Today's News

Legend to TNA:

Great Muta has signed on to compete at LockDown, he will team with his protege Sanada, and TNA newcomer Tigre Uno vs Bad Influence and Chris Sabin.

Indy show called off:

An Extreme Rising event set for tonight in the old ECW arena, has been pulled, and rescheduled for April 25. The arena could not get their safety inspections done in time.

WWE Network:

The sign up for the Network is thought to be much higher than the figures WWE released, it is thought they are playing them down for now, and are waiting to see how many go on from the free week, to sign up as a paying subscriber, before releasing the official figures.

TNA will have some worries about their numbers, Impact failed to make it into the top 100 watched shows for only the 3rd time in it's history, after competing with NXT this week.

Virgil:

WWE Alum Virgil has landed a movie, in rather strange circumstances. Producers of ''Bridge and Tunnel'', a movie about a group of Twenty Somethings transitioning into adulthood in New York, saw the ex WWE man selling autographs in the underground stations in the city, and offered him a part in the flick. Here is the trailer...

WWE DVD:

WWE have released the first ad for the Ultimate Warrior DVD...

And Signature Sounds DVD...

NXT Arrival:

Keen eyed viewers may have spotted former TNA announcer SoCal Val at NXT, she was sitting in the second row, and appeared on screen behind John Cena at one point.

WrestleMania 30:

WWE are currently working on the following idea's for Mania...

* Randy Orton vs Batista, will have a third participant added, but they are not confirming who that will be.

* The Undertaker vs Brock Lesnar (Confirmed).

* Bray Wyatt vs John Cena.

* Daniel Bryan vs either Triple H or Kane.

* Big E. vs Dean Ambrose (IC / US title match unification).

* Erick Rowan & Luke Harper vs Roman Reigns & Seth Rollins.

* Christian vs Sheamus.

* Cody Rhodes vs Goldust.

* Multi team Tag Title match, New Age Outlaws defending, other teams TBA.

* Multi person Diva's Title match, AJ Lee defending vs opponents TBA.

* An NXT match.

They also still have a triple threat match between the members of the Shield on the table, but that would mean Ambrose dropping the US strap before Mania, to allow the unification, so the Shield split may be pushed back further into the summer.

Gimmick changes:

Tensai was introduced to NXT fans at last nights TV taping's as ''Jason Alberts''.

And disappointingly Sami Callihan, who made his debut at the taping's, has dropped the hacker gimmick, that was very popular on the NXT live circuit. He is still named Solomon Crowe.

TNA stars almost come to blows:

Ramage Jackson and King Mo Lawal, who have a long personal feud almost came to blows last night as they prepare to face each other in an MMA tournament final.

TNA:

TNA have officially requested that their talent renegotiate their contracts, and accept a smaller amount of pay than they currently receive, this has been talked about for a while, and will now start. This could be a major test of loyalty for their talent, who will stay, who won't?. Interesting times await for TNA fans.

Ziggler vs WWE:

Dolph Ziggler is upset that WWE cut pro Ziggler chants from this weeks SmackDown, he tweeted...

"Kudos to @WWE for editing out the WE WANT ZIGGLER chants face to face w/dave I will never forget that thank u milwaukee #SmackDown ...it only wouldve helped the show and made the match that much better @wwe #SmackDown keep doing your thing @WWEUniverse".

He also cut a promo for the WWE App, saying WWE have told him there is no room for him at Mania this year.

WWE top 10:

Undertaker returns...

Hulk Hogan talks WWE return:

"Over the last couple years, there'll be texts between Vince and I. "Happy birthday brother!" on August 24th, his birthday. Christmas, Thanksgiving. We'll touch base like that. And then I guess the word got out that I was jobless. I didn't know what I was going to do. I was thinking of going back to playing music or something. On a Tuesday, I was officially out of work. And Friday morning I was drinking my coffee and I hear my cell phone. And it was Triple H. "Hey brother, just checking on you." I'm like, "Hey, dude, I'm just contemplating my navel here. I'm officially out of work, I'm unemployed." And that started us talking. In my heart, I was hoping to come back here. I was hoping to put the period on the end of the sentence and it was the logical extension. It just made so much sense to come back."
