New owner for WWE?:


Billionaire John De Mol is reportedly monitoring WWE, with an interest in purchasing the company as and when Vince McMahon is ready to retire. De Mol is worth $2.2 billion, and his company has recently bought a 6% stake in the promotion.

WWE released a brief statement on the rumours...

"WWE, controlled by founder and Chief Executive Officer Vince McMahon through Class B shares, isn't in any discussions about a potential sale."


Rematch:


Gawker have filed their appeal against Hulk Hogan's massive victory against them. They are asking that the original verdict be thrown out, or that the $140 million damages are greatly reduced. Their appeal will be heard on May 25.


Exclusive WrestleMania collection:


WWE will release a limited edition box set of WrestleMania 32. 1000 numbered copies of the set will be released, and will be priced at £122.00, but may drop to £75-£80. As well as the DVD, you can get a WrestleMania DVD art poster, a poster of a legend, and the official event poster, as well as memorabilia of a ''One of a kind nature.'' It is not specified what the item(s) may be.

NXT cameos at Mania:


Triple H had a number of NXT stars take part in his entrance at WrestleMania, one of whom was NXT champion Finn Balor. They were under the masks of the zombie like creatures that led him to the ring.


She is done:


Brie Bella confirmed her retirement on Twitter last night. She says she may have retired one day too soon, after commenting on the new Women's title.


SummerSlam sell out:


WWE SummerSlam tickets went on sale on Sunday, and have already been snapped up, according to Ticketmaster. They also revealed that the show is set to be 4 hours again this year.


Bray vs WWE:


Bray Wyatt says WWE do not know what they have with his faction, and still do not know how to use them properly...

"I don't think, when we set out and finally got the call up, I don't know if WWE really understood what they had. Like, we knew the NXT crowd had responded so well to us and they kind of like attached themselves to us and when we came up here, we, never in a million years, thought it was going to explode the way it did. And it did. It exploded. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And it was just that kind of thing, the right place at the right time. And we were so different, man. We were so different that I don't think the company knew even how to use us. 'What are these things?' Like, we were so different and in the promos and so different in the way we looked and how we moved. We were big and we would fly and do all this crazy stuff. Like, I don't think anyone expected us to be so complete. And they still don't know how to use what we are."


Cena reveals addiction:


John Cena says he goes through about 3-5 boxes of Tic Tacs as part of his pre show ritual.


Injury:


Sasha Banks posted a photo outside of a hospital today, and was pulled from SmackDown. No further info is available as yet.


WWE have signed major TNA star:


Bobby Roode was introducing himself to everybody he could at WrestleMania. He was shown on camera at NXT Dallas, but had signed his WWE contract a week earlier, he will start his career with NXT in the coming weeks.


John Cena:


John Cena has joined the ever growing list of talent to offer the donation of his brain for concussion awareness, at the event of his death. He also confirmed that pop star Justin Bieber was going to compete at SummerSlam a couple of years ago, and that even though that fell through, it may still happen in the future. He said he would love to be the man to team with, or wrestle against him.


Foley dropping weight:


Mick Foley says DDP Yoga helped him lose 50lbs in the build up to WrestleMania.


Title change official:


Jade has officially won the Knockouts Championship for TNA.


Backstage WrestleMania notes:



  • Shane McMahon was sent to be checked at a local medical facility after his match.
  • The backstage area popped huge for Zack Ryder when he won his match.
  • The Rock was in a separate locker room, guarded by heavy security, and left right after his spot ended.
  • Alicia Fox was in huge heat backstage, not from the office, but the other women. She was apparently involved in an incident with one of the other female roster members at one of the previous weekends lives.
  • Two rings were set up backstage for talent to practise their spots before their matches.

Celeb match at Mania:


Shaq says he will face Big Show at WrestleMania 33 in Orlando, next year. He finally made his long talked about debut last Sunday in the Battle Royal.
