his network chose to drop Impact, not the other way around, and revealed why... "Yes, we had a wrestling show every Thursday night, which by the way was one of our 10 highest-rated shows on the network. They wanted to keep going, obviously. It was two hours of original content every Thursday night, 52 weeks a year that would do 400 thousand-500 thousand viewers every Thursday night. We had to really start focusing on brand and expectation, and I think if you're going to pitch yourself and tell audiences that you're this place for premium content, Schitt's Creek, Flack, Florida Girls, this type of stuff, then people need to know what to expect from you when they come to the channel."

"Actually I've known Dwayne Johnson for around 5 years now, and I was going going through a period of time where I was trying to get to WWE and it wasn't easy. It took me around 8 years to get here. But at a time where I was struggling to become a WWE Superstar and struggling to become an actress, I texted him one day and I was like, 'I'm at the end of my rope here, what do you suggest I do? Please give me some guidance.' He's like, 'Actually I've been working on something for the past few days now, give me a little bit and I'll call you.' So I was like, OK and didn't think anything of it. And then he call me and he said, 'So I have this project that we're working with and it's based on this documentary on Paige, and her family, and her life in wrestling. I would love for you to be involved. So I was like, 'OK, sweet. I'll probably just get a little scene in the background and that'd be great.' And he's like, 'No, I want you to be champion. I want you to be my Divas Champion. And you don't even have to audition for the role, it's yours. I know you can do it.' Of course, the waterworks and all that came afterwards, but it was pretty incredible because he's somebody that's believed in me from the start."

Actor holds grudge:
Ken Jeong still harbours bad will toward John Cena from an appearance he made on Raw once... "I hosted WWE RAW with John Cena years ago. And WWE asked me to host it. They were like, 'do you want to do this?' I'm like, 'yeah, I'm an actor - acting is fake; wrestling is fake; what could go wrong, right?' And on the day of, John Cena lifts me up for a bodyslam, throws me over the top rope, and the five motherf--kers who were supposed to catch me didn't! Wrestling is f--king real! He throws me over the top rope, I hit the concrete, my head hits the wooden plank. You can hear the sound of my head hitting the plank. I had to call Tran after RAW went off the air to assure her that I was okay. My whole point is John Cena absolutely sucks. He really does. I'm just saying."
Henry takes charge:
Mark Henry has grown tired of bad behaviour in the WWE locker room and says he will be at evry show going forward to deal with the lack of respect that is prevailing. He cited a recent incident of an unnamed young member of the roster that refused to tidy up the locker room at the end of a show, telling the official that made the request that is ''Was not there job''... "That s**t is going to come to an abrupt stop because I will be at all TV's and all pay-per-views now. This is really new, like within the last two weeks. Every pay-per-view, there is going to be issues within the locker room. We are going to reestablish the leadership chain of command. I am taking a behind the scenes role to keep everyone in balance. Jake talks worst match:
"Great thing the commercials were good because that was it. The match stunk and so did the idea. That was such a horrible thing to choose. What in the hell man. I'm not climbing no pole, are you serious Bill (Watts)? That is the best thing that you could come up with? I thought it was ridiculous and the match was one of my worst matches. Sting wasn't very excited to wrestle back then and he had gotten tired of being the guy that everybody depended on to bring in the big house and he was getting lazy because he had that contract and that is the bad thing about contracts is that guys get lazy and are like well, I'll get all my money anyway. That is the wrong way to look at it brother, those are the guys that hurt wrestling. Those contracts and they didn't go out there and put out and they didn't push it and he went out there and did just enough to get by. Well, that is just not how you do it, that is not how you wrestle and never will and same goes for these shows that I'm doing now. I go out there and I gut it and it is kind of crazy but after an hour or an hour and twenty minuets out there on stage I feel like I worked a damn match and I am using that energy and I pour it out. I empty the damn bucket and by the end of the night I have to get out of there because I am exhausted and ready to collapse because I put everything I can into it and that is how much I believe in it."
Sgt Slaughter recalls death threats:
"So he starts laying out the Iraqi sympathizer, and you think America's got weak, and a little country like Iraq taking over Kuwait and running the world, and you're back and you're not happy. I said, 'Okay.' He said, 'Well, go home and talk to your family about it because it could be a little rough.' It was beneficial, yeah. But we had bomb threats, death threats every night. I came home from back to Philadelphia after winning the title from the Ultimate Warrior in Miami at the Royal Rumble, and one of the backstage hands said, 'Hey, have you talked to your wife?' And I said, 'No.' 'Have you talked to Vince McMahon?' 'No.' We didn't have cell phones, so, I get on the phone, my wife's answering machine. I call Vince, 'Oh yeah, Sgt., I just talked to your wife and I sent her to a hotel.' I said, 'What happened?' Well, somebody called up the wrestling office this morning and said they're gonna kill you, and kill me, and kill our families; Blow up our houses and cars."

NXT>WWE:
Matt Riddle says NXT is better than the child like WWE main product, which is watered down... "I think we're just different, and I know that's easy to say. We're different, we're new, we're fresh, and we're not the same, watered down child's product that WWE is kind of turned into a lot. When people watch us—even though it's scripted a lot of the time, but it's more real. It's more believable."
Paige calmed Nia:
Paige says she had to calm an emotional Nia Jax after she injured Becky Lynch... "I had to calm Nia down from that because she was like, 'I feel like everyone is mad!. And I said, 'You know what? This elevated Becky so much too. And you're about to turn heel anyways — so who cares?'"
Bagwell claims Bischoff wanted him dead:
Buff Bagwell says he wanted him to fake his death in a plane crash during the dying days of WCW... "100% true. MGM Grand was the Halloween Havoc we did - the last one, if not the last Havoc, and Bischoff wanted me to die in a plane crash. I said, 'Eric, I couldn't get you to get the cameras in the hospital to see. Are you kidding me?' And so, he was gonna do it. I already called my parents and said, 'Hey, you know, get ready for this so that I won't scare you guys, and all that.' I called them few and my wife, and all them to let them know, and they switched it finally to some kind of run in as, I think president Clinton with a mask or something. At the same time, he wanted me to come down like a ghost on wires after the plane crash, too. That was out of his mouth to me."

Tazz defends WWE burying Ambrose as he leaves the company:
"I'm sitting there reading some this stuff and I'm like, 'are these f--king people crazy?' Really, are you out of your frickin' mind? Do you expect the WWE to have Dean Ambrose look good on the way out the door? That's called doing the honors. That's the business. That's what the business was built on. When you leave, and you go someplace else, or you just give your notice, and you're leaving on your terms, you do the frickin' job on the way out the door. It's business. It's the right way to do business. Anybody who says that doesn't know the business. They don't! You can read all the dirt sheets, all the f--king bulls--t online, and all the social media accounts. If you're b---hing that a guy is going to be leaving, and he gave notice, if you're b---hing about the way he's going to be treated as he walks out the door, then you truly don't know about the wrestling business. Nothing. That's the right way to do business by WWE and the right way by Dean Ambrose."
Mr. Kennedy reveals why he has never returned to WWE:
"I don't really know. I think part of it had to do with my attitude, probably. I was very – I was like bitter for a couple of years after I left WWE, and said some things I probably shouldn't have said. In hindsight, I can say if I could point to any one reason, I would point to myself."
Sexist Alum:
Disco Inferno has drawn heat and accusations of sexism after saying he does not believe in women's wrestling... "I am not a big fan of women's wrestling. To me women's wrestling is kind of like the WNBA. They're the best female basketball players in the world, but they're not as good as the guys. I'm not saying that there's not a lot of talented women's wrestlers. But the formula has shown in the past that regardless of your in-ring work, the more attractive you are determines how over you are. I am a fan of the women's wrestlers that can combine good looks with good work. If there's a girl out there whose work isn't as good but she's hotter and has sex appeal, I'm a fan of that. But collectively, I'm not a big fan of women's wrestling. They had that Mae Young Classic – I can't watch that. Pro wrestling to me is based around grown men that want to fight each other….That's just what I'm a fan of."
