NXT:

TNA employee Tommy Dreamer was the surprise ECW star that came back to face NXT man Baron Corbin last night. He works backstage for TNA, but has no contract with them, so there should be no inter promotional conflict over the appearance.

Corbin won the match.

Lana movie released:

Lana appears under her real name in the movie Pitch Perfect 2, which was released this weekend.

Diva injured:

Brie Bella may be out of Payback. She suffered a shoulder injury during a live event last night and had to be taken to the back. The bout was a tag match, meaning she left her sister alone to fend for herself, until WWE asked Paige, who was backstage, to run in to make the save for the Diva's champion.

WWE have not confirmed Brie's status for this Sunday's PPV event as yet.

WWE death:

Joe Franciosi of the WWE creative team died of a heart attack yesterday.

Batista attacks WWE:

WWE congratulated Titus O'Neill for winning celebrity father of the year yesterday, via Twitter...

 "@TitusONeilWWE you're everything a WWE star should be! Get out there and represent our company!! "

Batista replied to that tweet with this...

''Titus Then why don't you give me a push?'
WWE: 'Sorry there's nothing for you creatively' #sameoldbulls--t."

This is not the first time he has spoken out against WWE underutilising his friend, he said during an interview to promote his Guardians movie last summer...

"I also have a really close friend, Thaddeus Bullard, who is Titus O'Neil and he's actually a really close friend. I think there is a lot that remains to be seen from him and I don't think they're doing him justice, they aren't really using him to his full ability and I'd love to be that guy that kind of brings him up to the next level, so if I could accomplish that, that would be great,"

TNA in trouble... again:

Destination America are said to have lost interest in TNA, and contractually can drop them from their deal as early as this September. TNA are hoping for a big improvement in their figures and ratings when they change nights next month.

DVD news:

WCW volume 3 will be released on August 11.

Nikki heat:

Nikki Bella and John Cena are being criticised online for an Instagram video. Nikki films herself miming to the Disney song ''Let It Go'' while Cena sits on the toilet feigning being constipated. A number of their fans did not enjoy the joke.

Lita talks WrestleMania dream match:

She wants to team with Trish Stratus against the Bella Twins...

"When I threw it out there, the fans have been reacting pretty positively to it. I wouldn't rule it out. They have come quite a long way. They are really good in the ring at this point. I think it would be really interesting to see the two girls form this era that are getting a lot of TV time with the girls from the past era. It will be interesting to see what happens."
