Slam card starts, WWE star gives up on release request?, Balor Finn-ishing up, Alum avoids jail, and more...

Bryan pulled from Slam:

WWE pulled Daniel Bryan from the SummerSlam title shot battle royal last night, and replaced him with Sami Zayn. The match was won by Seth Rollins.

Quit star back at work:

Luke Harper had his WWE release request turned down earlier this year. He has sat at home since, at least until this past weekend. He was back on the road with the live tour, and is expected back on TV soon.

 Balor Finn-ishing soon:

Finn Balor has told WWE he needs time away. It is expected he will be written out after SummerSlam, as he needs to ''Recharge.''

SummerSlam:

Becky Lynch vs Natalya is official for the red Women's gold.

New champ:

R-Truth has regained the 24/7 from Drake Maverick, although not as he hoped. He has revealed Vince McMahon blocked him from taking the gold from Drake at the Brit's recent, and real, wedding. Truth's idea was to kidnap and hide away Maverick's lady love, and put on her dress, then attack Drake at the ceremony.

Fans turn on women:

Alexa Bliss and Naomi have reacted badly to the fans of Raw during their match last night. Chants of ''Boring'' ''This is awful'' ''Bring back Sasha'' and ''We want / hate John Cena'' drowned out their bout. Alexa says she felt disrespected and Naomi said she was confused by the rudeness.

Mickie in surgery:

Mickie James is out for the year. She is having ACL surgery today and will be out for 7-9 months.

SmackDown tease:

  • Shane McMahon to host a town hall meeting
  • Daniel Bryan to make a career-altering announcement
  • The Kabuki Warriors to challenge WWE Women's Tag Team Champions The IIconics
  • Ember Moon and a mystery partner to face Rose & Deville

Alum avoids jail:

The Berzerker was sentenced to 5 years in jail for constantly breaching driving laws, but his ill health got it dropped to 4 years of probation, as long as he is in assisted living, and is kept away from cars. His lawyer says he will need care for the rest of his life and is no longer a threat.
