Today's News

Samoa Joe works first WWE matches:

Samoa Joe beat Scott Dawson at last nights block of NXT tapings, and then wrestled Kevin Owens for a later episode.

TNA cancellation:

TNA roster members will not be informed of what is going on with the TNA TV situation until the next tapings, that is not until June 24 - 28, so they face an uncertain time for the next few weeks.

There is still no official conformation from Destination America, TNA, or their parent company.

There is real animosity building between the TNA office and the man that broke the story Dave Meltzer, with ever more personal attacks being thrown back and forth on Twitter.

The Rock:

The Rock has married a fan today. Not as strange as it sounds. A Rock superfan was interviewing him to promote his San Andreas movie, when The Rock surprised him by announcing he was going to officiate his wedding, and did it there and then. Here is the surprise announcement as it happened...

Actor tells Rousey she is going backwards:

David Spade is not a fan of Ronda Rousey's WWE ambitions, he told TMZ...

"She could get hurt, and fake wrestling is probably harder than real fighting. You could get hurt easier. I think she's so good at what she's doing, she's probably just bored."

Rousey responded diplomatically...

"I think you have to be a fan of the sport to understand how awesome it is and it's too bad he's not a fan."

Punk to wrestle this weekend?:

A promoter that has Samoa Joe booked to appear for him this weekend has cleverly used the hype surrounding his WWE debut this week, to plug his own show. He said he would cancel the main event, and would happily replace Johnny Gargano with CM Punk as Samoa's opponent. Punk took the bait and asked how much he was offering, and the two men traded light hearted tweets teasing he would take the match, he almost certainly will not.

TNA star blasts McMahon:

Gail Kim has praised Triple H's booking of the women recently, and slammed Vince McMahon as ''Sexist'' for his views on women's wrestling, during her time with WWE.

TNA:

Knux has been moved to the alumni page of TNA's site, but TNA are talking to Simon Inoki about a talent exchange with IGF in Japan.

New employee injured:

WWE's new seamster had a try out match at last nights NXT tapings. He worked a tag match as Mikaze but was injured during the bout, and was unable to go on. It was clear to fans that it was not a planned angle, as his opponents were surprised when the referee threw up the ''X'' and doctors came out. He was taken to a local hospital, accompanied by his fiance Sasha Banks, who missed all four episodes taped last night, possibly, but not confirmed, because of this incident.

Sabu:

Sabu has revealed Paul Heyman wanted to take him to court when he quit ECW...

"Paul Heyman tried to sue me and said it was because of me leaving the company that it hurt the company so bad it went out of business, which I believe, but it was going out of business. I wasn't getting paid, neither was anybody else."

Trish is in:

Trish Stratus says she would be up for the ''Team Bestie'' vs Bella Twins match...

"I think the idea is interesting. 'Team Bestie' is up for anything. If the fans want it, who knows? When Amy (Lita) and I were working against each other, we were having fantastic matches because we knew each other's motions and body movements. I think as a team we could utilize that same chemistry, but channel it in a different way."

WWE Alum blasts WWE:

Josh Mathews, current announcer with TNA, is furious at WWE's use of Samoa Joe this week...

''How did the @WWENXT announcers know who @SamoaJoe was if we are #obscurity in their world? Sick of hypocrisy.''
