Today's News

Former WWE star announces retirement:

Rory McAllister of the Highlanders has decided to end his wrestling career, he says he will confirm when soon.

Honky Tonk Man on HOF:

The Honky Tonk Man has revealed he does not expect to be inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame, because he rejected the offer of induction in the past.

He says WWE contacted him less than two weeks before the ceremony, and he already had dates booked, so out of loyalty to those promoters, he decided not to accept...

"When they had the Hall of Fame ceremony here in Phoenix, they contacted me about that, and they contacted me way too late about it. It was like two weeks before, and they said, 'We'd like to do this thing and induct you into the Hall of Fame and we think it would be a great honor for you.' I said I thought it would too and I really appreciated the offer, but I had signed a contract to do these Wizard World Conventions and I was set to go to Toronto. I had to fulfill that obligation, so I turned them down.

"Obviously, when you say no that makes them very upset with you, so I don't know if that particular invitation will ever come around again. If it does; it does. If it doesn't; it doesn't. It's one of those things I have no control over."

WWE on YouTube:

WWE have ended some of their YouTube shows, including the one hosted by Dolph Ziggler, because the one year deal they signed with YouTube is up, they have listed a series of new shows, to try for a second year partnership, and want fans opinions on what they would like to see...

* Behind-the-scenes footage and backstage interviews
* "Best of" video rankings and countdowns
* Superstar-hosted reality shows
* Profiles of Superstars' lives outside the ring and/or at home
* Ring action recaps and highlight reels
* WWE-themed game shows with fan contestants
* Superstar-hosted fitness and exercise shows
* Animated WWE shows/WWE cartoons
* Classic full-length WWE matches
* WWE news center/live fan "call-in" show

All of these ideas were penciled in for the WWE Network.

Injury news:

David Otunga suffered a nasty gash to his head, from a giant chop by The Great Khali at a house show in Canada this weekend.

Santino Marella has started to train again after his neck injury.

MVP:

Says he is not contracted to NJPW and is free to make a WWE return if they come calling.

Raw:

Tonight's official tease from WWE...

* What will Cody Rhodes & Damien Sandow have in store for Kane and Daniel Bryan?

* Who will The Miz use the Figure Four on next, on his way to Antonio Cesaro?

* Will Alberto Del Rio continue to rub his World Title win in Big Show's face?

* Will CM Punk weaken The Rock before their battle at Royal Rumble?

In another interesting note, the arena are advertising Eve Torres for an appearance, despite her leaving WWE last week, she is on her way for a holiday with her Fiance Rener Gracie, so she almost certainly will not be there.

Tom Prichard on Dean Ambrose:

In an article about The Shield member, Dr Tom says he is mis-understood in the back, saying his aloofness and lack of sociability is a way to preserve a sense of mystery about himself, not arrogance...

"Perhaps because of that, he's been misunderstood backstage – or at least he was when I was in WWE," said Prichard. "He's trying to keep that mystery about him, and be different – breaking the mold, so to speak. Ambrose has a unique style and presence, and he reminds me a lot of Johnny Valentine. William Regal was one of the first to recognize how smart he was, and that stamp of approval is good enough for me".

Released Diva thanks WWE:

Skyler Moon has reverted to her old indy name Buggy Nova, and confirmed her time with WWE is over, but thanked them for her time there...

"WWE did nothing but good for me. They gave me another chance at life by sending me to rehab. For that i am forever grateful "

Edge:

Says he will not return to the ring, and has no plans to take a job working as a backstage agent with WWE, saying he is enjoying being home.
